Breaks are healthy for sure. The effort and content you have done over the years is amazing which is reflected in the support and comments. Whenever you are ready we come flooding back 👍🏻
I think we all have highs and lows with the hobby (any hobby really) simply because life comes first but that fire in the stomach will come back! I’ve not looked at any of my buggies since just after Xmas but lately I’ve started tinkering with them again for no reason🤷♂️ I think (and it’s only my opinion) since we’ve got no monthly magazine celebrating rc cars in the uk😢 that magazine dropping on your doormat once a month keeping you interested has basically knocked my interest!
Good seeing back on here. I totally get needing a break from it every now and then. There are time where I sit back and wonder why i keep buying things when i have so many. A few weeks goes by, a new thing is announced and it fires back up again again LOL!! Don't bother about the haters, they always are going to pop up every now and then, I do get it can get you down or annoyed. If they raise your blood pressure, block them and keep on doing your thing! Take care Glenn and have a wonderful weekend!
I've learned that there are 2 types of people in the world. Positive and negative. The negative ones are just that, negative. They pick out flaws with everything, nothing is right, and blah blah blah. Just negative, negative, negative. I feel blessed that I'm a positive and also don't let the negative ones bring me down. I very much enjoy your channel. I'm 47 years old and have a smaller collection of Tamiya R/C's and still adding to it. I really enjoy your channel. Hope to see you in future videos.
Great to see you back, this hobby isn’t quantity it’s quality and like an old friend it’s there for you when you need it. It’s magic to those of us who smell the tires, agonize over box art or custom paint and get excited every time we hear a rumour the 959 might get rereleased! Keep on representing us and appreciate your support! Maybe we need to start a go fund me to get you to Japan and you could host a special show at TAMIYA headquarters!
Glenn, it's great to see you again. Take your time and come back when you called, but come back. You are a Legend and this hobby is way better because of you.
Got a fun little story for you..... Our local track started an all new racing glass, based on engineering over sheer power. They have several specific cars in the classes. The idea is to reengineer old cars to be more modern to handle and perform well. I am in the Grasshopper class. Rules are simple... 1. you can make any engineering mods 2. you can use any modern electronics 3. you have to keep stock wheel base 4. you must use the factory size brushed motor but it can be a modern motor 5. factory shell must mount via original factory way 5. original and re re kits allowed My car.... I 3d printed some mounts for my grasshopper and used a holiday buggy front end to eliminate the poor factory front end geometry and tilting front tires. I 3D printed a extension plate mounted to the an independent suspension rear end front a DT racing fighter. with proper extensions to the a arms i widened it 8mm in front and 10mm in back. i had aluminum front shock towers made and use longer oil filled shocks. here is the kicker. i used my dads original super G or what was left of it. While everyone else is using a Titan 380 and such im use an old rebuilt Monster Trinity 540 and killing everyone. lol
Good to see you again, life and hobbies is what it is. My enthusiasm waxes and wanes depending if there is a car I really want to build and whether I have money to buy. That said, I look forward to you getting the oomph back 👍🏼 Haters will hate, nature of the beast with the interweb and social media, people are brave when they are in front of a keyboard as opposed to face to face, and I totally get how they can sometimes knock your day off kilter. Still get an attack of the drools when you pan over to your display 😅
So nice to see a Glenn video again I'm back again myself from the wall after being out for 3 years That DB01 RRR is juicy 😋 JW and Justin were great, too bad they stopped with their reviews and talks about T
I too have hit the rc wall over the past couple of months. I've had my cougar out on my bench to work on all that time and I've done very little work to fix it and install the upgrades I have ready but I know it'll all come flooding back as it always does. We've all missed you Glen and your school boy like enthusiasm for the cars.... Especially your patented saying.... LOOK AT IT!.... take no notice of any haters, we all have them bro for 1 reason or another but I look forward to you coming roaring back. Much love to ya Glen! 👍
Another Aussie that misses your content Glenn. Been binge watching your older vids. Looking good mate, Was thinking you're looking lighter and then you said it!! Keep up with the weights mate! Most of all ...take your time...We'll all be here. Funny, well not so funny, you mentioned hitting the Tamiya wall... I've hit the Tamiya Kicker at 60mph. In the space of a month I've built a Tamiya Avante 2011, (My first Tamiya in 34 years) and within 3 weeks of each other have two...TWO!!! Porsche 959's in my not so Tamiya collection all thanks to you!! I haven't been this chuffed since I was a little kid ripping my Hornet around like a possessed child!!!
This hobby will always be a part of you no matter, you've given a great gift to everybody who enjoys your videos, when I first found your page I was so excited there was someone who excitedly shared the love of this nostalgic hobby as I did. My participation in this hobby I'll always love has also wained throughout times in my life but I always found myself one sunny day eager to tinker or just charge up a battery and run the heck out of one of my vintage buggies or trucks. Sometimes you need a break and time to experience other things life offers. Life is for living, loving, experiencing new things and revisiting the things that you love which makes you, you... Your video posts are my favorite on RUclips when im down or just looking for a friend when I feel lost. Enjoy and experience whatever it is in life that makes you feel alive and loving life, keep your kind wondrous nature growing as life is too short and I"ll bet you'll aways come back to this hobby as it is a large part of who you are> Whatever path you end up traveling I want to thank you for all the time and sharing you've given to us and the hobby you love........Eternal Thanks from Earl...........
Hi from Australia. Missed your accent and you talking rc stuff. Just drive a car or two and film it. I come and go from my rc hobby, life gets in the way and other hobbies come and go too.
I agree with you Glenn. I think on social media we forget that it is a real person with real feelings and emotions on the other side. Great reminder to be kind and care for the other person. Always going to be trolls who are narcissists on the other side sadly.
I haven’t been making videos either Glenn. I just closed my business, and am getting laid off from my other job. Any money I have goes to food and bills so no money for RC right now. When my life gets back in order I’ll be back in it.. I’m glad to see you making a video. I miss my Saturday mornings with Glenn. Take care my friend, hope to see you soon
Missed you from Australia. I am 70's model and so miss the old TVs playing those adds. Hope you keep the collection. Love it, take a break, life is level's bro. Love your content. I would eat breakfast here in Australia and watch your videos. Love you bro. Goody's craft beer reviews
Great seeing your video again! I totally understand the not feeling the hobby right now, I'm in the same boat, almost not done any RC in 2 years now. Please ignore the Trolls 😁
I had a 10yr break due to moving away and loving in other countries for work and still love away but the passion came back so hope it does for you also 👍
I feel you with not feeling the hobby. I go through waves as well. Glen you do what’s best for you and your mental health. RC will always be there. Happy RC’ing!!!
Hey Glenn, great to see you back. When i came back to the hobby a couple of years ago, yours was one of the first channels i found to help me get my head around the vintage cars. For me the best thing about your channel was that its passion driven and not forced to try and get views like others are. I know that is the reason why youve been able to create such a loyal community around you. I am totally fine with sporadic uploads because i know it will be worth the wait. Take it easy buddy and thanks from New Zealand.
Glad to see you back on the tube. I get it man... maybe you're just content for now and happy how things are. Like you once said and not in these exact words... Its one thing to be in this hobby but to sustain content on a weekly basis or even every few days is a whole other thing. Just enjoy life brotha! By the way, the DB01 is dope. I don't have one in my collection and now you got me interested in one. Again, good to see you and hope to see more of you.
Great to see you again. We all have those moments of extreme passion and moments where we have to take a break. Still, thank you for the update. All the best and warm wishes from Ireland!

I too have hit the wall with the hobby. Just can't bring myself to do anything rc. But it'll all come back, it always does after a little rest but good to see you back Glen and look forward to coming back with more vids
One thing your videos DO is get US back in to the mood again. Watching you twiddle the thumbs and diffs, with your sweet saltery voice gives us motivation to have a play. H8rz can kiss marse.
Great to see you Glenn. Take your time. A hobby should always feel like a hobby and not like a must. We are here and our subscriptions to your channel stands.
Good to see you back again Glen, your channel has always been my favourite for tamiya rc and have learned a lot from your videos.Take your time about coming back no pressure.
Watching from Leeds, Yorkshire! Great to see you back doing a video. Please don't feel obliged to go back to how it was. I'm just hoping you get the buzz for RC again as your channels are inspiring! All the best. Scott
They do a good fish n chip roll in Leeds, but your footy stadium is a bit small it looks like a house compared to an Aussie stadium ha jokes aside enjoy.

Glenn, I have three cars in the corner of my room. Two are still in the box, an Optima Mid and a TT-02, and the third is a Tamiya Subie Brat that needs the bodies painted and the driver. I just can't get to them at the moment. I "want" to , but the motivation isn't there yet. Hang in there it'll come.

Awesome to see you back behind the camera for another Tamiya Legends video Glenn. Everyone needs a break from time to time, great to see that your fit n well. Take care my friend. 🇦🇺

I HOPE YOUR GET YOUR PASSION BACK, I'LL BE TUN'N IN!!!!
This is weird indeed. Seems like it's a financial hit for him to step away and possibly lose his viewer/subs. IDk.
