The views in these videos are my own. Any reviews are honest and unbiased even if items are sent to me for testing and review. Shooting is performed on a private range with plenty of backstop. Eye and ear protection used by me and my camera lady. Don’t try this at home. Don’t try to repeat any of this testing.

Thanks for the great side by side comparison betweem my two top options. You confirmed my suspicions of which would be the better fit for us.
I especially appreciate the note and look at the nicer trigger on the Savage.
I don't understand how Keystone markets "pull trigger to decock" as part of the "safest possible rifle." That seems to go against every safety rule we're trying to teach the kids. Let alone the nonstandard method to cock it, a skill they'll never use again -- being sold as a feature to slow them down. AKA make it more steps to have to remember. 🤷🏻‍♂️
OTIH, sad to find out Savage only has the one year warranty vs the Crickett's lifetime warranty. But, what are the odds of a problem coming up after year one. At these price points maybe it's irrelevant.
Wish I could throw you some business, we'll be down in Mississippi in just a few weeks, from the nanny tyranny state of Illinois, but unfortunately you know.. rifle sales to residents of neighboring states only, because that's constitutional and will save the children 🙄
We'd be up in northern Mississippi anyhow so a long way to go for a small rifle anyhow. But we do appreciate you. Thank you so much and God bless America. ✌🏻

Glad you appreciate the side by side. Yeah. The Rock House is a great place. I don’t work there actually. They let me make videos there. If you want to help the channel out, share my content. I appreciate you watching and commenting. 👍🏻👍🏻

The Keystone reminds me of my old Marlin 100 but smaller. Lol I like both.

After watching this I recommend a Marlin model 10. You can't get safer than manually cocked because you have a second hammer strike capability without opening the bolt. Otherwise, I would take the Crickett in stainless and I think you know the reason.

I got the stainless cricket with mossy oak stock chambered in 22 magnum. It is a wicked little setup for small game and hogs. In MS we can hunt hogs with any firearm legal for any open season, so I can pretty much hunt pigs for like 5 months during small game season. I love that it's so tiny, and only weighs right over 3 pounds with the scope. Wish it had the capability to accept a small magazine, but it is a cool little gun.

@@R4MT1 My original plans for this gun was to replace the stock with a short piece of wood or better yet polymer round stock, just long enough to get a fore grip on....and either have a hinged folding wire stock, or a screw in carbon fiber or hollow alloy tube for the butt stock. Something that would not add weight, and take down for a really minimalist survival type rifle to pair with a shotgun. I believe it's simple design, lightweight, and stainless construction would aid in that role.
