I remember you posted that drawing in the art channel, but the sketch version itself. Is there any story/meaning behind that figure or is it a spontaneous idea?
Aside from that, great video and happy new year!

Thanks, dude! Happy new year to ya. The sketch was pretty much a spontaneous idea. I wanted to have some hand drawn art on the cassette j-card of an Influenza rehearsal tape. I was mainly inspired by a lot of old school death metal demo artwork. Some examples being the artwork found on demos from bands such as Grave, Dismember, and Nihilist (pre-Entombed). For the 2 drawings I did, I looked to the album cover of Morbid Saint's "Spectrum of Death," Iron Maiden's mascot, Eddie, and Motörhead's mascot, Snaggletooth, as a guide of what features to include. The long hair on the skull is the Morbid Saint influence, the sharp teeth and Iron Cross came from Snaggletooth, and the general skull idea was a mix of Morbid Saint and Iron Maiden's Eddie. The 2 sketches were done when I was up late on May 21st, 2022. I titled the first drawing (the one I didn't end up using due to accidentally sketching it on lined paper) "Schädel" which is German for "Skull." I titled the drawing featured on the Influenza rehearsal tape j-card "Schädel aus Metall" which means "Metal Skull" in German.

@@BrandonRelkamOfficial So it's like a hybrid of classic metal mascots, that's actually a pretty awesome idea. Looking forward to new Influenza stuff in the future👌
