    I just recently found your channel and I am so IMPRESSED with all of your videos, honesty, and that you are non-sponsored. Love the fact that you strap on these devices and try the lasers on yourself. You definitely look like you are growing young with all of the videos I have watched. Appreciate all that you are doing and raising children, in practice, and just living life. Thank you so much.

    Please keep doing what you’re doing. I can only imagine how challenging it is to post RUclips and see so many patients but you are helping so many people. You have already helped me so much just watching your videos to heal my scars. I’ve done a package of micro needling and you are saving me thousands of dollars and grief. I am now officially done with med spas and only going to doctors or nurses for any medical aesthetics. You are creating a movement of accountability in this space which is so important because people have real valid issues with our skin and we need proper care. I think any aesthetics is not taken seriously but if you have acne scars that in my opinion is a medical issue

  • @pnevlud
    @pnevlud 11 месяцев назад +71

    Sadly some of the docs on RUclips don’t like lasers and say it is a waste of money is only because they are trying to get us to do a face lift with them or buy their products 🤦‍♀️ some of us don’t want surgery

      @patriotliberty3070 10 месяцев назад +9

      Exactly!!! I'd love to hear their lame reasoning for how she looks 20 yrs younger without surgery & only using lasers and other modalities! She is proof they are liars and only saying it for financial gain not to actually empower people with the truth grrrrrr! Pisses me off!

    • @kellydeal72

      Microneedling is taking over from lasers because microneedling works just as well as lasers or even better and microneedling is ten times cheaper and even DIY.Penn Smith Skincare and the Budget Dermatologist teach Microneedling on their RUclips channels..

    Stef, I adore you and have long appreciated your knowledge but I have to emphasize to the population listening that there ARE highly trained and skilled providers in some Med Spas, the one I work at is a prime example. We have a Dr in office nearly all the time, have 3 PAs and 2 extensively trained pico laser techs… obviously everyone should be doing their due diligence but there are great skilled upstanding Med Spas out there if you look!

I am going through the dry flakey stage right now but cannot wait to see my results. I had done a few different skin resurfacing but never Lasers. You convinced me to go the Laser route this time!

    Great video and thank you! I just had Fraxel and V-Beam for the first time about 1 month ago. My concern was hyperpigmentation and a little redness. The derm didn't do under my eyes and I was hoping he would after what you've said. On my cheeks, the 3rd pass of Fraxel was unbearable, I think they didn't use enough numbing cream there. My results were ok, but not a lot of difference. I'm almost 64.

    I'm a man, and I went to my local dermatologist for persistent redness, and ended up signing up for three IPL treatments. On the last one, (Friday), the dermatologist gave me a burn that by time I got home was blistered and weeping. On Monday I went back over there very concerned. She came out and said well she must have went over the same spot too many times. If you've never had an IPL session before, they don't keep the "gun" in a constant movement, it's placed against your skin on one spot and they pull the trigger and zap that spot. Then move to another spot and repeat. She gave me some steroid and anti-biotic creams, and I asked her if I was going to get a scar. She didn't think so, but I sure did get scarred. And now, a year later, I have a permanent dime sized scar on my left cheek with a blotch of redness right next to it. We depend on professionals not to do things like going over the same spot "too many times". At the same time, I also got two smaller burns on my left temple that left tiny scars, and took a long time to fade. These scars you can barely see, but the one on my left cheek is very visible. When you're dealing with the skin on somebodies face, you can not make mistakes like this. It was a bad experience for me, and I wouldn't recommend IPL to anybody.

      What a shame this happened to you. I hope you got a full refund in addition to any medical expenses for damages you incurred as a result. Google reviews are important to alert future customers as well as keeping that business in check. Fyi i’ve had IPL in the past and it turned out beautiful. As mentioned in this video experience is critical. Take care🙏

    • @dahur
      @dahur День назад

      @@mariamerriman3145 This is why they have you sign a disclaimer before the procedure. They know accidents will happen and they need to protect themselves. I signed one right before the third procedure, and he also took a bunch of pictures. I don't desire to have any contact her (her title is Nurse Practitioner). I discovered myself the solution for my redness and blotchiness I was going through. It's Niacinamide 5%....it's been a miracle for me, too bad I discovered it too late to prevent my scarring.

    Your video is great, very informative. I very much appreciated the effort you put together to make this video. I am 46 this year. Overall my skin texture is great, no acne slightly freckles from sun damage that is my biggest issue. Though the freckles itself not so much but it’s pretty annoying (as you can imagine)
    Can I use Laser CO2 on my face as well as décolleté area for rejuvenate as well as improving my skin texture from acne scaring. I hope you can answer my questions... thank you so much xx

    What do you think of the Harmony XL Pro - seems to be marketed as a jack of all trades laser. Is it any good for sunspots?

    How do you feel about Moxi Lazers? Thanks for all of your knowledge!

    Would doing quarterly clear and brilliant treatments be equivalent to seeing results from 1 fraxel a year or would you have to do 4 clear and brilliant treatments closer in succession ie every 4 week to 6 weeks?
    I am thinking about doing fraxel but I am East Asian and as you said in the video there can be risk of hyperpigmentation. Should I just stick with getting clear and brilliant? Thank you!

    I want to love lasers, but my only experience was with a fraxel laser, and I don’t know if it was the user that was the issue.. or what but my skin ended up with a horrible orange peel texture.. I regretted it! It also made me lose some fat in some area. It took 3 years and peels to try and fix it. I really want to use lasers but maybe I just went to the wrong place, but now I’m paranoid.

    Thank you for such a detailed explanation of lasers. I am dealing with acne (mostly scars but some new breakouts still are coming out every month). I went to a laser clinic in the UK and was advised to use a Regenlite (N-Lite) laser to deal with active spots before we move on to scars (3 sessions, one month apart each). I didn't see you mentioning this laser in the video, and I'd like to know if it's okay or should I run away? #askthedoc

    I wish I lived near you so I could come to you. I don't know of many specialized laser operators.

    I’ve had great results with Pico and V-Beam (and, it’s reasonably priced). I also tried Scarlet, and it was a complete waste of money.

    #askthedoc Hi, firstly thank you for your raw and real content ❤ I'm live in Australia 🇦🇺... I have suffered melasma and or pigmentation from a previous ablative laser Tx. Id like to try Pico for these and my freckles also but wondered about Laser Gen and Excel V and Limelight, also for my skin. I'm probably a low Fitzpat 4 due to olive genetics from my swedish ancestory. Thanks so much. ❤
