nice game , thank you guys to give us this entertaiment in this times, stay healthy , i hope i could visit you after this times . greedings from austria
In your hero phase, each SLANN or ORACLE can choose to forego one of his spellcasting attempts to give you D3 Celestial Conjuration points each time. So Skink Oracle on Troglodon has one less D3. Saurus Astrolith Bearer can do it,It allows any Seraphon wholly within 12" to ignore wounds or mortal wounds on a roll of 6.
Great game guys, I love Seraphon and have been playing around with some Coalesced and Starbourne lists the last couple of weeks. Steve, the only real mistake you made with your coalesced is bringing the Slann, he doesn't belong. You need a Saurus general and limit your skinks to a Starpreist/seer and the Trog. If you're interested at any point I'd love to chat lists and I have a couple you could test run. Awesome stuff as always fellas, I'm off to the vault now to watch the next game
If you see this I'm starting to get into aos I've had some models I want a good star borne fang of sites I have 20x skinks a troglodon with oracle, and then saurus knight and warriors I wish I would have bought the skink start collecting.
Steve, while you have a 1+ characteristic, it is always a 2+ to save regardless of rend. This is because you cannot modify below a 1, and only unmodified 1s auto-fail. So a rend of -2 or greater will modify rolls to a 1, which still pass. I believe this is in the seraphon FAQ?
I was listening to the first combat and re-wound and watched just to be sure--steve did roll a 1 anyway. Haven't watched the rest yet, but shouldn't matter from here on out since it took enough wounds to bracket out of the 1+ save. But, he did forget the 6+ ignore wounds provided by the astrolith bearer. Edit: He caught the mistake :D GJ steve :P
here if dice isn't completely flat on board it's cocked and rerolled. that last priorty roll was so much over terrain it would have been 100% cocked here
Gonna start gitz as my first army I think. You have any recommendations for a beginner friendly list? Maybe just stick with Squigs and grots to start? Also Is there any love for Squig gobbas out there?
All of it is awesome but I’d say in addition to the basic gobbo troops & Hq the Mangler Squigs and the Squig knights are the way to go. Those units are very good.
Are Endless Spells allowed to just make loops and count as "moving" like that? I vaguely remember GW saying something along the lines of "no" about a similar thing in 40K because the start and end points of the move were the same spot so it didn't count as actually moving, but that was years ago and I don't even remember what it was about. Might have been Jink saves?
good game awesome Battle report thanks. in the future when this pandemic thing calm down could you do an aos siege or a thriumph and treachery battle report please
Was it different before GHB2020? Seems the players were considering gloomspite reinforcements as battleline when new units added aren't(at least now) battleline.
Matthew, if you want to spend those last 40 points and if you have the model I would recommend bringing a Loonboss on Mangler Squigs instead of the base version. I believe he's exactly 40 points more expensive and has a great command ability.
Suggestion for Steve to get to know his Seraphon better, load up on the best type of units you can. 3 units of 3 salamanders, or 3 units of 3 terradons + skink chief, always take kroak over slann, and focus skinks into a large unit (40) with 2 small 10 man units for tax.. That's what I'm betting will be brought to most tournaments, as many of the best units as possible instead of spreading the army out in smaller units of everything.
Matt in the beginning: "you might be saying just bring an endless spell" Steve: *Oh I plan to* Side note - the endless spells are garbage and boring. I get that this is a reupload but the most recent seraphon game in the vault was obnoxious. And the stormcast game. Ugh. Enough of the endless spells.
i personally find the seraphon endless spells to be their coolest part and integral to the seraphon's unique playstyle that shifts them back towards their 8th edition feel of being a good caster army. it's the only thing that so far has actually made me consider getting into age of sigmar.
Stuff I hate about AOS: The overall meta Lore (it's really stupid), Double turns, the whole playing for objectives scenarios, terrain types, the turning to bigger and bigger models (though it's a love/hate). Too Slow rolling out models (There are units in the game that doesn't have figures so you have to convert and while fun, it's expensive and stupid) Stuff I love about AOS: The skirmish movement system, (the game is often won in combat... unless this stupid objectives or double turn rules apply) "New models", big center pieces to paint... some "lore" about a few armies: Gloomspite gitz and Flesh eater courts... that's it!
I don't get the scoring system in warhammer these days... greenskins pretty obviously lost the battle, but they won because they went first... woo hoo? How does that make any sense? Narrative would go grots charged in to get some imaginary advantage points and suicide and die. Then they lost any chance of moving forward in a campaign because their leadership and magic users were wiped out, and yet they gloriously won the battle. Makes sense.
Objectives have been a thing since forever, which sometimes allows for this kinda thing to happen. This particular battleplan seem kinda shitty tho tbh, way too difficult to catch up if someone has held an objective a long time.
Ok...so I get it, you guys don’t like the double turn...but as a consumer of your content I don’t appreciate hearing about it at length when you mock the game system you are supposed to be presenting and enjoying. New people to AOS watch your battle reports, and the negativity may turn them away. It part of the game, you made a video of your opinions, can we leave it at that?
Matthew: "And he's going to cough on you. Apparently in this day and age it's terrifying."
Steve faintly: "s t o p"
My sides have been destroyed.
Timestamp?! Can't believe I missed this xD
I liked the energy of this game. The guys were so friendly, it made for a nice atmosphere
steve needs to remember that he can swap out spells on his slann, he could take the horde killing spell and this would be much easier
Yep. Stellar tempest. 5+ for each model in unit is a mortal wound. Lots of mistakes and bad choices in this one.
Ah, the deep motivations of the goblins!
Get outta mah swamp
LOOK DA MOON! GOGOGO
nice game , thank you guys to give us this entertaiment in this times, stay healthy , i hope i could visit you after this times . greedings from austria
I do really appreciate that Steve takes the time to slow down and enunciate sometimes, he seems like a chill dude.
Matts whispering at 47:14 had me rolling haha
ah crap I just realized I did a dice pun on accident, sorry
nice pun
25:02 the Astrolith Bearer would have allowed for a 6+ feel no pain on all of those mortal wounds.

But Slann are so cool/thematic...
If you see this I'm starting to get into aos I've had some models I want a good star borne fang of sites I have 20x skinks a troglodon with oracle, and then saurus knight and warriors I wish I would have bought the skink start collecting.
luv the mood in your video's guys, good fun during does hard times. thx and keep it up!

PezzaTheFlezza it’s right

Came to say this. And yes it was in the FAQ/commentary
Man I hate that FAQ answer. Such a weird interaction.
@@Blight02 sure is... where do they come up with this shit. nothing but arguments
Mr. Mountain! Keep rocking that beard!
I love watching these two play so much. Always rooting for Steve to not roll like doody haha
warhammer in a nutshell: *armies exist* "And they fought".
This is the shittiest thing I have read in a while
it is warhammer
The Colossal Squig did stuff!!!
Luka has been slimming down quite a bit. If it is by choice and not a medical condition, then good for him.
Who makes that lovely swamp mat they're using?
here if dice isn't completely flat on board it's cocked and rerolled. that last priorty roll was so much over terrain it would have been 100% cocked here

Great water. Is there a mirror below the resin/acrylic... or what product is the water?
Oh my god that goblin at 1:06 ahhahaha that was so funny xd
7+ is a 58% chance. i did the math for it when i was crunching the numbers on tzeentch's fire storm and how relatively poorly i do when rolling it.
What range to those melee attacks have? Everyone was hitting stuff like 3” away!
2 inch, steve is cheating as per usual
Is troglodon is more powerful than carnosaur
Evening off the audio levels would have made this a more enjoyable watch.
a buddy who plays goblins definitely should learn to roll saves
Why don't I see a single video of you guys playing with The Legion of Azgorh. Not even in the Vault?
good game awesome Battle report thanks.
in the future when this pandemic thing calm down could you do an aos siege or a thriumph and treachery battle report please
Best story intro!
Haha. "They like mushrooms."
Is this with the new seraphon book
Was it different before GHB2020? Seems the players were considering gloomspite reinforcements as battleline when new units added aren't(at least now) battleline.
Just me or is Steve looking slimmer? a good look
I noticed this too. Good for him - he's looking great.
Luca is slowly morphing into Ted Cruze. I also need a hair cut.
Tome would be perfectly balanced and fun, strong even, if salamanders werent a thing 🔥
Matthew, if you want to spend those last 40 points and if you have the model I would recommend bringing a Loonboss on Mangler Squigs instead of the base version. I believe he's exactly 40 points more expensive and has a great command ability.
How did you get the giant squig?!?!
Its a resin model available at Forge World
How keep alive a 7w slaan vs shooty list?
I'd say Saurus Guard to pass wounds and maybe Prismatic Palasade
Saurus Guard as ablative wounds, screen well and Itxi Geubs is a great choice artefact as it heals a wound per turn.
I'am a Brazilian,and ask, please,add legends on your videos
Very nice Battelreport
Gitz, just... Gitz
awesome!!
Subtitles please! I enjoy a lot your videos! Greetings from Mexico.

He plays what he want and not what is powerful. That's the point there
He literally talked about how to run seraphon the best way possible via tournaments in the first 2-3 minutes...
He literally stopped using his old list because it was too good and not fun playing against/with. These games are just for fun, stop sweating.
Lizard man are my favorite because they are good guys and they are color is also my favorite blue
Matt in the beginning: "you might be saying just bring an endless spell"

YESSSS, IT'S DA BOYZ
im new to aos but it seems that the seraphon are way more powerful than the gitz
But they lost?
Gitz Gud

You will never feel the power of Seraphon with lists like this, this kind of list is very VERY sub-optimal
matt sounds surpriced his mangler only killed 6 skinks and he complains alot on dices dude!
This looks hard to remember which models have moved and attacked
Fantasy is wayyyyy better
Not really.
if you like falling asleep sure...
If you can't handle a game as simple as AoS there is no way you played Fantasy
Fantasy is a lovely game, but ease of play is not among its merits
So much better they had to cancel it...because people couldn't handle all the fun...
