In late 2011 Combichrist's Andy LaPlegua was asked to compose new music for the upcoming Ninja Theory/Capcom video game DmC Devil May Cry. While a bit of a departure from what many Combichrist fans have come to expect from Combichrist, this is the direction the game's producers wanted Andy to take. Many long hours in the studio followed and this is but a small taste of what was created. The game is released on January 14, 2013 so this will have to keep your appetite whetted until then. Enjoy!

DmC has potential. The story is pretty cool, like a mirror demon world to our own. But man, the script NEEDS some work big time. And I wish the demons and bosses will look more menacing and intimidating next time and not too gross. Hope to see a cool devil trigger 2
Pretty much this. The story was pretty mediocre. Though the combat is good for a hack and slash game, just not as good as the other DMC games.
I loved the new approach to the play-style in DmC compared to DMC. Felt nice to be able to switch weapons so easy lol
NinjaNick96 I don't like how certain enemies are only vulnerable to certain weapons though. Takes away the freedom factor that made DMC so great.
In many ways, Metal Gear Rising represents what DmC would have been had it lived up to its potential, gameplay wise.
Rynnec Zuhac I agree on that part. I think it certain aspects of DmC were a lot more smooth, but over all DMC was better. If they made a DMC game incorporating certain aspects from DmC, they could make a very solid game. I agree the whole needing certain weapons to kill certain enemies was kind of annoying at times.

MGR is a borefest. I guess MGR was really an NG game with the MG label, not DMC as what many DMC fans claim... -_-
Say whatever you like: besides the forced character evolution of Dante and the not-so-deep plot, this game was pretty solid. It's extremely fun to play, challenging if you want to, and creative. You already know about the soundtrack.

Nobody even talks about this game anymore. But everybody will remember every DMC to come before it. Even 2.

Didn't realize they had new stuff that sounded like this. I definitely will not be in a hurry to listen to it then. So glad I got to see them 3 times before they sounded like this. I will always have the old stuff thankfully.

The new Dante looks Emo..but STFU.The voice acting is the best ever for any DMC game ever made..and the script and story is good enough for a DMC game...dont say the story was a strong point in a DMC game..story was never a strong point for a DMC game... (like Bioshock or anythin) but the main part is how enjoyable the game was..and the badass action! .

Yep,pretty bad ass action,indeed.
But the game,although having some pros,it also has its cons.
Like the "color-coded" enemies.
While it may give you challenge,it runs the risk of limiting your freedom in doing combos.
The Devil Trigger is not the best at all,it didn't give challenge to the gameplay,it's just demons floating in the air like bitches.
(Thank God they addressed that in the Definitive Edition)

This is different from usual Combitchrist. Yet on the same level it just kicks ass.
the lead singer was originally from a norwegian punk rock band and he's been experimenting with different genres for years. he recently started a psychobilly/rockabilly band. I'd say this kind of music is right up his alley.

I am dying for this game to come out. I personally adore this Dante and love his character and how he holds himself. I played the demo and it is so much fun and a challenge personally. I can't wait C: Dante 2013!

Well, I'm a fan of Combichrist and I about squeeled when I saw "music by Combichrist" appear on my screen today. It's different, but it's good. I love it.

The first time I saw the Tokyo trailer of this game I thought that this new Dante is gonna be amazing but what surprised me the most was this
glad to know that the vast majority of the game is amped up by this kinda music, but then the boss fights arrive and...nothin but wubs, the adrenaline just dies down

Here's the thing on DmC: its characters became more fleshed out and being tragic figures than anime stereotypes.
Plays great on PC. Bought it today, been playing all day.
Sucks we're probably not getting another one of these. I really loved this game, sure maybe not as much as 3 but it was still a lot of fun.

andy does a whole range of music types, he recently put out a horror punk/ psychobilly album, and before he was with combichrist he was the lead singer of a hardcore punk band. This kind of music is right up his alley.

DmC is now my favorite game in the whole seires. I cannot wait to see how Ninja Theory and Capcom continue the new series. The music of Combichrist and Noisia fit the game really well. Its a perfect 10/10 for me. :)

After having lost much interest in the DMC series for the same reasons DerpinPON3 mentioned the series brings me back in for the music. Being a huge Combichrist fan I was intrigued... after playing the demo last month I have to get.
Not the only one. But one out of a few of us. (myself included)

honestly, I'm surprised at how good of a game ninja theory brought to us despite all the HATE they received from fans during the production. I mean people were going crazy about the reboot thing and their game was hated by fans from long before its release. Despite all that, they worked their asses off to bring us a friggin awesome game. I say that as someone who's played every DMC before this one.

As the description reads, they only did it this way because that's how the DmC devs wanted it to be.
I was thinking "when is this in the game?" Then the guitar started playing and I thought " oh it the theme for all non-boss battles"
I was biased about the game, but always wanted to try it and now that I have I will say its a good reboot :)
