Yes. I quietly had the spicy version with onion rings back in mid July. It was decent. The sandwich has been out since at least June. The commercial with the lady and the psychiatrist he been running for months. Did Popeyes relaunch the sandwich in August? It seemed like everyone woke up at the same time and realized Popeyes had a chicken sandwich

Maybe it was first launched a couple months ago to a few test area’s and was launched nationwide August 12. That’s the only thing I can think of... if that’s not the case then I’m confused as hell.

Folks, it's a marketing strategy. If I owned a restaurant, I would do the same thing. Whenever I'd introduce a new food item, I'd make sure not to have more than 15 of them. That way I could tell people, "Sorry folks, we sold out already. They sold like hotcakes!" Everybody will be anxious to try them after I put the word out.

The long lines and high demand was causing all of us to overwork, do overtime and weren’t allowed to take breaks. As a current Popeyes employee, I can say that we ran out of the chicken sandwich because we ran out of the buns. It has nothing to do with the flower the chicken is breaded in or the chicken piece itself. It is simply the buns. A confirmed release date for the chicken sandwich will be 1 October.

Popeyes cannot handle The Original Chicken Sandwich - #Chickfila. Popeys sold out their entire inventory in less than a month. #Chickfila sells way more than that while only open 6 days per week.

Had both spicy sandwiches. Both great, but honestly if you're a fan of spicy, chick-fil-a's is waaaay spicier. In fact, i usually put some chick-fil-a sauce on it just to cool it down a notch.
