    What I would like added to the game is ambient sounds, like customers chatting, fridge doors closing, bottles clinking etc. Would also be great if customers put items back on the shelves, but in the wrong places so that we have to tidy up each morning.

      I agree with others but tidying up the morning will become very annoying after 2-3 times.

    profit margin has a lot of different metrics, usually the cheaper the product the more of them you sell (usually but not always) an average shopper will buy 1 bag of TP but they will buy a dozen bottles of beer (irl shoppers, this game has people buying TP like its the start of a certain event that begins with Cov and ends with Id ;) but another thing to keep in mind is the number of items per box and how much storage space they take on the shelves. so TP you get 4 per box, if you are making $5 profit on each one thats $20 profit per box, each box takes up 1 shelf in storage etc.... whereas a cheaper item makes less per unit but you can store way more units in the back. But in this game that isnt as important, it does add a bit of work for ordering and stocking but thats not much. I like this game because it does make people think about retail in a way the average shopper doesnt have to normally :) Loving the series and I hope you can continue

      Great explanation. The calculation I would stick to is profit by shelf. TP stores 2 so if you make $5 per item it's $10 per shelf. Soda if you make $1 per item and the shelf holds 12 then that is $12 per shelf. The only problem is that the turnover of items is out of whack, as you explained with your TP Cov Id point.

    FYI, what you're referring to is called OCPD. That's the perfectionism thing. OCD is where you have compulsions to do unusual things (like washing your hands or counting as you do things) in order to prevent some kind of imagined tragedy.

    You should actually be happy when you have a customer who only purchases 1 item. The reason is that you tick up a sale, and it takes half a second! Efficiency!

    If the walls had a deeper, more rich red, the color combo would be amazing, honestly.
    But in the idea of licenses. An idea could be to just set up the store with everything and model it how you want for the end of the season.

    I think the red/black works because of the shade of red. It’s sort of a raspberry color verses a bright fire red. Atleast for me it is. 😂

    simple math, I buy something for $5, sell for $7. I can buy 20 of those items and make $40 on that $100. If I buy an item for $10 and sell for $12, it's the same $2 profit margin but you get $12 instead of $7. However you can only buy 10 items for $10, meaning you only make $20 on that same $100. This is why percentages are more important. Your dollar goes further.

    Haha... I have the same arrangement with the spiders here. They can walk wherever they want and do whatever they want as long as they don't walk on Daddy. Then they must die. 😆

      My son screams when he sees one so I have to get it for him 😂 (he’s 9) and if one is anywhere besides the kids rooms, the cats will find it and kill it. I’d like to give them a chance but our house doesn’t make that possible lol

    Deciphering how much a particular product is going to make you over time is a bit more complicated than just figuring out how much profit (the difference between your retail price and the cost price of said product) each individual product brings in. As someone else as pointed out, there's turnover/velocity (how much product you can shift in a given timeframe), shelf space taken over by each product (4 toilet paper packages bringing a profit of $5 each is less than 12 bleach bottles bringing in $2 each, for instance), and in real-world scenarios, inventory holding costs. This is where theorycrafting can come in if you really want to min-max your profits. Think about it in 7DTD terms; profit is like DPS. Just because a particular weapon does more damage per hit, that doesn't make its DPS the highest - its attack speed is important too. And so is its stamina cost per attack. A high-damage, high-attack-speed weapon might still have lower overall DPS because it uses way too much stamina and you have to wait to recover your stamina before attacking again. Of course, in your case, you just switch to guns at that point but the point remains.

    Love your videos kage especially this series have learned alot and you give alot of good ideas to try only thing is when i play this game i have to buy all the licences mainly because where its supermarket sim i wanna make a fantastic supermarket for people to buy everything they need it does cause a headache only being able to order 10 items a time but i guess where i work in a shop it probs dosnt bother me as much as its summit i do on a daily with deliveries and dealing with stock but i find the more their is to do the better and more fun the game is for me

    The percentage is between the "Market value and Your Cost" and that makes the Profit, the Sum of your percentage.

  • @user-li4qj5ke8i
    @user-li4qj5ke8i 2 месяца назад

    Cost - Market value = Percentage. Percentage + Market value = Profit Margin, that you would be looking for using a percentage rate.

      If you mean how he just puts one or two of each item on the shelf he intends to fill with a product, it's so the shelves get tagged with that product - as long as they're tagged, the stockers will proceed to fill the shelves for him with any stock left in the back until full, so he doesn't have to. He's just trying to save himself some time 😅 I do get that it looks awful at first, but it's really just so he doesn't have to fill out every single shelf all by himself and keep going back for stock
