I would say lee Evan's for stand up but overall comedy I would say Ricky Gervais cause his stand up is really funny even know he's one of those ones you either find him hillarious or you don't get his sense of humour but I would say the best stand up lee Evan's for a british comedian but overall as a comedian Ricky Gervais I like everything he's ever done I love the office extras afterlife an idiot abroad the Ricky Gervais show and even though a lot people didn't like it I also enjoyed Derek and the films he's done aswell ghostown the invention of lying and special corrispondiants are also very good in my opinion so for stand up lee Evan's overall comedic talent I'd say Gervais because he does it all he's a great writer and a very good stand up comedian I can't understand how people don't get his comedy he's a comedy legend and he'll say exactly what he thinks no matter who he upsets and I love it the golden globes speaks was absolute gold

the thing i like about Lee Evans comedy is that his jokes aren't short enough to be counted as one liners but they're just the right size so he doesn't take too long telling one joke. it's his own unique style unlike Jim Carey who, although funny, there has been plenty of comedians in the past that use that similar style.
Why is everyone complaining abouthim doing his old material? It's his best, i remember seeing the drum intro on The Live In Scotland DVD and it's great. His old stuff is his best, Live In Scotland was his best DVD by far.
His common accent makes that directions joke much funnier than when he did it in Welsh. I like his posh accent i.e "it's an early 18th century piece" antiques roadshow jokes etc... I also love his "welcome to what the fuck have I done" voice, as well as his "please put your first item on the scanner" self-checkout voice....but not the Welsh one. He does the Welsh accent very accurately, I just don't find it funny like I do with all his others.

Some from XL in 05 as well, most comedians have a routine based around jokes they've made before so they have something for events, at least he tells them in different ways to give them a new feeling.
Gawd bless him,he's such a funny,funny man but he seemed to genuinely want to be a part of something which helps a fantastic institution such as Great Ormond Street Hospital as opposed to so many other celebrities who clearly just want to keep their profile up.
