When Lee talked about his wife on a talk show, you can sense the immense love he has for her. Apparently they met when they were both 17 years old, and he has been married to her since 1984 - now that is some marriage.
Exactly he is never disrespectful to his wife even when he makes jokes including her. He has never been a jerk for laughs. I watched a small part of Kevin Hart doing stand up and I couldn't believe how sexist and disrespectful his jokes were about women, it put me off him after that 😔

I love his comments about his wife because you can actually tell there's a lot of love and affection behind it - the teasing and tics of any good long term relationship only make it all the funnier.

I’ve seen him live twice and i was in stitches on both occasions. I understand and respect the reason why he retired from standup (to spend more time with his family) but if he ever comes back to the stage, I’ll be on those tickets like lightning

@@mindscaped4099 it was his agent who died. He was in his early 50’s. Lee retired not long afterwards. I’ve seen Lee several times too and I agree if he ever made a comeback, I’d love to see him again. Brilliant comedian.

That was a huge check on lifes bucket list next to hans zimmer which was also struck in march last year in manchester 🙂
