this guy got me through my depression. in all seriousness. I used to watch him, almost the whole day, just so i can laugh and forget about all the stuff in my brain. im really grateful to him.
Holy Cow, I was just thinking the same thing! Watching him is therapeutic for my depression like no other comedian. Maybe his unrelenting energy and pace forces my brain to "hurry up" a bit to keep up, resulting in a kick start to better synaptic function. I believe in Ackle Ackinckacker!

This man literally brightens up my days during the darkest times.

As a dentist his wisdom tooth story is hilaaaaarious 😂😂😂 I always cry laughing when watching it! This men is a legend 😂
I've been to he dentist a lot (I have those soft Irish teeth) and maybe it's all those times in the chair, leaking blood and trying to make yourself understood around all the stuff in your mouth and your numb face that makes this so incredibly funny. When you've been there it makes it too hilarious to bear.

My roommate extracted one of my wisdom teeth. She was a dental assistant in the RAF and wanted to retrain as a dental hygienist so she persuaded the dentist and me to let her extract it. It was fine but she climbed on top of the chair with the extraction device in order to achieve it.

He is fantastic, but the are others such as Eddie Izzard. Watching Eddie Izzard was the best laugh I've had in years. Michael McIntyre gave me that kind of laugh again

I am very glad to have found this wonderful comedic genius. No sex, violence or cruelty, just good, clean fun...I am dry humored and do not find most comedians funny, he makes me laugh until my ribs hurt..He is great at lifting any sad or depressing moments..Healing without medicine...

I love how he tries to do animal impressions and ends up basically screaming like a crazy man in front of members of the royal family but it's the most entertainment you could ask for

Note to self: Don't watch the news, watch McIntyre twice instead. Eliminate the "depressing" and double the high.

@X R Same! I don’t follow the news or the media. I never did because when I was a kid in Sunday school they told me god was merciful, but also he asked this guy to murder his son. Then when I tried to argue with the Sunday school teacher she told me I needed to be quiet because I was disrupting the class. That’s when I stopped listening to all forms of media 😂
I used to get such flack for it growing up too. Adults would try to run an “intervention”. Now that I’m older and I can do my own research properly, my opinions are my own, and I’m so glad I was a stubborn kid.

The dentist story made me laugh so hard it became hysterical. You know, one of those crazy kinds of laughs. Then I ended up crying and was just going back and forth and it's so difficult to stop. Now I'm sitting here looking like a mess, but boy did I need that.

I’m glad I wasn’t watching it live because I’m pretty sure they would have put me in one of those jackets that tie up at the back and put me in a lovely comfy padded room, had anyone seen me during that! I love this guy 🤣🤣
That dentist part is definitely his longest one, and it doesn’t disappoint!

I heard a noise once in the night, I woke my husband and said “I can hear a noise down stairs” he said “ go and have a look, if you have any trouble give me a shout” !

Omg the water tap was so relatable!! 😂😂 one time I wanted to use the hand dryer at a venue and I thought it was automatic, I kept waving my hand and I struggled for a while then I realized I needed to press the button for it to work lol the bathroom was crowded and everyone was looking at me, it was so embarrassing! Brilliant! Have watched the same routines over and over and it's just as funny everytime. Bless him for cheering us up and for doing it without bringing politics into it...just good old-fashioned comedy.
I have actually watched this twice now and will probably watch it many more times. I absolutely laugh to hard that my body is having laughter spasms, tears are rolling down my face uncontrollably and I couldn't form words if I wanted to. Unfortunately I had downloaded this and was listening to it on part of a nine hour mountainous drive in the dark. I think I almost died of laughter. What a way to go. He's fantastic!
I can so relate to the hospital gown story, as I asked the nurse the same thing when I had neck surgery. Why do I have to take my underwear off for neck surgery? I was told, "In case your underwear falls off during surgery." Um what? My underwear doesn't have a habit of falling off when I'm standing, much less lying down. They really need to work on their answer for that question.

@Eoghan Bannon-Wright My wife is a retired theatre Sister. She says it is not uncommon, under general anaesthesia, for a patient to lose control of the bowel and the open-gown-no-underwear is to clean up easier if this happens.

He is very very good. His book is an absolute hoot too btw. He taught himself comedy the hard way doing tiny standup venues and apparently didn't get any /many laughs for years. I think he may have been humble exaggerating a bit there
