My comment was only to point out that the correct height of the Burj Al Arab is 1,053 feet and not 10,000 feet. 10,000 feet is almost 2 miles and is ten times higher than the actual height the helicopter landed the Vanquish on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab .
I have a DBS lightning silver manual and have had it since new. It is the last of the manuals and I would not trade it. Aston Martins are without doubt in my humble opinion the most stylish and sophisticated car you can buy.
The other part of the "dirty little secret about the V12 engine" you left out is the block is actually from Jaguar design. The heads and management systems are different but the roots of the engine come from the 5.3 litre found in Series 3 E-types and XJ12 Saloons.

I LOVE Aston more than any other car brand. The only competitor model that I might have chosen over an Aston (in my fantasy/lottery winning world) would be the Maserati GranTurismo/GranCabrio. Better performance, stunning looks that are at least as gorgeous as the DB9 and a starting price about $90K lower. Other than the Maser, it's all Aston, all the time :D

I have a limited edition N420 Vantage, no. 134 of only 420, feel very privileged, great drive, best car I have!! Have looked at DB11 and new Vantage, much prefer the Older styling.
Vanquish,it must be more expensive and better than previous model,here in Singapore it cost 600k plus,don't know whether it is expensive by other country standard cuz u know Singapore is known to have very high car prices.

Yes I would love a Aston Martin. I had been joking about it with my Lady when she was in Hospital. (Fragile diabetic. 12 hospital stays in 2 years) I had said we would still be going to hospital and Doctors quite often, but it would be a more enjoyable experience.

Jaguar bought over by TATA Group. Some parts are supplied by Volvo Cars. Engines mostly by Ford designs.
