God I love Kramer. 1. Tells her she's pretty but bluntly mentions her flaw. 2. Admits the procedure was botched but accompanies her to her doctor for support. One of his more balanced moments.
No, it wasn't balanced what he did: in both cases he was unusually blunt for society's standards. What made the difference was him staying and supporting what his bluntness pointed it out. He talked the talk and walked the walk.

@@Linda-in9ns Smiles and ~~~Waves~~~ Got the day off and taking my Bulldog Jack Boy to the Park by the bottom of the hour! I'm telling you Linda...The Kavorka in Kramer can not be silenced! 🤣 Cheers

Jerry: Great Job Elaine: It looks good Kramer: You got butchered! 😂😂 That's my man 🙌🏻 You gotta tell the truth when it's necessary instead of being gutless
One of my fave episodes! I can definitely be petty about many things, so in this episode, I can relate to George 🤣 And Kramer was absolutely fantastic here.
Fun Fact: The Nose Job is the first episode where Kramer uses the alias Dr. Martin Van Nostrand. Kramer's alter-ego also appears in "The Pilot" (season 4) "The Package" (season 8) and "The Slicer" (season 9). At the 3:12 mark, George mentions he's from Long Island. However, in subsequent episodes he is said to have grown up in his parents' home in Queens.
Both Brooklyn (Kings County) and Queens (Queens County) are physically on "Long Island" although most people think of "Long Island" to only include Nassau and Suffix counties.
George was probably just foreshadowing about the days when he'd eventually buy a place in the Hamptons..... Although he's not incorrect in saying he's from Long Island, most New Yorkers would probably get right to the point and say they're from Queens.
George and Jerry trying to hold in their laughter after Kramer says she needs a nose job tells me this was either improvised or his delivery of the line caught them off guard.
I’m all about Elaine right here. This is one my favorite Seinfeld moments. Everyone played to their character PERFECTLY. And Julia has to take the cake right here. It’s classic Elaine and with the eyes back and forth and the utter shock. Man she was amazing !
True, this felt like a very natural and relatable episode, because we've all thought things like this "Wow, they'd be really pretty if they got XYZ done"...the sad thing is we compare ourselves to people to whom nature did not create and expect to look like them.
Something about the fact that they're all just sitting around innocuously munching pizza (sans Kramer) makes the scene that much more hilarious (and relatable / realistic) looool
my grampa used to say, "dont pick your schnoze." little kids pick their noses, lol, and i remember one time, he had company, and they were on the porch gabbing. grampa was picking his schnoze?? i was about 5 years old, and took the shot. I've seen pics of celebrities immediately after plastic surgery, it usually looks like they just lost a fight to a pro boxer lol. Takes a little while for everything to heal and settle down. Really makes it seem appealing.
This might be the most "Larry David" episode ever. I knew from the first frame that George would F himself, but the journey to said F-age was incredible! I love that we never even see what a disaster her nose job was, because it didn't matter at all!
So was this an actress that happened to have a large nose or did they do a prosthetic nose for the show? On the close ups, it looks like it might be fake. It's also amazing how much the nose defines our face. Look at Jennifer Anniston and Jennifer Grey. Anniston had it before she was really famous, so no one cared, but Jennifer Grey had one after she was super recognizable, and while IMO, it did make her more attractive, she was unrecognizable, and her career never recovered, which was always odd. It wasn't her face that made her great in her movies, it was her acting. So what if she look different.
It's true she did look so much better with the nose job, but she looks so different that no one recognized her and destroyed her career. Even to this day she regrets getting it.

@Crime_scoper-X I was 50 50 on whether it was real or not. They could have just put a casting call for a girl with a large nose. But this is hollywood so everything must be fake lol
It's so funny i found this women one of the most beautiful ones after she revealed her real face, that fake nose was so visible 😂😂😂😂 Seinfeld is that one series where i find the most attractive women, all of em were beautiful
Yeah I was thinking that myself...plus wouldn't it be a while for the swelling to go down to see what the nose is going to look like? Never have facial surgery(not that I'm a stunner) so don't know.
@@mattm77981 week post-op, the doctor removes the external and internal bandages and the nose is very swollen afterward.
