      Ah thanks!!! I keep meaning to check how it's going. I'm really pleased you're still enjoying yours. I think Bongo owners are the nicest people to work with :) Say hi to Sol for me and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 👍

    Have really enjoyed watching your videos! Learnt a lot, looking to buy a Bongo for the family!!! Viewing a couple this week! Apart from the rust issue! What’s the next things you should check when considering buying one? Plus!!! I need seats with an ISOFIX!!!! That possible?!?!;)

    • @VantasticIdeas
      @VantasticIdeas  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching my videos :)
      Check the reg online for past MOT failures and make sure they've been addressed.
      Check that cam belt has been done (should be every 4 years or 40,000 miles).
      Test drive and listen for weird noises and knocks and that temp gauge works and there's no overheating issues. Check coolant pipes underneath for corrosion. Look for any drips and leaks of coolant or oil.
      ISOFIX I've no idea about, best to ask a Facebook group about that.
      I would ask any of the Facebook groups for a good checklist as they will no doubt give you some good ideas to check.
      If you are able to take someone who knows Bongos or can get checked over at a Bongo specialist garage then that would be the best course of action. These are near classic vehicles now, so there's always going to be something that can catch you out.
      Good luck!!

    Hi Ian, fantastic conversion! As you are a certified bongo bed baron, I thought I'd ask if you knew the dimensions of the rear seats? Specifically the width, height from floor-to-hinge-mechanism and the distance between the legs. I'm trying to fit one in an NV200 which is a narrow little van.

    I notice you've never shown the drain hole in sink. Was waiting for see that. As it's not designed for one. So imagine it must stand proud of bottom & not recessed like standard sink.

    • @VantasticIdeas
      @VantasticIdeas  11 месяцев назад

      Sorry for delay!! It is slightly proud of the bottom but It’s hardly anything as the drain outlet wasn’t particularly thick material. On my other build I made a jig to inset the drain outlet but I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle this time. Cheers 👍

    hi what was the size of the bed ,and also the cabinet where dicky seat is do you think it possible to put basic toilet instead thanks sam

    • @VantasticIdeas
      @VantasticIdeas  10 месяцев назад

      Hi, sorry for the delay!! I've got a video called dimensions where I measure a lot of things. The bed is shorter on the kitchen side of things at about 170cm but the other side near sliding door can go all the way to the passenger seat if you wanted.
      Are you saying a toilet in place of the little seat? if so then I've seen people do that so it must be possible, but I don't know how useable that would be?

    • @samfletcher222
      @samfletcher222 10 месяцев назад

      hi thanks for reply the sizing would be ok for me and i think a toilet is possible basic but usable as you never know ,better safe than sorry maybe even collapsable but usable the small footprint gets the cogs working some great ideas i like simple i m not really into kitchen i can hang a water bag and gravity feed dont need a sink just a bowl and pour using a funnel in a grey tank same with cooker a small portable job on table and put away all easier to stow away no furred pipes and smells or unit in way taking bed space which to me is number one a good nights kip and youll cope with the basics thanks again sam@@VantasticIdeas
