    I honestly didn't want to use the Western Star 6900 Twin Steer until I was able to unlock the AWD for it. Now that I've unlocked the AWD, the Western Star 6900 Twin Steer has been very useful for me in the Yukon level. However, I have tipped it over a lot and lost loads which make me scream out some bad words in anger and the Yukon level is extremely difficult for most of the roads are uneven Muddy terrains that take forever to get through but I have made quite a bit of progress on the Yukon level and I probably wouldn't have without my Western Star 6900 Twin Steer truck.

    • @g1g3l

      The Twinsteer is one of those trucks where it punishes you if you're too greedy with it's power. in this case, flooring it alot and or not giving enough room for turns.
      It's one of those, "don't rush and everything will be fine" trucks

    The Tayga is a great truck for every map. Amur is kind of downhill but the Tayga can reach out. Muffled CAT 745C sounds and bad horn don't make it a bad truck. It doesn't have all addons, and also Taymyr is where it feels like home for him, just like his accident place. Thanks Alexander for giving us this unstoppable truck, you didn't need to go off-road with your new engine to test its power... Over this I actually recommend the Russian tires (whatever you call it, for example: OHS, MHS, OHD) and I could say TMHS and MHS II is the greatest. The TMHS though moves slower in mud and the MHS II matches it by a little margin. This is better than the Paystar, but you can choose

    Excellent video! I do agree with most. I have not tried some of those vehicles, but I hope to try them out and see if they are as good as you say they are!
    Quick question: I have been using a lot of trucks in Yukon, and have been saving up my money for a new one since I am getting bored of the ones I have been using for a while (Tayga, Azov 5319).
    Out of these trucks, which one do you think will fit best in Yukon?
    Derry Longhorn 4520
    Pacific P12
    Freightliner 114SD
    Freightliner M916A1
    International Paystar 5070
    Ford CLT9000
    Again, thanks for making this video and I have really enjoyed watching this!

    • @DecPlays_
      @DecPlays_  3 года назад +1

      Depends on what you want to use them for. DL4520 will only use trailers. The first Yukon map is pretty muddy and wet so the P12 should be okay providing you've got the mud tires for it. Ground clearance is key for the first map. The second Yukon map has more paved areas but some dense snow. I wouldn't take the Ford anywhere to be honest, the road trucks don't really have a place in Snowrunner. The Bandit and Kolob trucks are good for Yukon

    • @austinclapp8390
      @austinclapp8390 3 года назад +3

      @@DecPlays_ Ok! Thanks man! Another RUclipsr I saw used the P12 for the second map of Yukon and it did pretty well, but he kept making fun of it the entire time saying how bad it is, but I thought it did great.
      I agree with the Ford. I put it on the lost since it and those 5 others are the only American trucks I have left to purchase from the store. I knew the Ford wasn't gonna do well, but I have a little tip for you. Use the highway trucks as mobile fuel carriers. Station them around different maps in different places and you can use them to refuel while playing. I used the Transtar for almost all of Michigan and it did surprisingly well, even getting some offroad experience. I do admit, I did have to use the winch a couple times, but other than that, just use as a mobile fuel carrier. I use them like that all the time.
      Thanks for the answer and have a lovely day!

    Mostly agree with your top list
    9. thats why my favorite Voron is the "D", does not look as cool as AE, but is the only Russian offroader, that can handle crane+flatbed+trailer which makes it most versitile
    7. the Paystar is way better: higher, mud tires and trailer+bed+trailer

    I know a few vehicles came out since this video but currently my most used trucks are: 1. Zikz 605r, 2. P12 3. Western Star TS 4. International paystar TS 5. Voron AE 4380 6. Cat 745c 7. Voron Grad 8. Ford f750 9. Yar 87 10. KRS 58 "bandit"
    I drive mostly heavy vehicles because I'm arguably the best driver in my group so recovery, refueling, repair and oversized cargo usually falls on me lol.

    • @DecPlays_

      That's a fair collection, lots of variety. How do you find the P12? I really don't have a use for it

    • @Delvien
      @Delvien 3 года назад +4

      @@DecPlays_ The P12 can fit the extra large maintenance bed and is an excellent crane truck, making it my favorite for support roles. Even though it looks top heavy it's stability is good, it's turn radius is better then the dan (which is also a good crane truck,) mud performance is acceptable, it does well on ice and has tire chains as an option. The p12s biggest flaw is the engine, it's enough to pull a trailer but it will get stuck in moderately deep mud if you do. So I don't often use it for cargo unless I want a challenge.
      It's number 2 on my list because I tend to use it a lot, rather then it being the second best heavy lol. The azov 73210 would be my recovery and support truck but it still has very significant issues with hills which the p12 doesn't have. Who knows, next update the p12 might vanish from my list entirely depending on what you can fit on the new tatras. Going to be fun seeing how well all these lists age.

    • @DecPlays_
      @DecPlays_  3 года назад +3

      Fair enough, I personally don't rate the P12 very highly. The Phase 4 update did bring a suspension upgrade for the Azov 7 though I'm yet to obtain it. From what I've see on the PTS one of the new Tatra trucks with work as a full recovery and support truck with a heavy duty knuckle crane and a rear recovery unit!

    • @Delvien
      @Delvien 3 года назад +4

      @@DecPlays_ That's absolutely fine, it's whatever works for you. For example, a lot of folks love the tayga, it's a great truck, especially in mud. I prefer the voron AE, the AE is one of the best if not the best for draging cargo over rocks, fills a roll that I personally need more then the tayga. (Still have the tayga in the garage though lol)

    I prefer the F-750 to the Yar. Fora 6X6 the Yar isn't that good in mud and snow. Also if the Yar tips over it's prone to just sliding along it's side rather then flipping back to it's wheels. A fully kitted 750 with the A rated engine and UOD II offroad tires (basically just as good as mud tires) is better offroad, faster, and carries more supplies then the Yar. The 750 is just a all around better rig.
    As for the Tayga I never really liked how it drives, plus I seem to keep bashing the fuel tank on it somehow. I prefer the Voron D. It does everything the Tayga does and handles better. And again the OHD I offroad ties are basically mud tires.
    In the game a mud tire is any tire rated with a 2.0 or higher. OHD I and UOD II both have a mud rating of 1.9. So those two offroad tires barely classifies as a offroad tire. That's why I say they are basically mud ties.

    • @DecPlays_
      @DecPlays_  3 года назад +1

      That's okay but this is for vanilla trucks.
      The Yar is perfectly fine in mud and snow for me. If you have the autonomous winch on, it doesn't matter which way it tips over as you'll always be able to recover back to wheels as long as there's something to winch from nearby.

    • @justinlynch3
      @justinlynch3 3 года назад +1

      @@DecPlays_ I see.
      With the Yar what I meant was when it's on it's side and you start winching, instead of righting itself the Yar is pretty prone to just sliding around on it's side. You will get it eventually and it doesn't always happen, but it can be one of the more annoying vehicles to right itself even with the autonomous winch.
      Overall I'd say it's the 3rd best scout. Tatarin obviously being 1st and 750 being 2nd. But yea compared to the CK1500, Hummer and such, the Yar is pretty good. And it's not the worst 6X6, I mean it's better then the Apache. lol But yea I just feel like it should be better then it is.

    I would say that Kolob 74760 is worse that 74791(i think) because it is slower in mud and much more expencive but it has more fuel and more capacity and always on Diff. lock and Awd? 74791 has Diff.lock only in Low same as Cat 745c; thats a bit sad but its your opinion after all
    Edit: just saw that I can't even buy it because I'm only level 5 which means a con to 74760
    Edit 2: Yes Azov is indeed good, but its slow 🐌🐌 and it has the Crane+Bed now.

    • @DecPlays_
      @DecPlays_  3 года назад +3

      I don't think speed should have much bearing on how good a truck it to be honest. Yes, Azov 6 isn't the quickest but it's immensely capable. If you have a quick truck that cannot get through the mud then what's the point? If you're level 5 in the game there are lots of trucks you can't buy so not really a con. With the newer DLC maps, you get a lot of experience really quickly even for just doing bridge-building missions.
      In my heavy hauler testing video, both Kolobs finished the 3 trailer pulls at the same time. The only difference between them was that the 74760 had better fuel efficiency. Hence why I think it is better. "74791 has Diff.lock only in Low same as Cat 745c" I don't follow this point? You can activate AWD no matter what gear you're in.

    • @alwaysthatvoidnah
      @alwaysthatvoidnah 3 года назад +1

      @@DecPlays_ Idk but diff lock help in mud so it should be activated in auto to be a bit faster. ok it is right that its not a game about speed but i have no more play time than an hour 15 min so speed is good. mk 38 is fast but the fuel capatcity... and speed is also a bit of :yeah lets look around and a sec later : ups i crashed

    • @DecPlays_
      @DecPlays_  3 года назад +2

      Diff lock is typically reserved for low range because the parts would be spinning too quickly to limit them to the same speed which would damage the drive of the truck. So low gear limits the top rotational speed of the components enabling the locking of the inner diff components without damaging them. You can get through mud just using AWD and not diff lock to a certain point

    • @alwaysthatvoidnah
      @alwaysthatvoidnah 3 года назад +1

      @@DecPlays_ Yes, but With diff. lock its just easier and faster

    • @DecPlays_
      @DecPlays_  3 года назад +2

      You don't tend to use one without the other. It's faster in the mud with both on because if you don't, not all of the drives will be locked to the same rotation speed and you could dig down into the mud/water
