As someone who worked way to long with a micromanager who didn't even have a clear vison of exactly what the end product, she wanted was... I feel this guy... accurate.
This short film and what it is about, is pure reality - no fiction. And even so that film is pure gold, it is a sad truth behind it. Speaking so, it makes me feel uncomfortable and angry to watch this.
Why is it that this falls into every corner of the working work? Why is there such a detachment from upper management and the tires touching the pavement?
Saw this in a large broadcasting organisation. A producer made a well thought out program, his boss (who by the way notoriously liked to reduce female inferiors to tears) insisted on changes - and again- and again- and again- until finally it ended up as it was to start with. But then, he was a Manager.
He has an Irrational Fear of Oblongs, not Rectangles mind you, just Oblongs. The term Oblong is used to refer to a non-square Rectangle. ... A Rectangle can be defined as a Parallelogram containing a Right Angle. A Rectangle with four sides of equal length is a Square. Thus an Oblong is a special case of an antiparallelogram and its angles are not Right Angles. In geometry, an antiparallelogram is a Quadrilateral having, like a Parallelogram, two opposite pairs of equal-length sides, but in which the sides of one pair cross each other. The longer of the two pairs will always be the one that crosses. Antiparallelograms are also called contraparallelograms or crossed parallelograms. An antiparallelogram is a special case of a crossed quadrilateral, which has generally unequal edges. A special form of the antiparallelogram is a crossed Rectangle, in which two opposite edges are parallel.
I really liked this film a lot. I particularly liked the texture of the soil. It's just that.... Um.... Maybe...... Could you have made it a triangular hole?
What would it cost to actually do a project like that poor guy that is just wrong in every level I mean seriously inconsiderate I don't like working with people like that no way
If you were a hired hand or a contractor, wouldn't that kind of back-and-forth be a cash cow? It's only a problem if you're a salaried employee, in which case all your effort gets wasted on things other than what what build a good track record.
@@franzfrunzner4086 Agreed. That doesn't seem like the kind of employment arrangement here. It may be a journey of discovery, but that kind of situation calls for a change in employment. If such opportunities can't be found on the employment market, it might not be a viable form of paid employment. Whether it can be pursued as a personal endeavour is an open question.
This film sounds classist, which is class prejudice. It panders to the primal energy of its viewers who may have preconceived notions, or prejudices, of those from other classes. The "working class' is not necessarily harder working than the upper classes or vice versa. As important, in this 21st century, "hard work" is not always as important as "smart work." One persin once rightly informed me, "If you work smart, you may not have to work so hard."
I'm a construction worker. This is how it is. Not enough planned, not clear, blame down, blame down.

This is IT project management in a nut shell.
Absolutely!

So many incompetent people in the higher positions 🤦🏼♀️
I loved the reality and the climax tail end when pacing out so many holes
this is why architects charge more for addendums to the original design
There is only one conclusion: dig a hole in silence and don’t show it to anyone.👍
you're a genius evey time you seek validation this is what we come to.
Thank you all of you make this good film. It is true. It is life .
Why is it that this falls into every corner of the working work? Why is there such a detachment from upper management and the tires touching the pavement?
Been there! And kinda still am. I am the guy with the shovel. Would've walked after the rectangle!!!!🤬
I know all these people and can identify with one of them.
it s all believable as life until you notice No Gloves
It is not only in construction. It is everywhere.

As the architect who actually does the designs in my office, the others just loud mouths, this is how I feel during project reviews.
This was extremely painful to watch.
the best modern short movie,

Gosh I feel so bad for that guy😢😢😢😢

this is just toooooo sad cuz truth hurts
Don't worry, there are a lot of incompetent people down the food chain as well.
Viva La Dirt League, I member Byron from his voice.
Ah yes. The degreed vs the real.
Classic
Check out the old Bernard Cribbins song, hole in the ground
I made the film. Just checked out the song and it's a very similar idea. Feel honoured to have followed in the footsteps of the Cribbins.
@@jamessolomon519 Thank you for sharing the film with us. I feel vindicated. 😀
Who is the we? You mean he?

Sometimes, just sometimes, you like it when your work is actually meaningful...
