Something that should be mentioned, in 2017 after this aired a boy called his mother after seeing his photo on the screen behind the choir and has been reunited with his family
the best thing about this whole audition, a few people who were shown missing were actually found and reunited with their loved ones.
This is one of the most moving auditions ever
It takes so much strength to do this on this show intense missing a loved one. Not nowing what's happend. Heartbreaking.

I love what a big softy you are. Guys need to not be afraid to feel things. People vanishing is so scary, because you just have no idea.
Wow. My eyes were already welled up with tears long before the music even started. I did a paper in college about the battered women’s shelter here in my town, because, like you said, we need to care more as people. Get involved. The women and children that end up in that place are another example of humans letting down humans, and we should all care. These problems will never be resolved unless we shine a light on them. When you said over six million were missing, it shocked me. I had no idea the numbers were that high. I have to tell you Highly, you’re such a beautiful man, with such a big heart, I am really thankful that I stumbled across your channel. You’re the kind of person that would have been one of my best friends had we grown up in the same time and place. I’m 65, a couple generations ahead of you, and I don’t know about other countries, but here, we were so much better a society a couple of generations ago. People knew their neighbors, and cared more about their fellow man. People respected others, and respected the flag, and police, and their elders. We have digressed horribly.
'smarter than to get into that damn car'...you and me both brother. To lose someone and know what happened is the worst and hardest thing to overcome but to lose someone and not know where they are or what happened to them is...just...incomprehensible. I just can't imagine the torture that, that would be. Love to all those who've lost someone and don't know what happened to them. The torture you're mind would put you through would be unimaginable.

Simply admirable. It reminds me of Soul Asylum's "Runaway Train" from the 90's. Missing children were also searched for here. Some countries also had a version with regional missing persons cases. Cases were even cleared up through the videos... but unfortunately sometimes with a tragic end.
Hope this reaction will help bringing them back. It's a long shot, but who knows.
If I remember correctly, some of the people shown during the performance have actually been found because of it. Its been a while so I don’t remember the exact details but when I read about it I was so happy

Thank you for sharing this , I remember the lad Lee Boxwell case very well , laid heavy on so many hearts and only found the song his father wrote for him on here . They say he is buried in a graveyard that the police did do a dig , however the were not allowed to touch the actual graves only between the graves? If he had been buried in that graveyard of course it would have been in an established grave and I don’t believe that people with any heart would have objected to the deceased relatives grave being disturbed to enable the torment of these parents to end and allow their child the dignity of a Christian burial ? Or are people seriously so cruel! 🙏🏻❤️

So moving, I watched this when it aired it was incredible
A 13 year old boy who saw his mother on this show was reunited with his family.
You have to remember that the vast majority of people reported missing are found or return fairly quickly. And some people go by their own choosing and dont want to be found.

Its scary iused to live high up in Edinburgh and look out to the city and sometimes think therss people who are missing kidnapped or worse
I am from Netherlands but america alone 6.1 million missing imagine the rest of the world that is shocking
