Two more tips that I forgot to share!
-Personal goals: study the entire table and carefully consider which ones are going to make your character stronger and deadlier or increase survival. Some of them offer perks that can be very powerful, like Thrill Seeker, for example. Don’t forget to track your progress toward earning the goals because they are totally worth it!
    - Traders: Get the most out of running into a trader by spending any extra money you have to stock up on consumables, especially attunement crystals, bandages, rations, torches, lamp oil, and crafting supplies. Also buy pouches and a backpack as soon as you have the coin because more storage space is always needed and very useful!

    - Plan a secondary and primary Third mastery. I'm sitting at hundreds of combats at level 12 and haven't represented all the mastery amulets.
-Magic Resistance, and Damage are about the best leveling options, to the point I'd suggest trying for 50 MR and +2D4 damage over the first 5 level ups. Replace Damage with Aether if you primarily cast and really need it. Aside from Resolve most skills aren't really worth it in a level up.
-Camp, a lot, even if you have no rations or crafting supplies and may only get 1/4 the effect.
-Unless you're trying for the Growing Darkness personal goal, avoid Breathers like the plague, if the Tension Die doesn't get you, your dwindling lightsources will.
-Don't forget to attempt Stealth going into combats, the option to attempt a focused weak point attack is potent on round 1, even if it costs you -10 Perception on a failure.
-If your really comfortable with your survivability you can just camp, a lot, and grind out levels if you want. Even more so if you have bonuses to XP, just keep camping in a room over and over and keep whomping enemies.

Great tips, thank you for sharing! 50 MR is a great goal to shoot for with the vast majority of characters. Can’t really go wrong there! The Thrill Seekers perk really makes dealing with Growing Darkness events less stressful! I should’ve talked about perks more!
