    There is a real dearth of audiobooks for table top RPGs. It's a problem, many visually impaired people want these resources, and very few people make them. Great job, dude!

      I've found "LitRPG" to be a pretty close genre, although many of them are more of an MMORPG online gaming theme than specifically tabletop gaming.

    This is still a great source of idea material if you are using a later ruleset or associated ruleset (read: Pathfinder). I just used the City That Waits as a standalone adventure location. Instead of it being on another plane, I located it deep in an arctic region with towers jutting from a sub-freezing ocean; an ancient and alien fortress unlike they had ever seen. This location kept the 'frozen' theme intact, then I had to swap out some creatures and look up appropriate trap DCs for the char levels.

    Wyloch, you are an EXCELLENT narrator! I've listened to a lot of audiobooks (I'm legally blind and the printed ones give me migraines), so I'm used to enjoying books sometimes in spite of the narrator rather than because of them. It's a treat to hear a good narrator read something they are invested in themselves.

    Absolutely loved Return.
    Tomb of Horrors (AD&D and various official conversions), Return to the Tomb of Horrors (2nd), and Tomb of Horrors (4th super adventure) were in my opinion an excellent franchise. While I haven't actually read Tomb of Annihilation (5th) my understanding from the synopsis and people who have read/played it is that it doesn't really "fit in" and I wish they hadn't called it a continuation. Return included the original dungeon as part of it; the 4th edition super adventure revisited Skull City, Moil, and the Fortress from Return, as well as the original dungeon (although these were "aged"); all of these built off of the previous. ToA just takes the same villain and repurposes him.

    • @Taricus

      There was a 3rd edition one from Dungeon Magazine too. It was more of just an update, so that you could play it as written with the stats for 3rd, I think.

      @@Taricus if it's the one I'm thinking of, it was one of wotc's free web adventures and it was a simple conversion of the original. There were also 4e and 5e direct conversions, which is why I noted 'and official conversions'

    Very good work ! The idea of RPG books audiobook is a good one. Wish there were more.
    I have to ask, does the whole "false prince" thing is something that's part of Greyhawk lore, was it ever followed up in either this scenario or any other ? Because it feels like a weird narrative aside otherwise.
    Also same with the memoirs of Didro Eightfingers ? I mean I can see how it could tie to the rest o the adventure since it contain, some vague information about two room in the black academy but still... there's no indication on how the Pcs culd resonably learn about it or even the scribe selling the plays. I guess it's jsut somthing for a GM to insert in how they see fit ?

    • @Taricus
      @Taricus Год назад

      It was a promotional thing given out at bookstores in real life. The book explains the story behind it, because the players might investigate the meaning behind it--because it was meant to promote this module.

    • @Taricus
      @Taricus Год назад

      The false prince is just an interesting point of interest to make the travel back more than just a series of random encounters. It's a location/event encounter. DM's are free to elaborate on it, if they want to. It could be based on something in the author's home campaign or a plot hook for a future module, but could just be there as inspiration. That was common in older editions.
