Tap is more flexible of a dance style in that tap has both. It’s just not being shown here. But you could still tell the difference between both dance styles regardless.
From what i can tell based off the internet irish dancers and clogger use their heels alot more than tap dancers and tap dancers tend to be more solo routines 😊
which one is harder? to me, Irish dancing looks harder. Buy that could be because tap is like ballet where is supposed to look easier but it's an illusion
@@NegativeAccelerate Nope. The Irish way of doing it would ultimately be easier because of the stricter nature of the way they move their legs. It is also more fluid, naturally, to the body. Tap is not as fluid, and you can tell.
@BrokensoulRider that feels like a contradiction. If irish dancing is restricive, then how is it more fluid? But anyways, a sport is only as hard as you make it. I don't think any sport is harder than another anymore because its roo hard to quantify
@@NegativeAccelerate Look at the motions for the Irish step compared to the tap. Just because something is more restrictive in terms of certain motions does not mean it can't be more fluid than a 'free form' sort of dance like Tap. Ballet is a good comparison for Irish step. Ballet's very restrictive, but also fluid and graceful. And I did ballet. xD
Tap dancing in my opinion is more like regular dancing movements except you just have to tap with a rythim with your feet, Irish’s is more of just a full dance in itself. The main difference is one is from America and the other is from Ireland lol.
I first noticed that in Irish the step motion tends to be more forward and back, whereas tap the movement is more out to the sides and back in. Plus tap allows the whole body to move and sway with a rhythm. With the irish aka Riverdance there's almost a disconnect between the upper and lower body. . I heard a rumor...probably bogus...that the reason the arms remain so rigid is because some douchebag king outlawed dancing and for whatever reason it didn't count as dancing if the arms dont move.
Differences are Irish- leg movement is more strict and has more movement. As well as standing up straight. Tap- Leg movement is less strict and has some movement. As well as leaning over more and more arm movement.
More firm with jrish step danceing and you gotta keep ur arms at ur side whereas with tap dancing you can be more free to move around and leas stiff i used to isih step dance it was really fun
I love the Irish but one thing that I can see that is wrong is the arms. They’re both kinda flailing their arms but in Irish dance your supposed to bring your arms up back and down and you hands in fists behind you back.
The Irish jig is tap dancing. It's just a choreographed dance. I can make a black stomp jig from tap dancing, it would be a unique and original choreographed dance called "the black stomp jig" but it would still be what?!... TAP DANCING💯🤦🏽♂️ Lol I'm js
So Irish is more about crossing the legs and tap keeps the legs more open

Irish dancing also has minimal arm movements
@@benebacher2470 tap also seems to have legs in parallel while Irish uses turnout
The only real difference to me is that irish has strict leg movements.
Yeah I much prefer how structured Irish is
@@SobrietyandSolace tell me you like classical better than jazz without telling me you like classical better than jazz

Yeh I do Irish and my teacher is ncie but so strict with leg movements
they are so different bro u dont understand
Irish dance is gorgeous.
Love this! I've done both and it's so interesting how many options there are for sounds and visuals.

@@NegativeAccelerateive never done irish but have tap for almost 6 years and it is DEFINITELY an illusion!

Also, Irish activates core and maintains a 5th position (ballet terminology), tap is loose in positioning and core activation.
Irish is more strict and tap is more fluid. Both are beautiful types of dance. ❤

As an Irish Fiddle player myself this is beautiful and so well played ❤❤
The shoes are different -- Irish dance heavy shoes have fiberglass tips and heels, and tap shoes have two metal plates screwed into the soles.
You can tell that the guy has a much harder time moving his upper body while tapping bc he’s so used to doing the opposite in Irish
Tap is more stompy and less restricted, and Irish is more refined and delicate with the steps.
Bro would be a professional upstairs neighbor big time😂
God this is so impressive and it’s so so so interesting to see the same sounds coming from completely different visuals!! 😮
I genuinely can’t tell the difference but this is still very impressive:)
❤️🖤💛
As a Irish dancer Damm you get sweaty after practise 😂😂
The legs are more controlled in the Irish dance as opposed to tap, tap is wider stance, Irish is very close.tap is sloppy.
I like 'em both.
This is litt 🔥🔥🔥
The steps are more annunciated in Irish dance. I see it as tap is to Irish dance, what contemporary/modern is to ballet.
I want to learn both
Very cool!
Increíbleeeeeee🔥

irish is a lot beautiful
Now this sound will be in my head … for looong a guess
Отлично 👍
Молодцы
Irish is more graceful
OMG wait I just realized. You know that audio in the art tutorials be like trend, the tap/ irish dance literally has the same beat and rhythm
WOAH.....COOL
My gosh I made the like count 1k :D YA’LL DESERVE THIS THOUGH THE SOUND IS JUST ADDICTING
I want to learn so bad, I have tap shoes that have just sat in my closet for over a year. Those both look like fun
Bring a Irish dancing is Damm hard
Irish is more along the centre line and crossing the legs with strictly no upper body movement 👍
In Ireland, the dancer knees don't last long!
😱
Irish looked more natural
I honestly prefer irish more :)
Istg Irish people are good at dancing
Молодцы, ребята, здорово исполняете! А как ваши имена?
I put the new forgis on the jeep country
999999999\1 Im Irish I can approve of this video😂😂😂
You can see the strict English influence in the Irish.

Tap has more freedom imo and its better
Sounds like the song Sid the sloth made his tribe do in ice age 3.
Irish (I do Irish)

Whag if you mixed them together? Tap irish!!?!
Tap dance looks like an Americans fail attempt of Irish dancing LUL
The tap dance kinda looks like it’s you know.
Can you guys please do time steps
