I’ll save everyone a lot of time. Andy did not like the idea of the character of the mayor.
Great documentary
Good job
Andy loved pretty women 😅
So confusing with the man in a hurry constantly referenced as a mayor. Annoying to true fans who know different
The Warren character got on my last nerve!
In the late 70's I travelled through Mount Airy N.C. . There was a restaurant there named Floyd's barber shop which was full of Mayberry souvenirs and their specialty was a pork chop sandwich which was amazing . I still have an autographed picture of Don Knots hanging in my spare bedroom .
It was a good show.....but just get to the darn point already.....geeees
The Mayor was portrayed by Dick Elliott. The second Mayor was Parley Baer . Robert Emhardt portrayed as “Man in a hurry “ he was never the mayor of Mayberry.😮
My fave was Ernest T Bass who didn't chew his cabbage twice.
As a little girl I grew up watching the Andy Griffith show with my family and grandmother. We just loved this show!
CITIZENS ARREST CITIZENS ARREST WAS TRULY BRILLIANT 👏
God I love that show I used to watch it when I was a kid with my mom and dad even in black and white I still love watching it
I also as a child grew up watching the Andy Griffith show! I loved this show! Man I really miss those days !
I don't really care who Andy hated in the series The Andy Griffith show but I do wish that I was able to step back in time maybe that's why my mind really is in a Time Warp because these are times that I hold very close and dear to me the comedies wagon train rawhide The Andy Griffith show The Carol Burnett show whatever happened to shows like that we don't know how to do comedy no more and it's sad so what do we do we should one another in the cities that we live in that's even more from Joseph here in that's why I guess I became an amateur radio operator to get me away from the bad times that the world gives me and now I have good times playing with amateur radio equipment I hope everybody has a good year
They really messed up on the actors that portrayed the mayor. The pictures they showed did not match the actors name.
GOD BLESS Mayberry and all who lived therein its where I go to feel human agian and get rid of all my problems, I hope it never ends! Lets all go fishing!!!!!!!!!
it never gets old , I have tendinitis, so bad that it like a bees nest in my head and have to have the T.V on to fall a sleep and I set it on Andy and set the timer . also to I use thc/cbd gummies do to 23 years of being in the military and have bad nightmares do to PTSD to help me sleep and it really helps and the cbd seems to help all the injuries I received during all my tours overseas it does give me a buzz before it puts me to sleep, and gosh talk about the chuckles I get just listening to the show. It just a show that is so dang funny and so wholesome. I grew up in rural, Maine and can so relate to this show. And watched it as a youngster.
I didn't like the one that played Helen Crump. I thought she was a real witch on the show and was always getting mad at Andy.
Robert Emhardt never played Mayor Pike. That was Parley Baer!
My favorite show I grew up watching
Andy never looked like that.
The Andy griffin show was a wonderful family show. A small town that everybody wanted to live in, a place where kind hard working people lived. Neighbours cared about one another. I still watch this show today in reruns😊😊😊
My local TV station is playing reruns of Matlock in the morning. They were playing The Andy Griffith Show, but ran out of episodes, so it's pretty safe to say I've watched every episode. Green Acres too. Comedy was different back then. Much more innocent than today's.
i hated earnest t bass and the darlings and mayor stoner loved the rest
Being from NC, Andy could run for Governor and win. I'm like lot's of people on here, I grew up watching the Andy Griffith Show, and still watch it on Paramount & Pluto. I 've even have ordered B/W tapes of the show. But when Don Knotts left, I couldn't watch it that much because I couldn't stand Warren. He over acted his part IMO all the time, .and was a big turn off. Ken Barry. wasn't as annoying as Warren, and never over acted like Goober. Besides some members of the cast on the color shows I was able to watch the show, but it wasn't the same. In my opinion I think the writers tried to make the show more modern for the time period and lost what made the show famous to begin with. When Don Knotts guess starred on the color shows, It made them more enjoyable to watch.....IMA
I'm moving too Mayberry when i retire.
One of the greatest shows ever
Andy had a affair with mistress miss grump opies teacher while he was married to his wife Andy was more of a fan but a cheater to his wife and family true story 😂
I really think it was Aunt Bee
The one character I hated was Helen Crump. She was never happy, always mad. Helen Grump.
loved the Andy Griffith show. 🙂
One of the best shows ever. Right up until they went to color. It seemed to lose the humbleness of the black and white episodes.
We watch it everyday on Me TV
Aunt Bee! She never liked him for some reason. Maybe it was his well known affair with Helen while onset and then home to his wife and kids. Honestly pretty typical for the time - just usually not out in the open.
Wonderful show, still watch the reruns.
I watch it on pluto they run it 24/7 all the shows and its free
I never really care for Matlock but i did like the one episode wher don knots mafe an apearance.
It seems most of these smaller characters were also on “Perry Mason.” Even Aunt Bee had her time on “Perry Mason.”
Andy Griffith and Frances Bavier (war of the worlds) did not get along personally, because Andy was a Christian and Frances was a hard core liberal. Ron W4BIN
ANDY GRIFFITH AND I LOVE LUCY WERE CLASSICS SEINFELD SUCKED AS A TV SHOW
I KNOW THIS. ALL. TOO. WELL. MY. MOTHER PAST AWAY IN 1972 WHEN I WSS 8. SO I. HAD MY DAD GRANDMOTHER. & SISTERS. HELP. RAISE. & TAKE CARE OF ME
It was Aunt Bea
Mt. Airy isn’t really in the heart of NC. It’s in the northwest. It’s in a mountainous area near Virginia. When Frances Bavier retired, she retired to Siler City which is near the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) and the Triad (Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem). Siler City is more the heart of the state.
The guy who played, Warren, the deputy who replaced Barnery was a pathetic replacement for Don Knotts beloved character, Barnye Fife. I'm gonna have to pull a Gomer, and make a "Citizens arrest!" "Citizens arrest!" for hiring the actor who played Warren. Loved the show as a kid growing up in Ohio. Great memorise of watching it with my family. Same as the joy I had watching the Beverly Hills with them.
I think it was aunt B
Well nobody is perfect but I loved Andy & the show❤
It was aunt B.
Do not forget that Barny and Andy were COUSINS.
I grow up with the show. I always wanted to live in a town like that.
The only person that disliked anyone was aunt Bea. She didn't like anyone but was nice to Ron Howard.
I was sooo glad when Warren disappeared! I have no idea what the hell they were thinking when they created this this obnoxious character!
Best sitcom ever !
I got it from watching the show so far that it was aunt bee that Andy was having a problem getting along with
This whole thing is ridiculous, that is not the mayor
I never liked Aunt Bee she was a pain in the neck
Thanks for post❤
I am 60 yrs. Old and my youngest brother and i were 10 yrs. Apart and i remember as a kid when we were growing up watching the Andy show and my younger brother calling our dad "pa"
ME. MY SELF. DID ENJOY THE SHOW.
said auntbee was fulla wisdom lol.. fulla chit she was..
I have all the seasons of Andy Griffith Show on DVD and we watch them regularly
I loved Deputy Barney Fife
He couldn't stand the woman who played Aunt B, she was a hateful bitter woman until she died.
First mayor was confused multiple times on the video with the "impatient man" whose car had broken down in town while passing thru Mayberry on a Sunday afternoon. He was very impatient to get car fixed so he could get back on the road. He tried to phone the service station but he couldn't call because of some ladies chatting on the party line.
I have all of the seasons to thr ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW. GREATEST TV SIT COM , EVER !!!
I just get to find out my coworker is originally from mt airy north Carolina she moved here for her late husbands life she has many andy Griffith show story they have the parade and remember day each year in her home town sometimes she returns to visit her family, friends she said i think it cool
Mayberry is overrun with meth labs today
Warren blew..
It was a known fact that Andy and aunt Bee had a hatred for one another.
It was just on.
He played mr Tucker
AUNT B. WAS MY FAVORITE 😍 💕
I also grew up in the community's portrayed in the show..
That's okay . Some people can't stand Andy .
The show did revolve around Andy.😮
Great TV shows are still on today.
My favorite show! Still watching it
Goober is the worlds
only honest car mechanic
Controversy is not a part of everything and everyone’s life.
Great production...thank you.
Best episode was the one about Aunt Bea’s pickles!!
Andy thought the show evolved around him.
