    I remember from another channel I watch based in Florida, that the peacocks were introduced to combat the Mayan cichlids, something about the peacocks' main food source. I agree though, that is a draw down there. I haven't rushed there but would love to catch those cool fish.
    I'm so glad to see a long raw and uncut today. I was driving across I-80 in Wyoming. I put you on, minimized the screen and listened as I drove though the snow.
    Thank you for taking us along!! I really thought you were going to do a shad rod, a crappie magnet rod, and the gulp lol. Have a blessed day Justin.

    Sat down to supper in the recliners and I said Will reckon Justin has a new one out for us? He said he didn’t think so. Aha! Yes! Dinner and fishing with Justin on a Friday night! I assume you can see who watches all the way through. The tv has Wills ID in it. I want to make sure you realize that. I watch it too tho it has his account up. However, I’m getting sleepy so we may have to go to bed. Getting old sucks! You eat. You get sleepy like a baby! Those are big shiners. $1.33333 each. That’s crazy. Great video!!

    Another great video, Justin ! You always make me feel like I am sitting in the boat with you,
    fishing with an old friend. Here is a suggestion to get an interesting person to fish with you, uncut, on a catfish video and raise a bit of cash for you, too. Raffle off a day of catfishing with Justin ! I for one would pay good money to meet you and have a fun and relaxing day fishing. Heck, I feel like we already know each other. I am certain many hundreds or even thousands of your fans feel the same. As a precaution to ensure you don't have a weirdo, a troll, or a person who would be inappropriate on a video, the highest bidder takes you to lunch. You sit, you talk. You size them up. If you like him/her, you shoot the uncut video. If for whatever reason the chemistry just isn't there for you, the next highest bidder gets to take Justin to lunch for their "interview" for the opportunity. Please note. I am much more keen on meeting you than being on RUclips. Anyway, keep the videos coming.

    The gulp purchasing has been difficult since COVID. Prices tripled. I seen people paying for jars and receiving packs because jars are upwards of $15. It's crazy and try to get some help is worse than pulling teeth. Then you order some trout magnet 1/64 jig heads and get something closer to a 1/32. It's odd for sure.

    • @KayakCatfish
      @KayakCatfish  11 месяцев назад +1

  • @fishinkeylargo
    @fishinkeylargo 11 месяцев назад +2

    I think a lot of people would watch the raw uncut catfish trips. It would be one of those listen to videos while doing something else and stop to watch when action happens.
    The unknown fish around the 2 hour 15 minute mark was an Oscar, a common aquarium fish.
    The Peacock Bass was purposely released to help control all the other invasive fish that the native fish were not really eating. The Peacock bass is the only non native fish with a size and bag limit. Over time the exotic fish have turned into an awesome fishery mainly because of the Peacock Bass.
    Iguanas crap every where and will absolutely destroy your garden and flowering plants. In Key Largo the iguanas are so bad I can no longer have a garden in my yard.
    Domestic shiners don't last long without aeration. Even with it I replace about half my water in the bucket every hour. They are too expensive to let die.
    The sun and heat should get those Peacocks fired up. I always do best on Peacocks in mid day when it is sunny.
    When you moved across the lake you did not catch anymore fish.

    A non-native fish is not necessarily ‘invasive’. Typically, a species is classified as invasive when it has a severely detrimental impact on the native ecosystem. Both native and non-native species can be deemed ‘invasive’. My guess is peacock bass are not considered invasive where you are fishing or Fish and Game would not stock them. Great videos. Always enjoy watching!
