    This would have to be one of the most instructive series of films showing the ins and outs of trouble shooting the A-Series (and B-Series for that matter) and other period engines.
    Well done, I've found these most instructive as I've just bought back by chance a 1967 MGB GT, I owned 36 years ago (older than you my good man).

    I've got electronic ignition on my Rover P6 but carry a spare fully made up (points type) distributor in the boot for emergencies.. Thank you for your informative and entertaining videos.. (Phil - Lancashire)

    Test light can also be used for setting the ignition timing if you have points and condenser ignition. Not as accurate as a timing light though.
    Apparently you can use a multimeter to set the dwell angle (point gap).

    Nope!! I'm 53 years old and no matter how many times I watch or hear things about car electrics it just doesn't compute in my head. My brain just isn't made to comprehend and understand it so I stay away from them and allow magicians like you to sort it out for me lol
