Nice one Paul! Such a great learning tool, a crying shame that cars have become so impossible to get your head around these days with a bag of spanners and a hammer! Although, the Skoda fabia does seem like a decent excuse to get my head around ‘remapping’ with a laptop and a fancy OBD/usb connector…wonder what I can make it do!
We’re getting there! A decent bleed through and some radweld should give me a few miles of fun…then it has to be time to look at that bladdy welding! Boo!
Appreciate it mate, cheers!! Hoping to get her out tomorrow morning for a decent clean down and polish up - she bloody deserves some love after the dark and wet year she’s had in that garage!
I think it was a stroke of luck just getting the holes lined up okay! I was ready for a battle… Very much looking forward to getting the proper bleed through sorted - I’m just gutted that work has got my tired up all through this last bit of summer, it’ll be dark at 4pm by the time I can crack on with it properly again I rekon, bugger! 😢
@@ABrummieWunders As I am not thinking of selling it, and it's the second time I've done a master cylinder on this one, chances are it will be me again. But if you like a challenge, crack on 🤣
Morris Minors are great eh. Our national car.
Well done a lot easier to work on these old smokers. 🛠️

Nice work. Nearly ready for the road again!

You got the bolts back in the master cylinder much easier than I did once you bleed the brakes I am sure they be fine

When I did mine I put the bolts in the other way round with the nuts by the torsion bar. Makes it so much easier to change next time
I did consider it myself! But do like a challenge and thought the next owner who has to have a crack at this would appreciate the struggle too…ha!
There'll be insufficient clearance for the end of the bolt and nut, and it may rattle against the torsion bar!
