Putting the valance on first when installing blinds on the inside of frame then putting blinds in brackets like you show is kinda tricky but it’s the only way to do it. I found that opening the brackets then starting the blinds in slightly then forcing my hand behind the valance to close bracket works only because the flimsy valance bows outward. I also used a screw driver to force the front of bracket latch down. Your video put me on the right track but the process needs to be redesigned by the manufacturer.

Good Afternoon,
We have purchased the same exact blinds. We also have a two year old and are very concerned that by only utilizing the screws and brackets that come with the blinds that it may stay in postion. We fear that It may fall on our active yet curious child's head. Do you have any suggestions?

Did you remove the pin at 3:10 in the video? This pin will prevent the blinds from coming down.

When I was drilling the screw holes for the brackets, the drill bit hit a metal plate. How should I handle this?
Did you drill through the plate? If so see if the screws will hold when screwed through the plate.

Is it possible to install these if the windowsill isn’t deep like this?
Yes as long as you have more than 2 inches depth or you could mount these on the molding or face of the window. Thank you for watching, hopefully this helps!

Now the question is how to remove the old blind(the vertical one) from the window to place this one.
Usually vertical blinds have screws in the tracks that can be removed in order to remove the blinds totally. Thank you for watching!
