I'm thinking perhaps the faster tempo is meant to compensate for the acoustics of the church. It is a bit quicker than the performances I've heard in the past, but it's so well done.
Jesus, knowing that His hour had come to pass out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end…..The Holy Gospel according to Saint John, 13:1, the opening of the account of the Last Supper and the Book of Glory
Wonderfully sung and brilliantly conducted - thank you for an exciting interpretation of Duruflé!
A wonderful presentation for this piece of music, thankyou.
Gorgeous sound~~. The Duruflé sounds unusually rapid, though. Duruflé wrote quarter note (crochet) = m.m. 66.

Wow I love it 🙏
Amazing!
Does anybody have the full Latin text for the entrance antiphon chant? Thank you
It is Ubi Caritas, found in the washing of the feet on Maundy Thursday

Too fast.
