- LoloYodel 2 camera/angle video remix but this time with 100% 1st generation "Lazy Cow" (Angles One and Two) plus slight additional editing and visual additions....
This was the 2nd night of the now legendary Oct. 1989 Hampton shows under the billing of the Dead as "The Warlocks"
In addition to the spectacular renditions of each song, it was also the 1st Dark Star since Berkley 1984, the 2nd Death Don't Have No Mercy since 1972, the 1st Attics of My Life since 10-28-1972 and the 1st time Dark Star and Death Don't were played in the same show since 11-2-69 ...
Regardless of the "firsts", the playing here, from start to end, was simply ON THE BALL (in the wave, on target, whatever !). Enjoy.

IWT - best show I ever saw :)
Same here, well one of them anyhow. Smokin'! _Simply (literally?) smokin'_ , even! 😜 And check it, Garcia broke Wolf out for it! Almost forgot he rarely broke Wolf out, as he does here. I hadn't known Doug Irwin took 6+ years to make Tiger for Jerry, the guitar he used most, until yesterday. Nor that he'd built Wolf & Eagle for him before Tiger, & also _Saint_ for him @ the end of the 80's (dubbed Rosebud by Jerry), until today lol. The recording section at shows was sacred ground. A brilliant decision on the band's part, allowing those so inclined an acoustically conducive area to record in, even allowing some to plug directly into the board feeds. Thanks to the tapers, the band has an amazingly well preserved, rich & historical musical archive that otherwise wouldn't exist. Thanks to LoloYodel too, for having the good taste to host some of their best performances.
I wanted to hear Jerry play this before I went to bed. And I wanted a version during the Brent years so I just randomly stuck in `89. And Hampton came to the top. I forgot they played this here. And then I saw it was a LoloYodel mix. Couldn't be more perfect!!! Thank you once again Lolo!!!
Lol bobby jumping the gun on the kick back to 4/4 time out from the interlude in 6 but still phenomenal
they're a band beyond description...
One of my all time favorites. I miss Brent and Jerry. Thanks for posting this.
.....where they ever here at alllllllllllll?????????
i think jerry wanted to keep exploring the interlude and was rudely abrupted by going back to the song on this one lol
This is just super! Thx LoloYo!
Bobby louder in the mix than Jerry..😮
Awesome set! Loved hearing Bobby, but I wish Jerry would have been louder in the mix
Was this the warloq's show?
Mule sez--BOB sez--THIS show never took place--he might be right!!!(~);}
