I've been racing in VR since 2016 and the last LMU update put VR in a really good state aside from a tweak or two so I have the utmost confidence the finished VR will be a great experience
@@MichiHoyer I'm basically 99.9% sure the second car in that teaser they put out is the Corvette. I listened to an onboard of the Vette after the teaser when they released it and it sounded almost identical to me. It also sounds kind of similar to the Vette GTE already in the game but a little more tame.
Just tried VR in LMU for the first time and it’s way better than acc vr by a long shot. I just put post processing to medium and msaa 4x for it to run perfectly with my hardware. This sim has the best physics by far, I can’t wait for gt3s to come !
If they go to subcription im still gonna support. This game is too good to let die. Plenty of haters out the flaming it already, with many of them not even having tried it. MSG’s reputation is still doing the harm, but with LMU they are trying to rectify
Though i find LMU the best alternative to iracing and years ahead of ACC in simulation, who will pay a subscription for a product IN development is a morron. You pay a subscription for a finished product to keep it running and may updating it or fixing it every now and then. Not for a buggy, very content limited product in development. This is called investment and they should give many benefits to the idiots they will give their money to help them.
I think with the position the sim is currently at this moment. Then adding in the near future enhancements they are working on the sim is on solid ground. Then when adding a good broadcasting solution, anti cheat software good rules management to enforce safety ratings that are fair. I think the subscription model makes sense when you are paying for extra services like server farms, security plus some other functions. Subscription models or monthly license fees are important to keep building up the sim foundation for everyone. I read many complaints or issues with Iracing model but the proof is in the constant evolution of the software. We may not laways agree with a change here or there but it is constantly getting better and my opinion the subscription is inexpensive. The larger cost is in the content which per piece is not expensive but the amount of content makes it costly if you want everything. But each user gets to pick what they want or don't. I enjoy LMU a great deal.
I think this game will sadly never gain enough popularity to really benefit from a subscription service. The problem is that people are very invested in to iracing, even if lmu was better in all aspects, no one will switch from iracing. Most only have time to drive one sim game after all. Few hours a week of wheel time, it's just not worth it to split it between multiple titles.. I would love to see lmu gain popularity and make the devs money, they have created a great sim, they deserve it. But i don't think a sub model will save this title. Hope i am wrong. For me, i prefer this over other sim titles at the moment
I think LMU is the best sim out there at the moment in terms of FFB/physics and tyre model. BUT it is very light on content compared to pretty much any other sim, nobody is going to pay for the game, pay again for the content and then move their subscription from iRacing to a sim with 10% of the content for more money.
$15 a month is nothing. I’ve done many hobbies through the years, golf, fishing, moto track days, boating, RC racing, slot cars and more. Plus we spend thousands on a rig, wheel base, pedals etc.. Online racing is cheap. Iracing is successful with a crap netcode, avg everything else but servers world wide. I’ll spend the money with LMU to support sim racing. I’m a league racer, I got my silver because and just did 10 races in the back to be safe. So leagues coming is what I’m looking forward to, not gt3.
Thats great to hear you are looking forwards to the leagues. Hopefully they also flush in. Would be good for the community too. I agree with the Hobby expenses. Played Handball myself, at leas 1 pair of shoes per year, 1 can of wood liquid for sticky gluey hands, and the 500km of travels every season for all the "away-games"... certainly more expensive than 150€/yr
"We spend" is more like a select few spend. I managed to go with just over 1k for a full rig chassis, pedals, 34 inch ultrawide monitor and monitor stand. And that's again, for a full rig which i'll probably never change much of. 15$ per month is not really nothing. I understand they need money but this should be a temporary solution until they gain popularity. Iracing is also not that much more popular and outright superior than the cheaper brother acc was at its peak, when it was still being developed and worked on. So while i do understand the curent msg and s397 situation, let's still not encourage this money throwing at racing sims.
@@rickrolled7930these companies that develop sims, are so small. they can't afford to put out continuous content. anyone who understands this, would be willing to support their favorite sims. look at iracing, it has the worst tire model in sim racing and it's still the most popular sim by far. so people are willing to pay for stuff. give the dev teams that actually know how to make something drive good extra resources
@@rickrolled7930iracing has I think 270,000 users. Not everyone gets paid in first world currency (dollar, euro). Good for you if you can spend $15 a month without second thoughts, but that's not "cheap"
The mega cool news I celebrate the game. I have not had so much fun with a racing game for a long time. It challenges you and at the same time rewards you if you drive a lot - I love it
A well spoken video regarding everything. I dont mind subscription and yes its up to LMU to make me want it, the game is such a joy to drive im happy to pay sub because i want to support the devs. Ive hardly touched Iracing due to the GT3s having plastic tyres that turn to lava. Competition is good and we can see Iracing has host of updates planned. The devs are great on the discord, if you play LMU its worth joining.
I like the game but the dlc in early access is absurd and the subscription model is the dumbest idea they could ever have. No one is going to pay monthly for a game with three classes and 8 tracks.
They would happly add more content if they had what to add. You could count the wec races per season on your hand fingers and still have fingers left. This year we also only have 2 classes. There's just not that much content really. Wec drivers usually race in other series as well to not get bored. The idea with lmu is not to be something like iracing. This is a more casual from time to time sim.
A driver ranking based on a cumulative lap times,in a car class compared to our peers. Split 1 or split 7, a guy that can consistently put down lap times with the top drivers should be rated as such. I would have no problem being a silver or gold driver in daily races but a bronze driver in a championship form because of my lap times…I would know exactly which drivers I am competing against
For people who are league racers or hosted, not official racer in rf2, LMU or iracing. I would be placed in lower tiers but my times and speeds would be higher, higher chance to win . It’s not a problem because it’s not something that happens often. If they (me ) raced more official than it would level out. Iracing went off just qualifying for the Indy 500 years ago which was good and bad. Bad being, they started up front but their long race race craft wasn’t great because they spent all their time in qualifying trim to make the top split
I’m more talking about how the FIA does it, I think a race shorter than 3 hours they take the average of the fastest 10 laps by each driver. Races 3 hours or longer they take 20 laps. Not really just how fast you are on qualifying runs, but over the course of an entire race
More content and tracks is defo needed before the implementation of a subscription modthatdnce that is done I'll be happy paying for this instead of crappy iracing
@FlagnarBoobz that's part of it but more like when you go through the final chicane at spa or t1 monza. Mostly in the prototypes there is next to no ffb. You can't tell what the car is doing. It's like there is no weight to the car.
