Have you experienced any racism in Northern Ireland?
@@emilymumo380I have not experienced any form of racism directly but I have heard and seen subtle attacks towards people. They may not even be dark skinned.
Thank you for the helpful tips,am watching from Kenya, kindly share the agency you used,am interested in Ireland too
@@marthaodhoch3679 I used MMA. I made a video about them too
Very detailed. Tanx .from Ghana
I'm ur big fan, I showed ur videos to my friends and we had a good laugh. We joked about coming to the UK with packs of black pen and doing business with it. Thou we laughed at how you pronounced some words too.
Every new video is better than the last.
Keep it up ma..
Lol 😀 I know some of my pronunciations are funny, I used to get teased about it in school until I didnt care anymore and blamed it on my Deltan/Warri tongue.
Incase you come to NI, please bring biro for me too o

I hope I am not late here. Thank you for everything. I love your channel so much information. Please I hope you answer me.What are the requirements or processes you go through when you want to move from a care home to NHS after you have completed your care home contract. Example if you came to the UK as a senior carer because midwifery jobs are hard to find in the UK, and you planned on applying for a midwifery job after your senior carer contract ends?
im guessing you already figured it out
Wow I really enjoyed and learnt a lot.thumbs up sis.Correct nija babe. This video came right when I really needed it.Please don't stop doing your videos, will soon join you. Please be safe and God bless you.Team home care.

You're so generous with info. Thanks a lot. Which airline did you use that allows you only 2x23kg luggage?

Thank you Gracie
I love your realness ❤️ this is very informative 😊... Im a South African working in Saudi Arabia interested to come over there
Thank you. Goodluck with your application when you decide to make the move
Another good and important video. Great work ! How did you get to choose the city you eventually live in the uk and what factors helped in consideration
Thanks. I researched on the 4 regions that makes up the uk and decided on NI based on affordability, calm environment, where I will like to raise a family etc. It depends on what you want and what is a priority for you. If you like big cities then NI might not be the best place. I love the peace and serenity in my locality. It has a community feel because it's not very big. So browse and check the pros and cons of all 4 region before deciding on a place to live.
I love this video, thank you
I really enjoy your videos.
Great enlightment... Am a Nigerian Nurse, based in saudi but will be coming to the UK soon. I get all my wigs from Alipearl on aliexpress. Quality is everything and expensive to some persons but affordable to some. Or ISEE hair .
Thanks, I will check them out. I dont have one vendor I use, I just go online and buy what I like 😜
@@ScholasticaUgboka nop, you have to scrutinize the seller via review sections. So you don't make mistake, because alot of low quality item are on aliexpress.
Thanks so much for the insights
Thank you
God bless you scholastica for this information.
Amen. Thank you
Thanks for the enlightenment
How do I get a job in Northern Ireland as an overseas nurse? Passed IELTS and CBT
Sorry for the late reply, have you gotten a job now? The thing is to keep on applying, at first it will look like you are getting only rejection emails but if you continue to apply very soon you will be receiving more than enough offers to choose from.
I love this video 😍😍💕
Thank you
Hi, thanks for the video. Very informative. While talking about getting snacks for the flight, can we carry them in our handbag
Yes you can. You are not allowed to carry liquid in your bag so no juice or soft drink. You will be offered drinks in the plane

Can you do a video on the products to buy for each product. At least you have been living there for a while. Thanks dear
Are you referring to food/grocery shopping?
@@ScholasticaUgboka yes please. Food stuff. Also how can one weigh his/her bag before getting to the airport. Finally where can someone get thick jacket in Nigeria
@@ScholasticaUgboka Also, are the room furnished with cooking utensils
Hi Schola, I just want to start this nursing journey but seriously don’t when where to start from. With your experience what would you suggest. Should l go to school of nursing in 9ja here or just find way and do it in Uk, since l want to practice abroad
it will be cheaper for you to do it Nigeria unless you are loaded with money. as soon as you get your license in Nigeria then you can start applying to other countries and be getting work experience while you wait till you complete your registration to other countries
Wow. Just when I needed this video. Thanks so much
N/B Try not to smack your lips while talking
Noted. It's an unconscious act but I will try 😊. Thanks

Hi Scholastic. I want to kindly ask, if you work in a care home, is it possible to work with agencies that can place you in hospitals.
Pretty barbee tnx so much.

Hi Dear, this video was amazing!!!!
I watched it with my colleagues at work and we loved every bit of it. And I remember you from SON Warri, you were the Nightingale of your set.
Please 500 pounds for rent, is it paid monthly or yearly?
Chai, You know me reach house o
The rent is paid monthly.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing this we really appreciate it..
But please I have a question.
Can you work and study for BSN at the same time in the UK?
Will your employer allow it?
Yes, you have to discuss it with your employer and come to agreements about your work and school schedule so they dont affect each other
How much were you earning after getting your pin, please if you don't mind, can you share?
Roughly around 2000 a month
Thank you for the video, did you go to a school of nursing or a university in Nigeria?
School of nursing
@@ScholasticaUgboka thank you so much for your reply i am eally grateful,I want to study nursing her in Nigeria but I dont know if to go to a university or school of nursing
@@moch8846 School of Nursing is just 3 years after that you can start working or leave Nigeria. The 3 years program is recognized in UK and USA.
The university nursing program take a longer time. If you are not in a hurry then go for the university because you will get your nursing, midwifery, public health and BSC certificate on graduation
CAN DIPLOMA HOLDERS IN NURSING GET ADMISSION TO WORK IN UK
@@selfaayuma1219 definitely
Hi scholar sorry for asking this now,how did you prepare for the exams, like how long were you reading, what were u doing, things like that... please I need your help
I cant really say how long specifically but the CBT is very easy to pass, you only need to study with the right materials and most times I do this when I'm on working (night shift). So I'd say probably 2 weeks to a month is enough to study for the CBT. The ielts however is another ball game and you have to keep studying and writing until you get the scores you need.
Thank you
Please do I have to pay the £140 before contacting the nursing council in Nigeria for verification
The £140 is your NMC UK assessment fee, without paying it NMC uk will not contact NMCN for your license verification. So while it is ok to inform NMCN that you are expecting NMC uk to get in touch with them on your behalf before paying the money, NMC uk will not ask NMCN for your verification until you pay
@Scholastica Ugboka
Are you able to work as a Registered Nurse Midwife in Northern Ireland. Are there jobs available? Can you register as both with the NMC? Thanks in advance
Yes there are jobs available but midwifery jobs are not very easy to come by. I'm working as a nurse in NI right now, Nursing and midwifery are different professions within NMC so you will have to do a separate application and write both CBT & OSCE for midwifery and another CBT and OSCE for nursing
@@ScholasticaUgboka thank you for your reply. I knew about doing two different applications for midwifery and nursing. Didnt know about the job availability though. Thanks again
What type of foodstuffs please?
African food
I really enjoyed this video...
Thank you
Must we bring blankets from home
No, it's not necessary. It will increase your luggage weight
Is living in NI expensive, and how do you make your hair there,
NI is very affordable. I mostly wear wigs.
You said it's not really necessary to come with all our Nigerian clothing, how about shoes?
You can bring one or 2 shoes .
shoes are actually cheap here plus you need a black comfortable low heel shoe for work.
Also about coming with a lot of foodstuffs, won't it affect the weight of ones luggage? Or does weight of luggage really do not matter?
@@enoessien2980 the weight of your luggage matters that is why I said you dont need to bring a lot of clothes. Bring foodstuffs instead.
Please how many times did you attempt IELTS?
3 times because I was looking for 7 in writing. Every other part was fine except writing, I kept getting 6.5
Is it a shared accommodation
No it's not.
Hi dear.. I'm from India..Will I Have To Buy a New Sim Card ?..if Yes,Then which one should I Prefer and How Much Will I Have To Spend?
Thank you ♥ ♥
Yes you have to buy a new sim card. There are different options so it would be better to choose one based on the best connectivity within your town. Sim cards are mostly free here but you have to pay for internet services which could range from £10 to £30 monthly.
I currently buy data for £30 which gives me 100 gigabyte and unlimited calls and texts to other uk numbers. Most times I dont exhaust the data even with heavy usage
Can a friend just help you get the Sim card before you arrive?
Hy,can you work two jobs for nursing home
Yes you can but majority of people get just one permanent job and pick up agency shifts when they are off. You will make more money this way because agencies pay almost double of what your employer pays you per hour
Scholastica please which part of the UK are you living in.
County Antrim
Do you know about West Yorkshire and its rent? Pls enlighten me
Where in the uk are you located
I'm in Northern Ireland
Hello Scholastic did u carry the 350 pounds in cash, like how did u do it

Hi, how can i help?
@@ScholasticaUgbokaGood evening, I need your help and guidance on how to secure a USA visa via working as a nurse, all the things that are involved .
I am interested to hear about 4bedroom house. In UK where you have been living
I live in a small town in County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
How many hours was the flight Lagos to London
The duration of the flight depends on different factors for example shorter flights are usually more expensive so the journey can be as short as 7 hours or as long as 22 hours.
Do you have a large black community where you are?
No I dont, I live in a small town in Northern Ireland very close to Belfast and we have very few blacks here. They are more in Belfast though
Hello, how can I reach you
