cool . we will do this with UNO .. i hope it works .. already made simple code to push some servos .. and printed the parts for this .. what sized screws did you use to assemble the armature?
was thinking of doing this for a college project, but cant seem to figure out the maths and algo behind it. Code and design files are available but was thinking about writing the code myself.....have studied up basic stuff on forward and inverse kinematics, 4 bar linkage, inverse kinematic equations of a 5 bar linkage but cant seem to be able to figure out how to make it follow a particular trajectory.....any sort of help would be appreciated
Piyush Menghani i know tis an old post but, i only recently stumbled over this... my plan is to build it, attach shaft encoders to the joints and then just write the numbers with it while data logging. Bugger the maths! Did you end up getting one going?
Nope, while they disrespect the creative commons licence by using without attribution, commercial use of the design is clearly permitted by CC-BY. As a project it is intended to be made and build using the open source files, since it is much more useful as a learning experience than as a clock.
@@MarinusMakesStuff there is a CC BY-NC (NC = non commercial) licence, that prohibits commercial use, which I did not choose specifically because I didn't want to sell the kit myself.
does it gives you the actual time? i mean, i can crealry see it takes more than one second to this robot to write the time from "00 - 14" to "00 - 15" 00:40 Awesome concept BTW i want it so much *o*
It's counting each second.... but takes much longer than a second to write the number. 10/10 cuteness. 0/10 practicality.
That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, this is just amazing 😊
This is why the machines will rise up against us one day.
I almost feel sorry for that little guy.
I feel bad for it. It's like a horrible little slavish existence.
You're assigning a cognitive presence to an inanimate object?
Now _I_ feel bad.
Good, we can feel bad no reason together!
Why do you assume it's an inanimate object? Demonstrate one way in which its existence is fundamentally different from yours.

I have no words. You've done it. This made my entire week :)
if i had it i would just sit and watch it for hours!
That's probably the cutest robotic clock I've ever seen!! (Hope you don't mind if one tries to rebuild it)
"I've got it written down on a piece of paper."
Nice Goon Show reference!
"What is my purpose"
You pass the butter.
"Oh dear god"
Yeah welcome to the club buddy.
This is *exactly* what I was thinking
Really awesome clock! Well done. Analog + Digital + Robots!!
nobody with a bad job wants to look at a clock unless its at the end of the day. i feel bad for this little guy.
It wants perfection. Welcome to the first OCD clock in the world
Awesomeness of simplicity
This should be an etch-a-sketch instead of a dry erase board.
THE ROBOT HAS BETTER HANDWRITING THAN ME!!!
i'm so happy this exists
This clock is acting out my days at work.
Ich könnte die ganze Zeit abfeiern! Die beste Uhr aller Zeiten!
I find this to be really cool with having an EET/Programming background. So I find this to be AWESOME!! =)
A robot that writes numbers worse than me? Seems like a step back imo
Pure greatness :)
coooooooool, i can watch this robot for days =D
I can't help but feel a bit sorry for the clock
Cool! Looks like something out of the animated fantasia movie.
excellent
The robotic equivalent of Sisyphus - forever plot the time only to find it erased afterwards. :D
good one...
Would not be better if the robot just erase one number? the one that needs to be updated?
+Daniel Epikuros that wont bring this cuteness :) it will make it soo robotic now its like a kid. #Chappie
What a philosophical topics!!!
Like my life!

Good Job Guys
Lovely.
I wish if i can have one.
Amazing!
This is fucking adorable!
Bravo!
It's a wonderful creation! :) (Y)
It's Roboclock!
Finally something worthwhile comes out from the technological advances =)
I think that it is tired. So it can be compared with people who are constantly working on. Everyone needs time to rest. The idea is worthy of respect!
so cute
might be better if it used a magnetic drawing board (doodle board) so a marker that needs replacing is not needed, but this is AMAZING!!!!!!
Excellent :-)
Zaujimave...
Awesome!
omg, that is the coolest clock i have ever seen.. im off to build one (without a 3d printer :P )
Why does it erases whole... can't it just erase the numbers which are to be changed?
Love it! Blueprints please!
It's kind the freak !
very cool
good job ^^
As an under-grad engineer, I would love to know how to make this!
Have you thought about having it only erase and change the last digit?
I don't know, I kinda like that it does the whole thing over again every time.
It's soooo cute!
Awesome

great
Bem simples mas Muito criativo
Parabens
This is really cool. Only need some minor improvement.
Cute.
cool~
Do not look down at those tiny little invention, they might become a great useful invention after improvement
shut up and take my money
how long will a marker last at normal speed?
Is it bad that I think that thing is cute
cool!
Do you can share the code used on arduino ??
Make a kit I'll buy it
would work better if it just change the number that counts
FUCK THIS IS GOOD
Shut up and take my money!!!
EPIC
Időt rajzoló robot, tetszik! :)
#tw

Can I get this for my wrist?
O.K.
interesante
neat!!!
Should have made it only erase the numbers that need to change

Really cool but they should slow it down so it it writes the time accurately.

LOL!!!
