So great that supernanny highlighted that so many kids are being misdiagnosed with ADHD when actually it’s that they weren’t taught boundaries, self soothing, how to occupy themselves etc when young. This just dilutes the needs of kids who really do have ADHD.

I have three children; when my daughter was born, I had three under 5. It was hard, but we got through it. We could go to shops, eat out, travel, do anything almost because we did those things often. My children learned very young that there are ways to behave in public and we praised their achievements and even other people around us did too. I lost count of the times when strangers complimented our children’s behaviour. All you need is routine and consistency

I don't understand why parents have to put up with such behavior from children. My daughter once threw herself on the ground in the store, I told her, if you don't get up right away, I'll grab the braid and lift you up. She never did the same after that.

What do you mean by braid? Like hair?

Tf??? That’s bad lazy parenting. You could threaten to not buy her toys or something/talk to her not physically ab-se your child.

So instead of teaching her how to regulate her emotions, you taught her to be afraid of you? That’s even worse parenting than these people are guilty of.
