Let's say a team is stealing signals. Do you know how hard it is to actually wait for an offense to get their signal in, steal it, decipher it, relay it to your defense signaler, the defense signaler then has to signal it to the players on defense, and then the defense all have to adjust within the 40 second play clock. How many countless times have we seen offenses not even get the play called in until the last five seconds or so. This is absolutely ridiculous regardless of whether they did it or not.

Nick Saban was given a virtual pass to cheat by the ncaa. The ncaa needed a dynasty and I firmly believe the ncaa, or eSECspn was behind it. The ncaa was probably told by espn to shut up and turn a blind eye to it. There's no other logical reason why you wouldn't investigate a team that's won title after title and not think there was something fishy going on. He's not a good coach. Look at his NFL days. If rosters are equal, he loses. He can't win unless he's got a huge talent advantage over his opponents.
Now that I know about this rule, I'm going to be watching for college scouts. "Hey! Why aren't you cheering for either team? I don't see a press badge!"
Love them or hate them, Michigan doing well is good for college football and for the Big 10. Same for Ohio State the past 10+ years, and the resurrection of Georgia, and other teams popping their heads up, like Tennessee last year, Washington, Florida State, USC. As such, the NCAA targeting teams for infractions that many teams are guilty of and the benefits of said infractions are minor at best, means the NCAA no longer cares about the sport. They have lost so much power that their only hope is to scare the other programs into submission by targeting a high profile program/coach. Thus they can keep their power. If the other colleges would stand up to the NCAA and say enough, maybe something positive could come of this. At some point the NCAA will target another high profile team to flex their muscles. This will not end Michigan and/or Harbaugh.
And when USC got caught, they forfeited games (and a Heisman) and lost a coach, Ohio State lost a coach, forfeited a chance at a Natty (a B1G Championship and a Bowl Game win). Stop whining.
Yeah right. What's the upside of illegally scouting Rutgers, Nebraska, Minnesota, state? Really? All teams MI rolled. NCAA has it out for Harbaugh and MI for some reason.

Many viewers don't understand. It is not against the rules to study film of opponents and to figure out opponents' signals. The rule is that college staffers can't attend opponent games in person and record it. They have to use video provided by other services.
Oh, I see. You can watch hundreds of hours of videos and get information from that but you can't send anyone under staff to scout the other team to prepare it in person and record it? Please tell me what the difference is?
The only way the investigation is even remotely justified is if they’ve been secretly recording practices of teams they’re fixing to play. No issue with watching game film and finding them or stealing signs in game.
Pay attention to the story! He sent scouts to watch games of teams they were scheduled to play this season. Not game film. They were watching play call signals so they could know what was coming ahead of the play. Same as the Patriots with spygate.
My only concern is if these allegations affect their season. I want the best of every team on the field all year so we'll have the best CFB season possible... before the sport is ruined by 12 team play-off.
Well Schiano was hinting towards it last week at halftime and then all this came out a couple days later so other coaches must have spoke up to get the NCAA to jump on this like they have.

Ohio state already said that they changed their signs prior to getting their ass whipped worse at home.
That's not the point. Stop with the excuses.
@@Buckiz what is the point? That you can steal signals in person, or steal signals by watching numerous other videos sources from previous games, BUT a team cannot do it in person? And the difference is what? The rule is the rule as dumb as it may be. If Michigan is found to be guilty of the rule violation, then they should pay the consequences.
The rule was designed in 1994 because smaller schools were complaining that they didn't have the financial sources to send people to scout games across the country. This was way before our technology, the internet, etc ...really existed. Again, if Michigan broke this stupid arcaic rule, then they should be punished.
@@Michael-rx6ji It's the rule. Get a petition going to get the rule changed. As of today you cannot scout future opponents as a part of the staff in person.
I don't see what the problem is. And I don't see how you can't tell the difference.
@@Buckiz apparently you can't read and understand English to well (in Ohio) That's ok. In my response to your ignorance , I did acknowledge the existing rule and said if they did break it, then they should pay. Currently, these are allegations. Just like if someone were to allege you have a thimble sized brain, doesn't mean it's true. I guess in America these days, people are guilty until proven innocent, especially in the public opinion with social media.
@@Buckiz Additionally, you are ignorant to the fact if you don't think teams go scout opponents in person. Many reputable players, former players, and coaches have said on National TV, ALL teams do it. I am NOT saying it's right, so don't try to act high and mighty that the SUCKeyes don't do it too
Everyone does this..........this is just dumb
Everybody sends people to opponents games to record their signals so they can have an advantage in their future game? Huh. I didn't know
@@billytuesday4492its legit no different Then watching film its so dumb dude
No, not everyone does this. Laziest defense of this garbage.
“Everyone cheats! Therefore, wrong is right and the NCAA is mean for saying otherwise!”

Signs of a Michigan man.
“We do things the right way, we don’t win because we refuse to go low like all those other clowns” UM fans pre-2021
“Everybody does it it’s no big deal, witch hunt” UM fans today
If everyone does it them everyone else would do a total 360 in one year
They will b watching Michigan forever
I am 100% an Ohio State fan and cannot stand TUN. However, I do not buy into this cheating crap. If they are doing it, it’s not cheating because coaches at all levels always do this. I don’t think it’s a morally correct thing to do, but it’s not cheating in my opinion. Go Bucks!
They weren't done from the last investigation!
Great take Josh!
We don't care about sign stealing when everyone and their brother knew or suspected? Lol, Jim is done. This is cheating.
I’ll give you a name James Franklin cause he did the same thing in the SEC when he coached at Vanderbilt.
Y’all just can’t leave michigan alone because they are the best in the ncaa why don’t y’all investigate nick saben or Kirby smart
Sounds like someone on the inside isn't happy to me.
Ok.
Not accurate
Lol Michigan moves the needle NONE. How delusional. Your coach and program is done for.
And when USC got caught, they forfeited games (and a Heisman) and lost a coach, Ohio State lost a coach, forfeited a chance at a Natty (a B1G Championship and a Bowl Game win). Stop whining.
fuck-knuckle @@1pardoner
NCAA is Brian Dennehy from First Blood
Stealing signs during game is fine, sending staffers to future opponents games is illegal and recording signs is a MAJOR violation.
Yeah right. What's the upside of illegally scouting Rutgers, Nebraska, Minnesota, state? Really? All teams MI rolled. NCAA has it out for Harbaugh and MI for some reason.
My thoughts exactly.
Did Josh say that everyone committs multiple crimes a day? Wtf is he talking about? Geez, really trying to give Jimmy a pass without any information.
Yes… Not a very good take at all. This what CBS puts out now? Multiple crimes? What??
@@1pardonerThis is a well known saying that has some truth to it that each and every day we all are unknowingly doing something unlawful and some people do multiple things. We just don't know they are illegal but we are doing it nonetheless.
In 2022 Michigan outscored PSU, MSU and OSU 69-6 in the second halves. Did Michigan use the first half as proof of their intel and make adjustments at the second half?
Or maybe they saw the first half and made adjustments on that
Just a thought
Why would Michigan wait until the second half to implement that?
Those are no fail games. If your going to use the intel, use it in the first half then take your foot off the brakes when you clinch the win
Since teams change their signals and have different signal packages, different indicators, they want to confirm that they are using signal package 3 this game. If they don't do this they could put their D in bad situations to get blown out in the first half. @@Mmmmmk247
To confirm what signals are being called so they don't put their D is a worse situation. At halftime you can get all of your coaches together and download what they had learned about the signals. @@Win4Cheesily
Its not like we have the technology to put a mic in the players helmets.
Heres something i TRULY hope isnt true but has been on my mind for a while now..
Its soo clear that Harbaugh is HATED by our athletic director... now as its coming out that the president of the university has gone around him in the past to talk to Harbaugh. Now harbaughs contract is supposed to be getting worked on during this bye week... and SUDDENLY weird obscure allegations are being made against them ... and the A.D is nowhere to be found to talk about it. I may be thinking too much into this but.. its bothering me ALOT
Why is it even against the rules? Who is the ncaa to tell people who can come watch games? Stupid rule
💀
Scouts can come watch other games but they’re not supposed to film the sideline.
It’s the filming you idiots seem to keep forgetting.
@@di114n2 No they can't come watch other games. There's 2 exceptions to that rule. One is if they are playing at the same venue as you. The other is championship games.
Investigative reporters who didn't present any facts
Many viewers don't understand. It is not against the rules to study film of opponents and to figure out opponents' signals. The rule is that college staffers can't attend opponent games in person and record it. They have to use video provided by other services.
Which is really stupid
Oh, I see. You can watch hundreds of hours of videos and get information from that but you can't send anyone under staff to scout the other team to prepare it in person and record it? Please tell me what the difference is?
And if any team is that stupid to use the same signal calling every single week deserves to lose on that merit alone
NCAA petty
Michigan cheaters.
Their goofy bylaw doesn't seem to make that distinction.
@@MoneyIsSilver yeah it just lacks common sense from what has gone on in the sport for as long as I can remember
@@rockytopronnie That is done by literally every team lmao.
@@JamesKovacs Nobody is sending scouts to future opponents games trying to gain an unfair advantage. You have no proof. So stop making excuses.
My only concern is if these allegations affect their season. I want the best of every team on the field all year so we'll have the best CFB season possible... before the sport is ruined by 12 team play-off.
Sarah mcglocklin special 😂😂😂
Well Schiano was hinting towards it last week at halftime and then all this came out a couple days later so other coaches must have spoke up to get the NCAA to jump on this like they have.
So let me get this straight. You can sit there and watch hundreds of hours of video on an opponent but you can't sit there and watch them in person? Please...
So Five star players can "earn" 7 figures via NIL...to work..err...play for a university. And that's NOT a competitive advantage?? Yet the NCAA turns a blind eye. The hypocrisy is ludicrous.
So instead of the NCAA. Who does everyone want to police these teams. Plus we need to get a hold of all this nil stuff. Before it gets out of hand. I love my Buckeyes. But not many other schools have money like us. There are some but we could literally buy anyone on the recruiting trail.
Rumor has it Chris partridge and Mike Elston was seen at Washington game
ncaa is a freekin joke. They have no reason to exist in this world of sport.
Why does it feel like someone's got it out for Michigan or Michigan's Head Coach
Why can’t we do electronic signal communication like the NFL. We don’t need radio buckets, but you could wear a wristband to receive messages or something. So many ways around this
Kind of funny that they didn't know they were playing TCU and couldn't stop them . Didn't have the opportunity? I don't know but they stopped everyone who they knew was on the schedule.
I would have to say it's funny how TCU had two pick sixes and it's almost like they knew exactly that JJ was going to throw that ball to that guy in that route
Why is this even against the rules? And dont tell me to protect small schools. It doesnt cost that much to send someone to a dozen cfb games in a season. Any program can afford that
Bruh harbaugh has never been accused of this in his entire career! 😂 Knock it off, Michigan is like the Yankees or Lakers, in that nobody wants to see them winning.
They now have receipts.
Looks like they got ticket purchases to 30 games and surveillance video from cameras in the stadiums of sideline recording from a identified staff member of the U of M
I heard Michigan was watching film on opponents as well…. More suspensions coming
Do people not read beyond the headlines? It’s not sign stealing.
Just about every NCAA program plays as close to the line that they can. It's inevitable that some will eventually cross that line. Why be surprised.
How many times do you need to hear this stuff from Michigan?
yall mad af Michigan dominating right now huh?
It’s such garbage Josh
Rules are stupid! Who needs them right
The NCAA is a IRS if you piss them off 😂🤣
Coach Harbaugh is an honorable man and I believe him.. this is a Vendetta started by Ryan Day through the NCAA.
Small town sheriff is the perfect comparison
It explains why Michigan has been able to beat OSU these past two years with the adjustments they made in the second half. Just like Houston and New England did a few years ago.
Ah yes, bc the Michigan offensive line was only obliterating the Ohio State defense because of sign stealing.... You realize the sign stealing only applies to one side of the ball right? This had nothing to do with OSU giving up 40+ points each game.
Try again to come up with another excuse.
@@Jon.A.Scholt Harbough is gone after this season. Sitting out against three High School Teams does not count. He is not going to want to play a real schedule come next year. He cheated and that is an edge. There is no other way to spin it.

B1G reaction to this indicates it is very serious. Totally explains how Michigan did an about-face from mediocrity starting in 2021.
Or is it because they have the best QB they have had in 15 years, putting multiple 1st rounders in the NFL draft the last 2 years and having talent all throughout the roster?
@dutty721307 The cheating was mainly on the defensive side folks are saying.
Wouldnt suprise me if it came out to be true. The thing is ncaa is tired of covering for Michigan and its coach. Mr. Pate saying I dont know they may have done it while also complainimg about the ncaa investigating is a pathetic democrat move.
