    I read about the control with the reversed card under the deck 45 years ago in the wonderful book by Frank Garcia "Super Suptle Card Miracles" under the title "Reversed Card idea". I still use this control today, it is just great and so simple. As Frank Garcia writes: Just say "Oops".
    Thanks for your great videos, I wish we had this 50 years ago. Well, my teachers were called: Books, Magic Conventions, Books, Magic Clubs, Books and Books again.
    By the way, Frank Garcia's books are ALL absolutely great, I still perform tricks that I had the pleasure of learning from him.

    Wow.. just wow.. these are some really good moves to help out.
    When I do an in-jog I tend to be sloppy (on purpose).. but that first in-jogged card is their selection. and on top of that I'll have out jogs, other in jogs etc. Then I can cut to any of the jogs, move them down to simulate mixing the deck more until I finally get to their card on top and if it's absolutely needed, continue shuffling putting their card to the bottom. Still being messy, get a peak at the bottom and do the same series of cuts I did before keeping everything on the up n up. Card can be controlled or lost into the deck during the process and that totally depends upon the way I wish to reveal. Thank you for sharing this gold mine Sean! :)

    I've often messed around with ideas like that classic pass one you did. I will purposefully pause in the middle of the move..talk, gesture, generally misdirect using those and then when I've literally created an offbeat or moment of low attention I will complete the pass, sometimes shuffling in the way you did, sometimes with an apparent cut to the table - which I bring attention to as opposed to trying to HIDE a pass. People are persuaded to think I am openly showing them everything and so they assume there can be no 'moves' going on when actually the main move is happening exactly when they look at me supposedly cutting the cards.
    There really are SO MANY ways to do this it makes me laugh when People claim the pass is crap or it cant be invisible and so is useless...firstly it isnt crap, as you covered pretty well in the video. As for it being invisible...anything can be virtually invisible if no one is looking when it is executed, right?! Or if it is disguised as something else, like a cut, and the audience is almost asked to stare at the moment of execution. Then it is invisible too because the actual move has disappeared and is replaced with a move they think they know to be innocuous and innocent! There you go - invisible pass!

    Really really like you and your content, but I gotta say, either I’m slow, or you are the worst teacher. There are no other cardmagic tutorials on RUclips that require me to rewatch and rewatch and rewatch certain scenes, often even slowed down, to get what it is you’re doing. Maybe consider taking more time to explain stuff than you are doing now?

    • @SeanDevine
      @SeanDevine  Год назад

      Which scene in particular?

    • @vi5ionary
      @vi5ionary Год назад

      @@SeanDevine huge props for replying on a video from 8 months ago. As I said, I like both you and your content, so I’m open to the possibility that I’m simply not good enough to get your stuff. And I get even more annoyed at tutorials that are ‘too slow’ and keep repeating obvious stuff.
      Anyway, with the greatest respect, it’s eg 2:40, or 4:20. At 9:00 I’d forgotten which force we were even talking about.
      And then 12:21: I didn’t get that at all, even after re-watching several times - why would I wanna count past their number of cards? Isn’t the point of the double deal to hide the one extra card on top of their chosen one? Why would I do several doubledeals, thereby potentially hide their chosen card? Because that’s what the instruction sounds like to me?

      @@vi5ionary I went back and watched the things you referenced in the timestamps. Perhaps the things I am saying is what is confusing you? I'll admit this video isn't really intended for a beginner. You'd have to understand what and Erdnase Break is in order to grap the tip I gave on it. A bit of reading in the magic literature would open so many doors for you. I recommend Expert Card Technique! Anything by Dai Vernon, Ed Marlo, Larry Jennings, Bruce Cervon, Ernest Earick, Simon Aronson, and John Bannon is all gold material.
