- Lately I've been going against more subtle cheaters in DBD who are trying to ban evade by not blatantly hacking in games. Cheating is cringe but subtle cheating is even weirder, spread the word.

Yep. “Bully squad” wannabes who think I don’t know what lag switching is.
Easiest way to tell is if you are chasing between loops and you get almost no distance.
The subtle ones are togglers. They learn how to customize their cheats to make it seem very natural with just enough of an advantage to keep them under the radar, or so they believe. They could do this for many reasons. Boosting a low rank friend to high MMR or just for sheer entertainment to piss people off and anything in between. They will turn off said cheats whenever they want when situations don’t need it.
For me personally, the ONLY time I think cheating in a game is fine is when it's a single player game and when you've already beaten it once legit. You know, back when games had cheat codes that you would find in a cheat code book in your schools book fair in 2007.
OMG RIGHT!!! Now when I see cheaters on online modes… just why bro. I thrive to get better naturally, I will never take shortcuts. After beating some of my single player games being young, it was so fun to replay the magic and customize it almost.
I think some of the people who woul cheat in souls games to make pesudo- boss fights was pretty cool. They would actually balance the encounter and fight like a legit boss would. Cheating in multiplayer games isn't inherently bad, but sadly most that do it aren't being creative in that way.

@@kanyumski Yeah, like MW2 lobbies to make the game actually fun? Or TF2 lobbies to give everybody double move speed. Hacking the game so YOU can win is inherently bad. Hacking the game to make a dead game fun isn't. I've had some of the most fun playing on hacked lobbies with some friends.
Again DBD is so easy to game to cheat in. The game doesn't have any basic checks to see how fast can you be, how fast you can heal or anything else really. You can instafix a gen and the game is ok with it.
Also you can be flying in the game and it doesn't care what so ever.
DBD has ZERO anti-cheat and I hate that they spent their time balancing the game and making new killers when they should be making sure that no cheating is possible.
True, it always puzzles me when there’s many simple ways to prevent cheats by checking what You listed
eehm as a cheat developer and just a programmer over all this is not true and true... even if they do get a good anti cheat there are almost always ways to bypass it... i mean i did a r6 cehat where you could noclip and fly + 1 tap everyone anywhere on the map through how many walls you want. cheats will always be a thing but YES its really easy to cehat in dbd if you gave me 2 weeks i could probably make a worknig bypassing cheat
@@isaactzh4619 Implementing basic game logs so you can reconstruct the game or simply calculate when and where everybody is and whats affecting what gets rid of 90% of blatant cheaters.
Also since there are infinite deadhards and flaslights, it means the cheaters are capable of directly manipulating states of perks.
Basic checklist could compare if someone deadharded more then once within normal time period.
The game doesnt even attempt to do any of these...
Of course its never that simple, but his has been going on years and ZERO imrovement has been witnessed.
It has gone to a point where cheaters can do anything they want knowing they will never get cought if there is no video evidence.
@@Diglo1 there are also those who cheat and have like 2000 of each ultra rare and rare item /infinite currency. There was a survivor on my team yesterday with TTV and when I went on their stream they admitted to using cheats to get infinite items , and stated “80-90% of the player base cheats” lol

The only reason you'll have the idea that the game is "killer sided" is that you focus less on objective [doing gens] and do everything else. But that's just my view. You got yours & I have mine. I'll never understand the appeal of cheating in this game. If it's to make themselves feel better than the killer, that also makes no sense because it just shows that they're worse than them? It's very odd to me.
some Guy - wants to bully killer because all the funny vids theyve seen. Also guy - gets destroyed by killer so he downloads cheats and gets destroyed anyway.
while i don't personally cheat in dbd, i still know that cheaters usually have different reasons to cheat, if i myself ever cheat in a game i do it to piss people off, which is one reason a lot of cheaters cheat in games, it's to get people really angry, of course not everyone is like this and there are some cheaters who cheat without trying to piss anyone off and either hide the fact they cheating or don't either way i don't understand why those people cheat, but it may be due to frustration with the game itself, dbd makes really shitty updates, shitty unloopable killers and what not so maybe some people get fed up with all the shit bhvr pulls, and release their frustration with the game by cheating

I'm a huge fan of modding but for games that are singleplayer, for example Skyrim or just other games like Dark Souls to and many other games. It's super enjoyable, but when it becomes a harmful way by using cheats to go faster it's super unfortunate to see, I hope BHVR steps up sooner or later lmao
Don´t get your hopes up about BHVR, they are ran by an arrogant man child with his head stuck up where the sun does not shine.
I 100% agree these people are cheating, but I've also noticed there's an increase of people accusing others of cheating when not applicable.
A friend and I were in a game recently with two randoms. The killer didn't keep up gen pressure at all and committed really hard to chases. I know my friend personally kept them looped for 2 - 3 gens or so. There was some gen rushing, which isn't fun, but it was hard not to with the killer being caught up in long chases the whole game. I think in total the match only lasted 5 minutes? But at some point when I was in a chase with the killer, they hit me mid-vault. I run lithe and with the hit speed, I went zooming afterward like usually happens. This managed to get me good enough distance and we all made it out that match.
In the end game chat the killer was convinced we were all cheating, specifically me for my boost of speed after the vault. I tried explaining to no avail. :c I definitely think cheaters are a problem, especially the very subtle ones. I've run into a few. But I think people need to really look and analyze matches before flinging the term cheater around. I think the whole mess with cheaters has just made a lot of people paranoid about it now too.
you notice it more with m1 killers than any other killers due to the difference between killer who have to work for it vs killers that have no game skill at all to play, those speed movements I have noticed them a lot now, like yesterday got into a match with 4 survivors at the main menu I saw a flashlight so I switched on lightborn saw them change the character off so I switched lightborn off only for them to switch 3 flashlights on at the last second to me there was no way they knew to do that because of the way it looked it seemed like they were hacking to know which perks I am running and that is why they did it and the whole game I tried hitting them with my lunge but despite the close distance I still missed somehow and then they all somehow get perfect accuracy with flashlight stuns which is impossible, so now by default I run Franklins no matter what on any character I play franklins is my go to, and I bring curshed coin sometimes, last night I got so pissed at the gen rushing so I brought the most greasiest anti gen build on my legion and moried all 4 survivors slowly over the course of the game with only 2 gens completed, there was one game where I was patrolling generators and none of them had progress on them nor admitting any gen noises and suddenly it popped I still ended up winning but that is a hack if I walk by a gen with full volume and I don't hear a gen noise and it randomly pops that is cheating, or like how I spend less than 80 seconds in chase one person on one gen and it suddenly pops like bruh... the game for survivors is brain dead.

That's the worst park of the subtle cheaters issue, how can you even tell when them just slightly speed themselves up, BHVR better do something because not even the Ring dlc will bring me back if stability and cheating is not addressed openly by BHVR.
@@tibortoth9796 It takes 80 seconds per person per gen correct? well if a second survivor sits on the gen with them it increases the gen repair speed ESPECIALLY if they are running prove thyself, to me if two or more people are on the same gen and my discordance is constantly going off every chase and I get two hooks and the survivors are just gen to gen to gen and they are able to get them all done before I get a good snowball going its called gen rushing, two people to the same gen is gen rushing Idc what you wanna say about it but if I can lose 2 to 3 gens in one chase the gen speeds are broken and before you ask I am talking a legit 80 second chase if that depending on who is on generators now I do run my gen slow downs but that doesn't help against the current COH meta we are in where people can insta heal.
@@tibortoth9796 Don't bother lol. I used to SWF with this guy. It's always somebody elses fault with him. If he's playing killer, it doesn't matter that he's playing Pig with no anti-gen perks (he thinks Blood Favor is an S tier perk btw), it doesn't matter he over-commits to chases all the time, it doesn't matter he just follows the survivor and never mind-games. He's the best player in the world, and they're just hacking. Gen rushing to him is just "Survivors doing gens quicker than what I want them to." If he doesn't 4k, its the games fault, and they're just a bunch of cheaters.
What's really funny is how he says the game for survivors is brain dead, but he also can't play survivor. He gets unhooked, fully heals, does a totem and a gen then says he gets tunneled next down. Can't stay in chase for longer than 30s. Every killer is braindead, even when it's a high-skillcap killer like Nurse. Oh, and the famous VPN callout. The second he gets any pokos hit, the killers using a VPN. J man buddy. Maybe stop worrying about hackers, and start worrying about getting a job and getting out of mommy's basement.
They only use the in-game report system if you follow up with a ticket on the website. I've gotten a couple cheaters banned recently. It might not stop them, but it does cost them a couple dollars for each account they buy from G2A. That enough is a win for me. (You have to use the ingame report button as well as website for them to be banned.. which is kinda dumb)
I played on PS4 today and somehow I self cared for a second then ran and while i was running I suddenly was fully healed. Starting to think theres wierd bugs aswell.
hackers can insta heal others in the match as well, it's happened to me without self care / a medkit

Thanks for highlighting this .. just had a match earlier against a 4 stack that just were always an inch away of where I needed them to be, it felt like closing the distance was impossible. Combined with flashlight click macros on most of them made this really frustrating.

I remember watching her loop you at the Z wall on stream and it was very convincing for it to be Lithe on that point because I wasn't paying attention
She had 2 lithe like speed boosts in that chase. Even if they had lithe they still had it activate twice in a single chase which is impossible
I actually noticed this, I was playing freddy on lerrys and she just kept holding forward and didn't think much of it but it was actually impossible for me to catch up amd j never saw her once
Cheating sucks in games but in certain games using cheats is super fun. Like in call of duty a cheater modifies the match to where everyone gets to have fun and not just the cheater. But in dbd I've never seen a cheater make the game fun for everyone.
Subtle cheaters are what made me stop playing DBD after almost 4 years. The state of the game with gen speed, boons and strong loops made it hard enough, but I couldn't stand all the 2nd guessing I was doing when it came to being outplayed. And BHVR's refusal/inability to do anything about it make it that much worse.

I went against these cheaters about the same time as you I think. I mentioned them cheating in post game and the entire group flamed the fuck out of me, so watching this was really cathartic. Thank you.

Bro this messes with me like every game, something will be sus and I’m like dang was it (perk nobody runs) or someone cheating. Then there’s the guys you notice when you play a 110 killer that are barely slower than you and it’s like hmmm
60% of my games are with either plain cheaters or subtle cheaters that I forced to reveal themselves. Other 40% I was not able to push them hard enough or they were actually not cheating.

@@unr34L- I wish it would be the case... then again I did get multiple people banned since I had video evidence but it did take for ever. Making those cases takes too much time and I just stopped reporting and recoding all this circus at this point. Currently I stopped playing until they resolve the issue hopefully one day. Before quitting I did play as survivor as well and I saw a lot of cheaters as well. Its a bit easier to see when you have bond. Some of them also try to "Help" you by just healing you remotely etc. Its all a joke at this point. So I quit.

I’ve noticed that sometimes when I’m chasing someone as soon as they turn a corner they gain like 8 feet on me.
The fact about turning cross play off on consoles is you can, but it’s pointless. Cause you will never find a full lobby. On Xbox at least, you gotta keep crossplay on

What's sad is BHVR isn't cracking down on cheaters. They still get complete free reign and even if by some miracle they do get banned its known that cheaters can just unban themselves.

Had this recently as both survivor and killer.
As a survivor my teammate got downed, landed on top of a hook, and then immediately stood up, clicky clicked the killer and flew into the unopened exit gate and escaped.
Then as killer the survivor was going round one of those hay piles and they just managed to keep ahead of me by just enough no matter how much I just basically kept going forward, even with bloodlust
legit played against subtle cheaters 2 times in 2 hours. They even lost the game witch is just sad
Had a Demogorgan subtle cheater. We had a really strong start then he started attacking very quickly, faster than STBFL fast and walking incredibly fast. Wondered why my team killed themselves on hook. The last interaction I had was using balances landing to run away and he was still faster than me. Went to view game and he was bleeding out last survivor. Actually baffling that these people have a bad first 2 mins in game, get butt hurt and turn on the hacks.

DUDE like a month or 2 ago I was on midwich playing as elodie and the killer was leatherface, when he downed me for the first time like 2 seconds later I instantly got up. And I ran away from him for like 5 seconds and I somehow got fully healed. After that the rest of the gens got completed in like a minute. And the the killer DC'd. There were 2 neas that I think were hacking,I'm not sure. They were on a different platform (I'm on ps4, maybe they were on pc?). The leatherface was a ttv too, I feel like I should have said something to them, but I was too shocked at everything that happened that match.
I've seen that happen. The cheaters running scripts can actually make it look like other people are cheating. I had a match where they altered everyone's flashlight to be as bright as the sun. It was insane.
I was halfway expecting you to break chase from Tapp for a split second, only to bait a second DH for proof.
I recently faced a cheater for the first time, I couldn’t do much cause I was playing Pig. I immediately noticed that they were faster that me when I got into a chase and just decided to ignore them for the rest of the match. The rest of the lobby also knew about their cheating so I feel pretty vindicated
It was also just really funny seeing how fast they ran as I was dealing with others

What’s really not gonna help is this new boon. Because 2% speed is 100% something cheater would use. Now they can just hide it under a “boon”

I came back to the game after a 3 year hiatus, boot up as Spirit, and even being rank 20 I had three games with cheaters in them and I'd played fifteen. One was hilarious, personally, because they did all five gens and the exit gates in ten seconds and just left, while the other two were infuriating, but pretty blatant with their speed hacks. Makes me wonder just how many people actually play the game with cheats now, because if that's a rank 20's experience, then I can only imagine how bad it would be at rank 1, or as a streamer.
the other day I was playing nurse and I had two hackers in my lobby. They no clipped out side the exit door before it was open. but I had Barbecue & Chilli on and saw them out side. Blinked out there and got them lol
I once got hit in clown slow down thing during my sprint burts and the game bugged somehow out so i kept sprintburst for rest of the match nonstop active while running.
This is why I like nemesis to spot subtle cheaters since holding his whip out at tier 3 makes you move at the same speed as survivors so if they are gaining distance you know its either a haste effect or cheats, it can also help you hit them where your m1 would miss

I'm surprised it took anyone that long to notice you weren't closing any distance at all during some of those chases. Personally I've been noticing an uptick in subtle cheaters myself as well. Little things like less stagger than normal, running at them with Agitation and they're suddenly as fast as I am, frame perfect Dead Hards after several seconds of me on their back waiting them out, etc.
Im sure you saw but there were numerous times their speed stuttered fast to normal in chases. Most of which was just as they reached a pallet
I had one of these last game. At the start I was like, " Wait... Why is Jane running faster than me?" then I managed to bloodwarden and kill them all but these subtle hackers are increasing day by day

This is still a thing in dbd, yesterday i got a leon using DH three times in a row, private profile and random nick...
We have quite a number of those kind of players here in SEA region. They love to decorate their profiles saying they won their 'local DBD tournaments' but the whole lot of them are wallhacking and using subtle speedhacks like this. More like a tournament to see who can cheat more convincingly. And when they play killer, they go on a 4K roll every single game because they can obviously see where every survivor is all the time. It's a shame they're not banned till now.
This happened to me. This Nea brought me to the game as ghost face and I couldn’t catch up to her.

I faced 2 people who duo’d and used speed hacks. At one point i picked one up after the other one was recently unhooked across the map, and he teleported close by and blinded me for the save.
I love it when people cheat in the game, both subtle AND obvious, and they STILL lose the game. I had a Claudette about two days ago hacking. She sabotaged a hook instantly, not even finishing the animation, while carrying a medkit. I looked at the end game results and, sure enough, she did NOT have Saboteur either. She also went from having Deep Wound to fully healed in seconds. I also think she was using subtle speed hacks as her movement speed at times was a little too fast, but it was too hard to tell. Despite all her cheating, I still managed to sacrifice her.
I just wish I could report her properly and send the info into the devs since I have recorded evidence, but unfortunately being on console makes it beyond incredibly difficult. I would have to save the clip to a USB drive, upload it to a computer, then upload it to wherever I need. Unless anyone knows of an easier way to do it from a PlayStation console? I wish the devs would change or at least look into making it easier for us.
Just saw an Otzdarva video the other day of similar subtlr cheats on Dead Dawg Saloon.
Had this same exact thing happen to me but when i called them out they just played dumb its really outa hand when you get beat by cheaters and you know theyre cheating and they still have the nerve to say gg and act like they were legit

The worst part about these cheaters is they will give boosts to their teammates and so sometimes you don't know who's cheating I've got cheaters simply because I was on their team and realized I was wiggling off to fast
there's nothing more infuriating than taking 10-15 minutes out of your life to properly submit a report ticket on their website with evidence just to get shut down by a copy-paste response, and the cheater running away unpunished.
I actually think I went up against some subtle cheaters last night, had a super intense match as Trapper at Meat Plant and had the following happen:
-Devour got broke within 10 seconds of the game starting
-literally every trap across the map was disarmed en masse and for most of them I didn't even get a visual or audio notificaton, just chasing survivors only to find that every single trap I placed everywhere was disarmed.
-had a cocky Jake who literally had the best pallet stun timing i've ever seen in my 2700+ hours of gameplay, maybe even better than otz,
-the same feng who broke my devour totem somehow managed to 4% off the hook just as I was picking up the last survivor.
They still lost but like god damn dude, within 2 minutes of the game 8 traps I had placed were disarmed and I didn't even know, I guess you could argue that they were good at the game and lucky, but thinking back on it that was pretty sus.
That is why you should run a recording software, it really takes away a lot of the second guessing since it can help you see how things really played out now when you have all the time in the world.
There have been cases where i thought something was incredibly suspicious, but after viewing the recording there were some small detail that i had missed in the middle of all the action that explains it, or sometimes you find evidence of someone actually cheating that you can then upload.
Got a cheater yesterday a nemesis using almost all perks in the game had 5 ruins each took too long to cleanse and said he had more IDs cause guy was playing on EGS
I've gone against 3 or 4, one with speed hacks, one who got a generator from 20% to 90% in 5 seconds without a toolbox by himself, and the other two opening exits gates faster than normal.

I'd much rather encounter the cheaters that are blatantly cheating for everyone too see, than these closeted cheaters.
I play survivor with my partner and she plays on console and the amount of times she has been accused of *subtle speed hacking* is pretty funny
Usually CoconutRTS has a followup after reporting them, you'd be surprised how many of them get banned after you have the video evidence. (the answer is more than half, so I'd say it's definitely worth it to ban as many of their accounts as possible)
The sad reality is these cheaters typically have dozens of accounts because of the free Epic Store promotion. Seriously, somebody needs fired for approving that.

They reason people cheat on video games, they suck at them and want to be in the top % but once caught they always have an excuse of I'm bored at the game and want to spice it up. In reality they are just bad and don't want to take the time and effort to actually be good and stuff.

Played as the killer for the first time in ages. Chased down a Claudette who was running faster than I was
They do look. I reported a subtle cheater, sent them a youtube link to a vid and the account got banned. Went back a week later and it was marked as resolved and the steam account was banned. They just don't confirm if the account was banned or not, but Steam displays it on their profile.
I caught a subtle cheater 2 minutes into a match today. Well, didn't catch them but knew one of them had to be. Was doctor and two minutes in I see illusionary doctors after shocking everyone that I body blocked in a corner and they scammed. Well I then see illusionary doctors on the roof of the preschool and on the roof of one of the other buildings. I decided to not entertain it and just let them do their thing and waited for the end game to confirm. Sure enough everyone left but a Kate stayed behind and at the gate began spamming screams and her dying animation with instant revives before flying away at like 200% speed.
Imagine having the best gaming chair just to lose couldn’t be me 🤣
i've had 2 dead hard on one survivor and ds perk where they didn't even equip that perk
oh that Yui was actually not touching the ground for a lot of your chase. She was running just above the ground if you look at the animation it starts about when you complain about her being fast.
i had 2 games back 2 back yesterday, where i encountered people hacking for the first time. in both game's they were speedhacking. and yes i am 100% sure of it, they outran me on a straight with bloodlust. i went back and watched my vod and it was even more obv on loops. on top of that, they may have been Wallhacking aswell but i couldnt tell for sure.

I had a two games in a row last night where I literally couldn’t catch anyone we literally just ran a loop forever and never got them. It was insane. I’m not the best, but something was definitely fishy.
Killers do it, too; some are so fast that it makes no sense.

At 2:12, the Yui uses a speed hack, because you can't see her, and used that hit to hide the activation of said hack.
Its ridiculously common. The MMR system actually exposes them a bit because of how it works with each killer. Only thing it's really useful for. If there wasn't a cheating problem in this game, then yeah, maybe the system would work better. It would still need a lot of work though.
But the fact that the supposed anticheat doesn't even catch the blatant ones makes it very clear there's no hope to catch the subtle ones. Like seriously, the anticheat can run server side checks, know the max boost everyone can have based on perks and items brought into the trial. Anything that goes over that limit is flagged and suspended for review or banned if overtly blatant.
I’ve been playing for several months and have not run into subtle cheaters(to my knowledge) or blatant cheaters and thankfully not the t-1000 robots
Subtle speed hackers are fairly easy to expose.
You will just notice immediately if they run familiar structures like shack or LT-walls. I just know the timing and distance, they should get, after me vaulting the window just after them.
If they are running in a straight line to a far distanced pallet, you should trust your instincts. With some experience it's actually quite easy to estimate if you catch up to someone in time or not. If you are much farther behind then in your expectations they are probably cheating.
Many of these also use wall hacky. Then they never show themselves when waiting at a corner, because they will always know you're coming around a corner beforehand.
Lately I had a cheater with probably 110% and wall hacks. He played very weird, just going around the very outside (on both sides) of shack. But I couldn't catch up to them at all. They didn't even need to vault the window. I wasn't even gaining bloodlust because I barely saw them around the corner.
The fact that they denied the cheats in end game chat is just rediculous.
Just experience 3 cheaters so far but for what I've noticed is that the cheaters that I encountered are the survivors from Stranger Things(Nancy & Steve). Just found it quite interesting 🤔🤔
The speedhackers use the mouse to turn, look how at their turning speed. The hack only gives them speed if they press the W key. Also look at their legs, the animation is faster than normal, easier to spot.
They look you can submit a ticket in addition they will look over it. This got some people baned.
bro been seeing these things for a while. i just assumed i was bad. now im just 90% bad.
to report for them to do something submit a ticket with the clip of the incident either clip it when it happens or make one out of the highlights. they are doing things when you have video proof.
