Hi Norma, great video. There are so many more pros on visiting Las Vegas than cons, in my opinion. That's why I am always there. Thanks for the wonderful tips and advice, which is always helpful. Don't look at it.
Another entertaining and informative video wrapped up in a perfect package. Or is that by a perfect package? 🦋😁 Seeing you makes my head spin and my heart ach-e (in a good way). Happy to be sharing this perfectly round shaped planet with you.♥️
I come to vegas at least 5 times a yr for the last 15 yrs.. You are so right and on the Dot with EVERYTHING on this video! This is why I love watching you. ❤
Wish I could go that often! I'm jealous! Usually it's just once a year at most for me. Although last year was great - I went in both September (alone) and in October (with friends).
Good timing for this video for me. I've been to LV twice for business and came away...not hating the city, but realizing it's not for me. But now I will be going back in a couple of months (for the U2 residency at the Sphere) and I've started researching the trip which led me to your channel. So I do appreciate all your videos, and I think I've been able to find some things to do there without being angry about it :D Thank you Norma!
We took our son to Vegas when they were promoting it as a "family" vacation. This was about 25 years ago. We did the Hoover Dam tour and went to see the "O" show at the Bellagio. We visited the M and M store and the Coca Cola tour. We gave him tons of quarters to play video games and saw a comedy show that was family friendly. We had fun!
I always said if I won the powerball I'd definitely have a home in Vegas. There's so much I want to see and never enough time to get it done. Even a week seems like isn't enough. But I want to see all the things. Great video as always. Another Virtual visit for me. Just gotta win that jackpot and I'll he ready to rock with some Chocolate milk and some good breakfast tacos. But I'll be having my birthday on the 4th next week. Hopefully a cool video next Friday for my virtual adventures haha. Have a great weekend. Thanks for always having cool adventures.
Such a fun video! Vegas is always so exciting, and you made even the cons sound like pros. With all the con-struction happening on the Strip, you would think Vegas would get a bad wrap, but pro-bably not. Great job Norma! 🌠
It's a new image . of casual or formal a atire Las Vegas will advertise itself, with a new concept of nightlife It won't have the spring break image of floozy, hangover young tourists on a mission of self destruction to get wrecked Those day are gone or fading The prospect is that an evening sun dress or tie will become the new image of these changes. It's not unlike trying to erase a criminal history The idea, of sin city as a moniker has to go. ...away!! and it will in time
Not sure what the code word is this week. Regardless, this is a pretty accurate assessment of tourism in Las Vegas. Just remember--there is NO perfect tourist attraction. Every city and every destination has its drawbacks. I had a great time when I visited Vegas about a year-and-a-half ago, and would go again in a heartbeat. Keep up the great work Norma!! You're awesome!!❤
Also, don't wear boots when walking the strip because it might be painful for your big toe!😣 I can understand wanting to get away to an island or remote cabin in nature to totally decompress. What's nice about Vegas is you can have a wild party vacation or one of total peace and relaxation depending on how you plan it.
We have been to Vegas 16 times. All have been adult vacations except in 2020, we brought our then 16 year old son. Our California vacation was cancelled due to COVID, so we came to Vegas. Plenty to do: Neon Museum, Mob Museum, The Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, etc. My husband and I gambled in the morning, then when he got up, we did family stuff. Great trip!
Again, another well done video!!!👍 your small bits of info was very concise & informative. Great basic info for 1st timers or rookies!! Nice “Karen” impression!!!😂 And you’re probably the only person that can look marvelous even with a tiny pimple!!!👍👍👍
I loved your point about renting a car in Vegas. With the traffic and other available options to get around (cabs, Ubers, the Deuce, Monorail and free trams) and the cost associated with parking your car, if you're staying 5-7 days I wouldn't rent one for the whole week. What I do is I rent a car for two days so I can drive around and see things further away from the Strip. AND I DON'T RENT IT FROM THE AIRPORT! At Treasure Island, they have 2 car rental places (Hertz and Dollar I believe). It's conveniently located in Center Strip, so it's easy to pick the car up and drop it off with very little hassle. Just book it ahead of time when you book your trip. Paying for car rental and parking fees for several days gets very expensive. The Pros for me in Vegas are 1) Great shows and Entertainment. 2) People-watching. 3) Spectacular views and amazing buildings/sculptures. 4) The Weather. I live in New England. There's a four-letter word we say a lot. Snow. The biggest CON I have in Vegas ... GOING HOME! Sad that my Vegas Vacation is over! And yes, Norma, you turned out just fine! Everyone loves your style. And who doesn't get a kick out of your bloopers!
Love it Norma! Yeah I don't get into the drinking and gambling, alcohol is nasty to me and I don't have a lot of money to gamble lol. But there's a lot of other stuff in Vegas, I went there for concerts. I heard Lady Gaga is coming back to do Jazz and Piano acoustic again, I flew out for that last time she did it and I loved it. How about a 24 hr video for Circus Circus 🙂One thing I want to try in Vegas that I haven't yet is the Adventuredome there at Circus Circus. But that Pollo Loco coaster looks a little dangerous, only leg restraints, and you go upside down? 😲 btw I always say it as "places to go, things to see and people to do" lmao. 🙂
I love LV & really enjoyed a full week this September! I, too, like Ellis Island, but not for the pizza. Upgrade to the Prime Rib Special! And, yes, people walking slow or STOPPING in the middle of a busy, moving walkway is IRRITATING!!
Hi Norma, I just came to your channel and you uploaded. Hey girl I live in Las Vegas and I’ve been here for decades. I don’t feel like there’s anything iconic left that have family coming to town at want to do the iconic Vegas things. I’m not doing the tourist strip, but one or two attractions there’s just nothing left in my eyes except for maybe a good show and a good meal do you have any other recommendations besides all the wonderful food videos you have I think I’m just so over it
I wonder which will bring the most dollars into the city: F1 or the Super Bowl? So many changes and annoyances getting ready for F1, especially compared to prep for the SB, which is minimal.
Nice video. One thing to consider on resort fees: they rarely exceed $40 a day, but many very nice properties are very low priced in mid week. I always stay Sunday to Friday and I typically only pay $300 to $400 for 5 nights at nice properties, and that's inclusive of all resort fees and taxes. That's like $60 to $80 a night, you can't stay at Best Western for that cheap and I am staying at nice strip properties. Granted the low prices are partially due to being comped a few room nights. But I am not a huge gambler but I use my loyalty card religiously in the slot machines and always get decent room night comps. So the resort fees are not really that bad when you consider the total cost with easily earned comps.
You have to do a tip about finding the old school Shrimp Cocktails in Vegas. My parents live there now but before then we used to come way back, late 70s, 80s, all the way to today. Back then next door to Circus Circus they had hot dogs and Shrimp Cocktails. The cocktails was a dollar and was soo delicious. Seems like back then shrimp cocktails for a buck was everywhere. I still look for something similar today when Im down there. I found one spot that still has a cheap shrimp cocktail somewhere buried in a casino but that was a few years back. cant remember now.
@@Ravioli-uw9uy I'm going with my daughter so something we would both like. Looking for restaurants with some vegan options (she is vegan). Norma mentioned Nacho Daddy. We are into anything. Do you recommend Cirque du Soleil? Very short stay so time is limited. Thanks!
@@gregranger6241 In Vegas a lot of the restaurants accommodate to those who eat vegan, so you guys should be good on that. Yes! I would suggest Beatles Love and O! Also make sure to check out the shopping centers at Town Square in Summerlin! Great and safe area
I absolutely love your videos, Norma! You're the one who inspired my trip to Las Vegas not long ago, and I'm seriously considering visiting again. Thanks a million for all the fantastic content and those Vegas tips!
Hi Norma - new to your channel, so wondering if you have any tips for staying and doing things off the strip? I've stayed and visited the strip a few times but find it rather exhausting, probably due to advancing age. Looking for more chill spots and experiences. Any ideas?
Go to the Arts District. My friends and I go get some brew and go checknout the street art. Also, there are some vintage stores and a vintage mall. The stores are very curated so you don't get a lot of junk.
Went during mid September ( a day after the flood) and it was tough to drive anywhere in town because of the construction. I also wonder if they will ever fix the escalators on the Strip?? I’ve watched all your videos and your advice REALLY helped! Thank you!
I kind like the floods; totally different environment for sure. Smoke bothers me so that is a big con and the hawkers trying to hand you brochures. Plus, there is nowhere to sit inside or out (unless you gamble).
Went to and loved Vegas for over 30 years...there was never a time I wasn't excited to visit. Tho age is starting to affect physical ability...I'm not sure how I'll feel when I go back now. It seems like it's becoming sooo superficial (yes, I know it's always been) in a bad way...exorbitant prices for one, Formula One taking over the strip #2. Tell us about the trail rides that you can get outside of Vegas something to do amazing like that I’ve done in the past and the place I did it is now closed
Hi Norma My daughter is getting married at the bone yard in September 2025 and I will be visiting Vegas for the first time. I live in the the north of the UK so we don't get hot weather much. Also every video seems to be expensive and you need to be a millionaire to go there. Which mid priced hotel would you recommend please. P.S. the Videos a great. Oh and I'm over 60 years old
I'm supposed to be out there the week of 6-10 November, but with all the construction photos and videos I've been seeing, I am beginning to reconsider. Opinions?
I'm currently in LV, and would advise you to reschedule unless you like overcrowded sidewalks, blocked access, extremely long lines everywhere starting at the airport. And elevated prices-even by LV standards! And PS: don't expect this to change much even after the race. Maybe 2024?
My suggestion is to postpone, if you can, and book the week before Christmas, which is when the National Rodeo ends. The 17th is a Sunday and the hotel rates are very reasonable.
@primemover1416 that could be an option. I usually come in November around Thanksgiving to celebrate my birthday, but F1 took care of that this year. Got a good deal at Park MGM for that early November week, bit the pics and video of all the F1 construction is making me feel disillusioned
Always get Hotel/ casino comp cards wherever you go because many times they will offer you first time discount on food or an extra $5 for slot machines or free parking . The more you use your casino comp cards in slot machines, table games, poker rooms, and sports book the more points you will accumulate toward food discounts etc.
Norma has the cutest giggles and smile!!
Very interesting vlog of the pros and cons of las vegas! Thanks for sharing beautiful lady😘😘😘xox

Another great Vlog Norma! If you don't gamble why not visit Hawaii. Same tourist traps as Vegas. Better views and more relaxing 🤙

first time visiting the your channel... had to do a double take when i saw ana xD
I remember the bike patrol on the strip. Pretty. Cool. They buzz around like a swarm of bees. Police. Thumbs up.
‘If go to vegas a hundred times, there’s always something different to do every time.’ Definitely agree. That’s why I keep going back. :D
Same I always go back to Vegas cuz each trip there are new things or something different to do.
Don't do it and Don't look at it! 😂
Thanks for all the great info Norma ✌
