There's a couple on youtube running $600 ebay turbo + $400 ktuner, making 300whp+ on AWD setups.
A cheap way to upgrade your motor is very simple (if youre still interested). What I would do for something like an element k24, I would swap the pistons with oe performance cast 11:1 - 12:1 pistons. Shave material off the rods, balance your crankshaft, find a budget minded lightweight flywheel. For the head, mill it IF your compression is too low. If your compression is too high for your liking OR if you don’t mind lowering it a bit more, deshroud the valves (deshrouding is taking material away from the chamber section of where the valve seats, ultimately increasing airflow and increasing power). Next, the element motor doesn’t have “true vtec” yatayatayata. They call me mr.nonvtec.
Just get a vtc upgrade for the cam with vtec, port the head, port the intake manifold, upgrade your springs, AND THAT’S IT. Now of days, that would cost you $2000 more or less.

I had the 2013 Civic SI just tuned w hondata, full race header w a 😺 stock exhaust drop in k&n air filter made 198 whp 174tq & absolutely love that car very reliable fun as hell & I hit 150 mph n' probably would have hit 160 because Hondata after the tune goes up to 150mph & I forgot to change it🙄 lol... & that's fast for my family sedan 🚗💨 I've owned 8th 9th & 10th gen Si I personally think the 9th gen was the best. It had a very simple setup very good transmission/motor was so reliable & very consistent, gas mileage was decent 26 city..10th gen very fun but once the turbo gets heat soaked you're fu$#ed but gas mileage with exhaust drop in filter would do 34 to 40 MPG even in the city! Sooo pros n' them damn cons 😎 all 4 the fun tho. God bless you all 🙏

The 500HP engine from 4 Piston is a 2.7 liter. Not quite 200HP per liter. But still not bad at 185HP per liter. They also sell a 2.4 liter street engine that produces 340HP per liter for 141HP per liter. Not bad for a street engine.

Have to disagree with some of those statements. There a stock k24a2 putting out 600-800 whp. And the forged piston with stock sleeves part i disagree with too

I'm swapping a k24a with Rob head into my rsx and not sure if I should put my little greddy turbo on it or not it will be my daily so I want it somewhat reliable but good power hoping for around 300 what do you think? Low psi or go for an na build?

I would like to see the difference between the J series and C series Honda V6 engines. And also whats the big difference between the F20C /F22C vs the K20 and K24.
Also the Honda F20C held the record for best power per liter ratio NA from the factory for years until the Ferrari 458 broke the record.
K series is basically F series but with adjustable VTC (cam timing) for better overall performance and tuning ability
C Series = 90 degree V6
J Series = 60 degree V6
Also, bore spacing is closer in the J-series, which doesn’t allow for as large of bore diameters. Consequently, J series engines generally have smaller bores and longer strokes for a given displacement than C series. Finally, C series was available with DOHC VTEC (in the NSX). All J-series engines are SOHC.

I have a 2005 Honda Element with the 2.4. I don't know a lot about engines so I wanted to ask a question. Does the vtec ever cut in? The one spec I looked at I could not find any RPM where it cuts in. It says it has 160 hp. I certainly don't need it in an Element. I have had the car since new and the motor is awesome as it is. Wouldn't the transmission have to be upgraded to handle big horsepower? Thanks

Is a JDM K24A (no suffix) compatible with K24A4 or K24A8? I have a 2005 Element with a blown K24A4 and am considering a JDM K24A. Are the cams and VTEC phasers the same? I want to be sure that I don't have issues with the existing PCM in my Element. Thanks.

Please help me. I got a fg2 with a k24 swap. I bought it as it is. For a starter platform. So it has a k24a stamp with a ID starts with 55 don't remember the rest. But the block and head has rbb-1. And it came with a rbc intake alternator has the sensor on top

Great job explaining the Vtec engine, question I Have do you know if you can re-ring a K24A engine in 2003 Honda Accord. The engine uses oil and the timing chain is pooched, no leaking at rear main seal. I done it before with a 1989 Honda 1.5, however can't seem to find an answer regarding the K24A engine. if you can help great, really enjoyed the video.

My Element has the economy K24A4 but yet the fuel economy really isn't the best. With a mix of city and highway driving, I am only getting around 21 MPG.
