Double double rebounds is not a thing because the player gets offensive and defensive rebounds and can get rebounds from their misses. It's a stat without a distinction.
According to stats, Angel Reese's rebounding averagea are 4.8 offensive per game and 7 defensive rebounds per game. Which means she's getting everyone's rebounds. And that is what makes Reese so talented in the paint. Remember when Alyssa made fun of Reese saying she was too small to compete with the bigs in the paint?
Angel Reese has had 225 rebounds in just 20 games. And we're just midway through the season.🎉

Yes a triple double is a big deal. There have been over 4000 times in WNBA history that some one has gotten a double double. However there has only been 35 times in WNBA history that someone has gotten a triple double.

I think the stats spread will get larger as the season progresses. We are seeing the Fever convert passes and run the floor....they take off like they were on fire now. The turnovers are going down (excuse stat to penalize CC). This argument about ROTY shows how bush league the W is and continues to be. I even watched the Sky/Storm game and it was just about the ugliest thing I have ever seen.

WNBA is doing this to hype the rivalry between Caitlin and Angel because Caitlin is widening the gap and Angel cannot cope up so they have to find a way to make Angel relevant. They continue to make this double double and turnover a big thing while ignoring the achievements of Caitlin. But Caitlin and the Fever remains focus on their goal to notch a playoff spot and not be bothered by this nonsense. Meanwhile the Sky is more focus on Angel winning the ROTY and hurting their chances of getting a spot in the playoff. Nevertheless, if Caitlin manages to record another triple double which is highly likely, then the race of ROTY will be moot.
Look Reese reality is coming, there’s levels to this thing and your schedule is about to get tough. When all is said and done CCs stats and broken records will be so overwhelming that Reese's stats will pale in comparison. I wouldn't be surprised if Reese even folds under the pressure.

It’s either going to be they let Angel Reese win ROY or they make both of them Co-ROY which is the stupidest thing because that would make it seem like Angel is as great as Caitlin. CC may not shoot as much or as greatly as she did in Iowa but she is creating magic and winning games with her excellent playmaking.

You can tell now that the WNBA is having the Fever lose and the coach and some of the players are in on it. As we saw with the Sky rebounds and now with the Fevers lose to the Mystics, Kelsey Mitchell waved off Clark and purposely didn't outlet the ball to her. The coach pulled CC out for a defensive play then has Mitchell who was 0-8 from 3 take the last shot which she just blundered. I think the Fever are going to go on a skid and the Sky will win more games Reese will pad her stats and at the end of the year they will say Reese is the RotY just to spite CC. ESPN and most major media outlets will not say anything about Reese's rebounds either they will mock it and say I heard someone say she gets her own rebounds that's why her numbers are high jokingly when they know that the stats are being fabricated to a degree.

No individual stat line is alone representative of how good a player is, that can only be seen by watching the impact they have on the court and on their teammates. Caitlin between her points and assists impacts around half of all of the fever points and has pushed a team that won all of 13 games last season to 9 wins so far with 18 games to go. Win pct for the fever has gone up from 32.5% to 40.9% while the sky have falled from 45% in 2023 to 40% in 2024. Sky has 18 wins last year and only 8 this year. they have played 20 games so just to have the same wins they will have to play .500 ball for the rest of their schedule. Good Luck with that..

I don't know all the details about these awards but I'm trying to use some deductive reasoning... Player of the week for the week of June 27th, would mean that week would end July 3rd. The next week award would be for the week of July 4th. Caitlin had her triple-double and beat NY on July 6th. So, that would make her front runner for player of the week for July 4th. I'm just guessing, I could be wrong, but that's what I think happened. They gave it to Angel for the week before the triple-double so they can push their Angel agenda and know they couldn't give it to her the week Clark has a triple double. Just pointing out why the triple-double might not be factored in.

CC in 23 games has 127 turnovers which avg to 5.5 a game. Coop had 421 turnovers in 5 years CC on the way 200 plus turnovers in a single season 😂😂

13 straight double - doubles is huge. No player has ever done this. Not Candace Parker, Tina Charles, Lisa Lesle, Aja Wilson, Silvia Fowles, Breana Stewart, .... All the Goats of the game, each with 5 - 10+ careers never accomplished what Angel has her 1st year in the league. It's an amazing accomplishment. She is also leading the league in rebounds.
