@@robertemerson1087 i never said you did so dont get all offended on me over nothing. the geneseed is created through the 19 different organs transplanted into the space marine, it originates from the 20 or so primarchs whom the emperor created. the emps doesnt have the organs necessary to create geneseed. so either the gk got their geneseed the same way every other space marine got it (which would mean they arent special at all) or whoever wrote this cocked up when it came to trying to sell the grey knights as special

Is it, though? Shouldn't they have a slight double explosion, a sort of ta-THUUUM! sound? - first the explosion to eject the round from the gun, then the rocket propelled part - kind of like RPG-7's. (Not the hollywood kind, the proper ones).
@@CallioNyx I could be way off but I thought bolter rounds were fired normally, but the difference is the bolt is a "mass activated" explosive that detonates after digging into whatever it hit, which is usually flesh. Which is why when regular manlet humans get shot by one they tend to just explode.
This looks like THE best-made WH40K game for PC ever in the past 2 decades, and like a worthy competitor for my favorite tactical turn-based game, XCOM 2 WotC! Well done, devs, keep up the great work!
Certainly is a brilliant game though as the fights get tougher really how you start them can decide the outcome. Nothing worse than your entire squad getting wrecked before you can close the gap in melee so it's pretty neat how certain paths are better than others to get as close as possible before an enemy squad realizes. Probably one of the finest 40k games to come out in years.
I'm old enough to remember that there already was a game called Warhammer 40k: Chaos Gate ^^ It was a turn-based tactical game in the vein of Fallout Tactics

My Psyker with his force axe and his ability to accelerate himself was so OP :D I remember him shredding like 3 or 4 Khorne Berserkers that came charging at him. What I too played with a passion was one of the first adaptations of Space Hulk, the boardgame was what drew me into the 40K Universe

This looks interesting, and REALLY well animated....But anyone else getting sick of always playing as the Space Marines? I'd kinda like to be the Imperial Guard in a Left4Dead meets Dark Souls kind of game where a horrendously unprepared team tries to take a section of a Hive city back from Orks, Chaos, and a minor Tyranid infestation. Or, heck, just an Imperial Guard in a They Are Billions-esq situation except it's first person, co-op Battle Royale levels of people fighting off hordes of Orks, Chaos, Tyranids, other Imperial Guard, Tau, and whatever else from outside and inside the walls of a fortress or Hive city. Or the Tau doing tactical missions in a Republic Commando-esq way. Or a Chaos follower trying to become a full sorcerer in a Dungeon Keeper-esq game in a Hive City. Or an Eldar Farseer trapped behind enemy lines, having to use her precognition and Psychic abilities to evade an Ork stronghold, an Imperial base, and a team of Dark Eldar tasked with hunting you down for some very unpleasant buggery. Or a Survival/Crafting/Basebuilding game where you are a growing Ork rallying more and more Orks under your banner, where you keep getting bigga, choppyer, and shootyer den all da rest ov de boiz. Tell me any of these wouldn't be fun if done right?
Yeah I agree why always Space Marines? I do have 2 armies of them so it's not like I disliked them. But it's always the same factions with the recent 40k games (sure in Battlefleet you can play other races - but mostly single player games are only Imperium sided). However, Darktide and Warhammer: Shootas, Blood & Teef might be the beginning of a diverse trend in gaming. Hopefully we can see Dark Eldars, Tau or other races that aren't always antagonists. And funny thing - it also looks like Nurgle is appearing waaaay more in video games vs all of the other chaos gods. I mean Tzeentch and especially Slaanesh are non-existent. It's strange to see Games Workshop have such a vast universe with full fledge races... only for them to be forgotten.
