Well this was timely - I'm heading to Bali on Tuesday for 10 days - looking forward to especially some authentic Indonesian cuisine - hope your'e both well and I'm looking forward to watching your travel adventures again this year.
Well here’s what I discovered on my recent trip - in fact I’m still here. [ ] Cash is king - be aware that many stall owners will not have change [ ] Denpasar airport signage is poor so make sure you use one of the provided computers to complete your declaration and print your customs QR label for your final customs stop. m[ ] Don’t bother to do a before arrival visa, it’s not worth the effort. Just hand over your passport and $50 when you arrive. [ ] Indonesians are friendly and will always say “hello”. They are not always trying to sell you something. [ ] everyone likes to get up early so expect many people walking around at 8.00am. [ ] All the tailoring and DVD stores have been replaced by tattooists and tattoos are very cheap. A full back tattoo will cost you aus$2000. The price is by design rather than by time.

Happy New Year :) all the very best! Can you still do the Mount Batur tour? There was some info earlier in the year that it may be only for spiritual practice? Maybe that hasn't been implemented yet? That would be awesome :) I would add Dreamland, Suluban and Niang Niang beach in Uluwatu, Gili Islands. Loved Amed and made long-lasting friendships with the locals :) Seminyak was amazing for music recording :) Looking forward to going to Bali again! It's such a great culture and beautiful nature. Would you know any yoga retreats you could recommend for a month?

Hello . I am traveling to bali in October to get a full back tattoo. The tattoo studio is in kuta. My travel agent has us staying the 10 days in kuta. Would you recommend staying in kuta? Or is there a better plave to stay. I think they have us there since its close to tattoo studio. I appreciate any advice:)
