It is kind of true though. Most of the time, it is Nami that keeps the crew focusing on their goal. She is also the responsible one that is in charge of their money and makes sure that they have enough foods and supply. Without her, Luffy would just spend all of their money on parties. Oda mentioned that before Nami joined, Luffy and Zoro just ate whatever they could caught. After that, Nami is the one makes sure that the ship has enough foods and water.

I mean Usopp takes way more damage even early on but there's an anime rule about girls getting hurt too badly and such (robins 2 fatal wounds in back to back arcs left no scars) and nami has better close range attack and retreat options

Chopper at this point is definitely stronger then them both, between human form, armpoint, andjumping point he's no weakling. Usopp is ironicly the most talented straw hat, he's the only one that didn't have to work hard to be good at what he does, he is a naturally born sniper, and is insanely resourceful and creative. Nami is probably overall the smartest straw hat at this point, and she does have some combat knowledge, but is physically weak and has to rely on resourcefulness intelligence, and her sneaking skills to win or avoid fights. Also Usopp is pretty good at taking hits for someone so physically Weak especially compared to nami, so in all fairness I think nami deserves the whistle and should be considered the weakest

@@favray depends what form of intelligence you are looking at. Book smarts I'd say Robin, but practical intelligence I'd say Nami. Nami is good at seeing a situation and knowing how to respond, manipulating people and getting what she wants just through cunning alone. You could also debate chopper or Frankie as the smartest. Frankie basically being the planets 2nd best mechanical engineer, and chopper who spent years studying medical and plant textbooks. All 4 are incredibly smart in their own way, I just feel like Nami has the most practical knowledge, and uses her knowledge as a leader better then the rest of them.
How Usopp survived Alabasta and Dressrosa I still don't know.

Usopp definitely deserves the whistle. He’s a sniper, meaning that when it comes to long distance fights, he would have a serious advantage, but I feel like people are forgetting that many of the villains in One Piece prefer to get close and personal. Chopper is definitely stronger than both Usopp and Nami. Nami has combat skills from thieving, and she had the newly made climatact that can bring forth gust winds and lightning. Usopp has a lot of durability, but his close combat ability is lackluster compared to the rest. They are all strong combat-wise, and Usopp is probably the fourth strongest member of the Strawhat Pirates (at the time) if he were to fight in a large environment with cover. But close combat, Usopp is definitely the weakest out of them.

I think what only bored me about the Skypiea arc the most was their fight with Satori, a.k.a. the ball ordeal... He was the most pointless part IMO. But I find the entire arc fun because at that time, it felt really good when they actually proved Noland's stories to be true.

I honestly think Luffy should have kept it. In terms of combat prowess, he doesn't even come close to the Usopp Rubber Band of Doom, arguably the strongest technique in the show. Nami's superhuman punching skills and chopper's menacing form can easily beat Luffy. If only the fruit granted him the properties of rubber too. He might have stood a chance then.

This is a hard one.. Nami killed one of the strongest cp9 and literally dodged kisses while unconscious.
For Chopper, he turned into a monster while fighting one of cp9. But the only problem is that he couldn’t control it before pre-timeskip. But after pre-timeskip he was able to control it.
So I would say usopp is the weakest one.
Usopp invented rifling and was sniping fodder miles away with a SLINGSHOT. Robin would be dead without him.
In conclusion, enies lobby is probably the best arc since every strawhat had a time to shine
