You are getting the hang of the aim54c. When targets dive to low alt. it drains the missiles energy. Try to launch at over mach 1.4 if your the target is below you. The extra boost will let it get very close. If they hit the deck and remain below 30m or about 98ft the missile will hit the ground no matter what. Good luck. P.S. A note on TWS. You can freely swap targets at any time and fire on them. As long as you keep all your launch targets in the radar cone the missiles will track.
I’m glad there are more people than just me who can play sim without saying “Fox-2 Fox-2, splash one bandit, hit him with the Fox-2” like it just gets annoying, I appreciate the role play but for some people that’s all their commentary is
@@barosangaming8174 I have more than 1000 hours in dcs, mostly in pvp servers and mostly in cold war jets. I'd say that aside from arcade interface wt radar modeling is better than all of dcs modules' radars except the m2000. In dcs no radar aside from m2000 can see or lock chaff, even a tomcat's Rio on pulse search doesn't see chaff. Dcs radars' acm mode is cringe too, in most jets it is pulse search and lock, but it tracks all the targets even in extreme look down situations and doesn't get fooled by chaff. Ir modeling in dcs is also way worse. If a fox 2 deflects to a flare is chance-based, so you can defeat even an aim9x in a tail with full burner as long as you have enough time to deploy large enough amount of flares or you are lucky enough. Wt does ir CCM way better. You can argue that ecm isn't present in wt, but it is done in such a horrible manner in dcs, so it isn't much better there Sure, dcs is by far the best at modeling flight models (though there are numerous errors too), cockpits and all the plane's systems, but it isn't the best at modeling a lot of important things
@@hyiv the issue with DCS is that its a humongous ram hog and is much harder to run on a PC than war thunder. Score points are dependent on missions/bombing bases/units, The explosives are also a thing you can have a variety of like 1000kg bombs/500kg/etc and they can give a huge amount of explosive with the same amount of score points given Low explosive mass is probably with fire bombs since they can destroy bases over time while using a small amount of explosives.
Low bomb tonnage and high score is likely due to rockets. Was the same with the old rewards system, where each rocket gave you SL. For the event there is a huge wave of F4s taking maximum rockets and strafing airfields with them. Each rocket still awards score on the board, so its a fast way to get the event. Whereas bombs do more damage, but give less score per Ton of base damage. Lots of zomber lobbies for this now that the event is out. Easy food for the grind. @@gay_putin_ Potentially. The type of rocket also determines the points, so you might need to do a few experiments to see what works. But it would likely function the same yes

Reason because you couldnt get the f16 initially is because your radar was looking too high. You can adjust that to scan above ir under the nose. the little bars on the left of the radar square indicate the position.
The scoring with the tons is because when using normal bombs it adds alot to the tonne but using napalm adds very little or using unguided rockets like ffar might mouse
Yeah, I've tested it while grinding in a phantom, napalm is the most weight - efficient way to bomb bases, it displays were little tnt tonnes dropped but bases go down and reward isn't lower than using conventional bombs
@@ВячеславФролов-д7я yeah but if you want more rp and sl you should use unguided rockets to attack the enemy's airfield. You would have to climb up to 6000m and then dive down popping chaff

@CptToastman that's awesome. I've been thinking of getting one as at the moment I haven't even got a joystick so I mainly just use bombers/attackers. Do you use pedals aswell?
Hey toastman, what was the RP earned for this battle? Could you give an idea of what a typical RP outcome looks like for sim at top tier? Thanks for the video!
Tipp you can in Theory instantly drop the guid for the aim54 cuz thoes are the mk60's andbthry turn their radar on instantly after the launch platform loses lock atleast in real life idk how it is in wt
Thing is, it's radar range is limited to around 9 NM, so if you break thr radar lock, it will travel to the last known target's location and then turn the radar on and try to find the target. If the target doesn't change its course or you've lost your lock not long before the missile hits the 9nm threshold, it works but if it is lost long before the pitbul range, target can just turn and fly away from the Phoenix's radar gimbal limit
@CptToastman lol okay even I had to look back and see what I was talking about it's about the score on the bases when you use napalm you get less tons but the same score if you was dropping bombs
The way the phoenix is gimped in this game is utterly criminal

When they have really low bombing tonnage that means they are using napalm, napalm gives less bombing tonnage but destroys more bases.
Hey Cheez! Flown with you a bunch! o7 lad!

Its also caused by bombing with rockets, napalm doesnt work against airfields in sb, and most zombers aim into airfields as their main targets
