I have always admired the editing techniques on shows like Masterchef, but this video takes the bar and holds it way above the flailing and desperate arms of the television boffins. My favourite flourish was the ten second lingering shot of Darren drinking the bottle of water, which really kept the whole thing motoring along smoothly whilst completely maintaining my interest.

Hi @ lynnharling Probably 20 Indian restaurants or take always within a five minute walk / drive from you , I just don’t get why people want to see full English/American breakfast or pizza or burgers or Sunday roast or steaks or tomato soup while living in Thailand, I’m going to guess you’re living in the country now and 40 minutes drive to the nearest anything , have a great day and regards from rural Thailand,
Hi @ manchestermano Thai people generally never leave a tip , it’s not a thing here , I’m from Uk always tipped there and always tip here , which ranges from 20 to 100 baht, if I’m out for lunch which costs me 55 baht I give them 20 baht tip , and they are over the moon with that , as it’s 100% Thai people that eat in the places I have lunch and they never leave a tip , most scan pay here anyway , daily pay here for waiters , labour of any kind is around 300 to 400 baht per day , so any tip is a big thing to Thai people Regards and have a great day Davy 🏴🇹🇭

Seems that it's just the UK that identifies levels of heat with the style of the dishes: Korma, Madras, Vindaloo, Phall etc. Everywhere else asks "how hot would you like that?" so here in the USA you can order a Vindaloo mild or a Korma extra hot, which to me makes no sense!!
Hi Darren. Just worked out how to subscribe to one of your channels. Love the food stuff and your attitude to life. I'm 50 from Durham. Real eye opening content. Keep it going and thankyou for giving potential ideas to living life to the full. Genuine bloke. Paul.

Great review - I actually went there with a mate and we too both thoroughly enjoyed it. They gave me a scale of 1-10 for spice, asked for my Madras to be 8 - very spicy, perfect. 🍻
Hi Darren, I shifted to India from the uk a few years back. I enjoy visiting Thailand as the flight is only 4 hours. In most restaurants in India, they will offer a thali set lunch at a good price. Sometimes the thali will have 2 options; South Indian thali and North Indian thali. the North Indian thali will normally include a bowl of tomato soup. While the rest of the dishes will be spicy, the tomato soup is (in my experience) non spicy. Basically the same you would get in the UK. Maybe this restaurant is North Indian and makes soup the same way. If you want spicy soup, ask for “rasam”. It’ll blow your head off.

This video is yet another example of why Darren is peerless in the food review sector.
