I have always admired the editing techniques on shows like Masterchef, but this video takes the bar and holds it way above the flailing and desperate arms of the television boffins.
My favourite flourish was the ten second lingering shot of Darren drinking the bottle of water, which really kept the whole thing motoring along smoothly whilst completely maintaining my interest.

@@TiltonRD What you have to remember is that Darren is a very modest man and so it is understandable he would delete any comments praising him. That is within his right.
Whilst my comments may disappear into the ether, his artistry lives on.

Personally i dont think comments (unless they are trolls or really horrible etc) should be deleted, Everyone is entitled to their own opinions some longtime followers have had comments deleted just for disagreeing with something which i personally think is wrong. I don't agree with everything Darren says or does but sometimes feel its wrong to disagree because it will be deleted. As a vlogger darren needs to realise some comments arent always going to agree that doesn't mean he should block them.😊

      Hi @ manchestermano
Thai people generally never leave a tip , it’s not a thing here , I’m from Uk always tipped there and always tip here , which ranges from 20 to 100 baht, if I’m out for lunch which costs me 55 baht I give them 20 baht tip , and they are over the moon with that , as it’s 100% Thai people that eat in the places I have lunch and they never leave a tip , most scan pay here anyway , daily pay here for waiters , labour of any kind is around 300 to 400 baht per day , so any tip is a big thing to Thai people

Hi Darren, I shifted to India from the uk a few years back. I enjoy visiting Thailand as the flight is only 4 hours. In most restaurants in India, they will offer a thali set lunch at a good price. Sometimes the thali will have 2 options; South Indian thali and North Indian thali. the North Indian thali will normally include a bowl of tomato soup. While the rest of the dishes will be spicy, the tomato soup is (in my experience) non spicy. Basically the same you would get in the UK. Maybe this restaurant is North Indian and makes soup the same way. If you want spicy soup, ask for “rasam”. It’ll blow your head off.

Having been a UK expat in APAC for 27 years, the locals state that they prefer chicken thighs because the breasts are drier after cooking ( thicker meat, takes longer to cook through, whereas thighs are more tender)

780 baht is £18.67 which is not bad considering it looked like you had two mains, poppodom, soup, bread and beer in a sit down restaurant with AC.

I would have happily paid that when I lived in Thailand over any of the western food. The only crap meal I had was KFC, which was once and a few microwave meals in the condo when I couldn't be bothered to move.
