Everytime I watch one of your wonderful videos Darren it makes me feel hungry lol 😅 although I may have just eaten! 😅😅 plus so relaxing 😌 and therapeutic Darren as I have said before! 😌 ❤🎉
Stay strong man, focus on the good things.. I understand depression. I live with a severe depressive disorder and know it’s genuinely horrific. Make sure (force yourself) to shower everyday first thing and go for walks. Focus on small positives and remember the good times. There will be more different good times ahead. Merry Christmas man.
HI Darren Another great review all great food you had and good price as well. I loved all the dishes but afraid I I am not a fan of fish but would eat Fish and Chips.and scampi . I would eat Prawns if they were just Prawns only without taking of the shell etc. Thank you for sharing.
Always enjoying the great vlogs. Fantastic looking food Darren, yummy ! Very well done mate👌 If I may clarify location of the restaurant so easier to find for others: Its at ""TOP END"" of SOI BUAKHAO turn left as its "NORTH". ( not bottom-end /south) for peeps to understand location. 🍽 Have a great Christmas in the Land of smile, lucky you.😁
Great to see you eating fresh vegetables regularly, Darren. That will help regulate your eating, give the nutrients, and help with your weight loss - improve your health. And their tasty too! 👍
I think it’s cabbage in fish sauce, one of my faves. The spicy dish I had yesterday with my other half and my son and it is delicious but I don’t know the name. You are loving Thailand Darren and good luck to you. Did you find anywhere for Christmas lunch?
I thought you were on Lengkhee. Had me confused. 555. The place you are at is fantastic and open late. Have not been since the end of Covid but you have stirred my memories so next time in Patts I will visit.
Hi dj i have tried massaman beef it was delicious not sure about the others but it all looked exceptional loving all your vlogs in thailand and the conversions all i have to do is double it to convert it to aussie dollars ❤️❤️😁😁
Darren I make that at home oyster sauce cabbage and garlic 🧄 but I put ginger in it as well lovely bit of scan mate you can even put sweet peppers and chicken that looks delicious mate happy Christmas
Hi Darren, have you met rides for kicks yet? He is a youtuber based in Rayong, he may have advice re. You buying bigger bike for your tours. Good luck with everything. Or Chock dee kap. As is said in Thailand.
Where you are on Pattaya Klang almost opposite is a food court which was very good and very good prices, it is next to a Mango and sticky rice vendor which I know you like.
been going to Leng lee for 20 yrs, since my thai wife took me there . One to try ,is the place on the corner of 3rd road and soi pothole,, Phak Bung Loi Fha Pattaya Sai 3
Ate at this place loads, always good. Think it was around 2002 I first went here as a bright eyed 19 year old just discovering Pattaya. All looked good, next time try the braised pork leg, it is amazing especially paired with the nam Jim it’s served with , cooked for hours.
I like tod mun going.. prawn cakes in a batter served with sweet chilli. I also like the beef soup noodles you see around the place. Get friendly with women from the bar, and you'll soon have access to good local food.
Omg Daz that is so much food for one person. Glad you have the gym. Looks like healthy food though and whole cloves of garlic are going to be killing any illness that comes your way. I love spicy food but there is definitely a point where I can't eat it cos all you teast the heat. At that point it spoils it for me. Glad you enjoyed your meal.
@ yes I can see that lol 😂. Sometimes I eat at nice western restaurants where the bill is 3000baht and sometimes we go to our local Thai 30baht restaurant, where most dishes are 30baht , but small Thai plates , like a Thai Tapas lol .
Darren Not being rude enjoy you videos but remember 2things the seafood in most restaurants is farm raised also The locals don’t eat out every day as they don’t have the money that’s why it’s cheap relatively
Will you ever cook in your apartment again, it just looks too good in these restaurants. I’d like to see you go to a more upmarket restaurant just out of interest. Happy Xmas.
That restaurant was the start of the Lengkee Empire... Soi Lengkee etc. Chinese not Thai. I've always found the service a little strained but as you say absolutely great food. .... Happy Christmas chap! Last time I checked it was still owned by a middle aged Chinese woman..... Aim high!!!
There's a well known cheap but great place that is similar to this at 3rd Road end of Soi Chaiyapoon/Pothole on the right side corner. It's called Phak Bung Loi Fha. You probably know it already but if not, it's worth a try.
It was not your mum cooking cabbage less delicious but because of "Taiwanese flat cabbage" was used. When cutting this cabbage in half, it is less dense, sweeter than normal cabbage and crispier too. Hope this info will help your mum feel better!
The night before Chinese new year they got a place round the back with around 3000 duck hanging ready to go it’s amazing. DJ I say many many times you are in the greatest place on earth Thailand enjoy my friend loving the vlogs 👍👍🤝
That Chinese cabbage is on another level - people underestimate it. When you grill cabbage, it takes the flavors up a few notches. That restaurant is both Chinese and Thai food.
not spicy not tastey. Thai food has to have spice. The more you venture from Pattaya the more you will experience proper Thai food. Much enjoying you opening your horizons and here for the Journey Darren!

Authentic Thai food is as good as it gets. Glad you are finding more quality places to eat. Happy Christmas!
Try Gai kratiem prik thai if you like garlic, it's one of my favourites. Also have you tried the food court in big c extra (just down the road)?
DJ if you can eat jellied eels you can eat anything Happy Christmas
Prawns! Yum
A visit to a tattoo parlour would be good..

@@DJsFoodTravels yes I have travelled all over south east Asia. Love Thai food. There is just somethings that are too hot.
Check out The Devonshire on Soi Lengkee been there for many years
I have
That's still tourist prices . £10 is like 2 days' salary for a local .
There are many locals in various wage structures, but none would have ordered all that it was to show us what we could get, can't you see that.
@ yes I can see that lol 😂. Sometimes I eat at nice western restaurants where the bill is 3000baht and sometimes we go to our local Thai 30baht restaurant, where most dishes are 30baht , but small Thai plates , like a Thai Tapas lol .
You’d love a tender massaman neua mate ( beef ) very tender , my misses does it in the slow cooker at home
Is it off the charts Darren by any chance lol ,Hope you and the family have a Great Christmas and a very happy New Year ❤❤❤
There a new restaurant across the road issan restaurant very good can’t miss it very big looks posh but very cheap
Must be losing your bearings mate that’s central Pattaya road or Pattaya klang just past the entrance to start of soi buakhao
It’s Pattaya Klang
@ that’s what a just said or can you not read

What is the name of your handy translator? Nice review
You don't need one if you have a smartphone, you will have a translator app that does the same.

If you like spicy; try pad kee mao. Or Drunken spaghetti. Wife makes a lovely one.
Darren, are you going to review a nice Christmas Dinner?
Not sure if Robin Hood do one.
Edit
They do and its excellent as to be expected.
£110
Hey Daz,
You've obviously been eating out at a variety of places.
Encountered any food poisoning thus far?
Straight up start asking if they have brown rice. It does exist. Way better for you (blood sugar and fiber).
Not for me thanks
Merry Xmas DJ. All the best.
I tried all these dishes being guided by a Thai partner, in 3 weeks you have tried as much as i did in 3 months when I moved here. Keep it up
Looked fab enjoy merry Christmas.🎄🎄🎄
Looked delicious. That would cost £30 plus in the uk
Staff in this restaurant get paid about 10 pound a day, do you want that in the uk
@ pathetic you’re comparing apples and oranges. If you can’t be positive keep your thoughts to yourself
