I forgot to ask you what kind of wire are you using to tight the butterflies?
You can use any wire or thread which has some sturdiness like wire used for jewelry making....I got this one from walmart

I will make some but I couldn't catch the exact measurements of the materials
Small rectangle measures 3.5 * 2 inch
Big rectangle measures 4 * 2.5 inch
And then just make all the corners round
