I think the problem is they all focus on popular groups rather then less popular ones. Most of the time the best vocalists are in the underdog groups rather than for example the top 5 in 4th gen (except maybe NMIXX)
What impresses me from this list is not only Nmixx, but dancers and rappers being able to support, like I'm sorry Juhyeon can dance like a machine and support that high? Even if it's shallow, it's still as impressive, Nayoung shows potential as well! Karina and Giselle is to be expected because they're one of the skilled vocalist here, also my girl Chaewon (LS), her improvement vocally is insane, from not having a supported range to having one

@João Gabriel Rodrigues Souza that doesn’t really make sense i fear lol lack of resonance is definitely not what’s holding lily of the aa-p, first off because the whole ‘resonance’ term was used inappropriately in a lot of cases, including wendy iirc (means she has never properly “resonated”). lily doesn’t lack in development, she needs time for her technique to settle in, once she’s done with the belting show-off and afford a more balanced mix for the days she will be fine, i wouldn’t be surprised if she can actually support higher than a Eb5.
I believe in you Bae. You can join your sisters in the supported singing club 😫🙏🏿 She really just needs to warm up her voice more often and loosen up on the throatiness. Dropping the stylistic styles should also be a priority too but tbh it doesn't rlly hinder her voice as much 'cuz even when she's singing with this style she is still able to showcase some technical singing (and tbh I really like the way her voice sounds, its so unique and husky. I like how she sounds in their Why So Lonely cover and whenever she takes on the lower harmony during harmonizations).

winter has more relaxed sound til bb4 and gets tight around b4/c5 however despite the issues, seulgi still has the stronger sound and better development all throughout
You can recognize supported notes from a studio version, but the problem is that depending on how much studio mixing is involved, it can be a bit tricky lol.
You defintiely can but its a bit finicky because studio mixing and post production effects might amplify or weaken the sound of a singer at times making it trickier to identify support. It's usually why ppl mostly prefer live singing when evaluating vocals.

Rose is in low to mid w-a and there's noticable gap between winter and karina and i don't think karina can catch winter but yeah lets hope cuz karina had potential she already have better low than winter but winter still had much better mix than karina when she use bolder approach

nothing out of the usual, haewon supports the best followed by chaehyun and then jihan, the latter singing with barely any true connection at all. i’m not personally fond of their voices in this perfomance tbh
I think it’s not really relevant for people to use “light lyric soprano”. There’s actually vocal types even lighter than that in opera but in pop context we usually only use low, medium or light soprano. Winter would be a light weight soprano.
jinni’s pre debut cover sounds good but she doesn’t seem to be as strong or consistent if we compare those to her new materials but they’re around the same level. jinni suffers the same thing with karina who can also go shallow
winter actually has a couple of cute c5s!! she seems very consistent w b4s as well. Anyone up for discussion on Seulgi vs. Winter? Even on A4-Bb4 range, I'd say maybe Seulgi and Winter arguably produce the same sound quality but anything higher than that and Seulgi is stronger.
I'd say Seulgi overall.
winter has more relaxed sound til bb4 and gets tight around b4/c5 however despite the issues, seulgi still has the stronger sound and better development all throughout
Seulgi just has a more developed sound from G3~C5 lol

You can recognize supported notes from a studio version, but the problem is that depending on how much studio mixing is involved, it can be a bit tricky lol.
You defintiely can but its a bit finicky because studio mixing and post production effects might amplify or weaken the sound of a singer at times making it trickier to identify support. It's usually why ppl mostly prefer live singing when evaluating vocals.

Rose is in low to mid w-a and there's noticable gap between winter and karina and i don't think karina can catch winter but yeah lets hope cuz karina had potential she already have better low than winter but winter still had much better mix than karina when she use bolder approach

Chaehyun supported Bb4 at 0:22. Jihan supported G#4 it was shallow and nasal at 0:48 and Haewon supported C#5 it was nasal too at 1:03
nothing out of the usual, haewon supports the best followed by chaehyun and then jihan, the latter singing with barely any true connection at all. i’m not personally fond of their voices in this perfomance tbh

I think it’s not really relevant for people to use “light lyric soprano”. There’s actually vocal types even lighter than that in opera but in pop context we usually only use low, medium or light soprano. Winter would be a light weight soprano.

Not really, it's hard to tell but Jinni seems to have a more full grasp to her support while kyujin and sullyoon sound more shallow.

jinni’s pre debut cover sounds good but she doesn’t seem to be as strong or consistent if we compare those to her new materials but they’re around the same level. jinni suffers the same thing with karina who can also go shallow
winter actually has a couple of cute c5s!! she seems very consistent w b4s as well. I think that if she start doing covers of non IU-type of songs she would surprise 👀 like she could have head voice bc it sounds good in the ost and maybe even g#3s but we need to hear her upper and lower register without the airy stylistic choices. aespa as a whole really need more materials omg i dream of them covering their seniors songs like the nmixx girls it would be a great idea @ sm
