*EDIT TO ADD* Guys, the things we say and think in the reaction are solely based on Frankie’s portrayal in the movie. I feel much differently towards the real Frankie Lymon having done my own research once the movie was over. There were many aspects of his real life that were left out. The movie was great don’t get me wrong, but I do not feel they conveyed the truth of his tragic life and I wouldn’t have insulted the guy if I had known. RIP Frankie 🫶🏻 Thank you for reading! I know 8 mile technically won our music poll but I could not get it to download that day, so we went with the runner up. 8 mile will still be completed of course but for now here we are. Please forgive my sniffling it was right at the end of me being sick. Hope you all are having a good one wherever you are ✌🏻
I feel like biggest crime is that Halle Berry should have done more comedy movies. I always felt she had the comedic chops and timing. Her and Vivica A. Fox worked well together.
The actor that played Frankie Lyman is named Larenz Tate and he looks exactly the same 24 years later as he does in the movie. The only real difference is that he is in better shape now than he was then
Frankie relationship with the school teacher was my favorite of all the stories. She was soo pretty back then. The lady playing her is Lela Rochon she is married to Antoine Fuqua he directed Training Day
The sad part about this movie is a lot of what he went through happened to him before he was 18 😢 Also all those grown ass women were fcking a child. They were at least mid 20s….
@@HabitualCinema Yeah I was cringing through this whole reaction in my head I was screaming he was 13 and was pretty much molested….that’s why that lady got married to him in Mexico
7:14 he also plays in a movie called Jawanna Man -along with vivica a fox - he plays a failed nba star who was kicked out of the league so he dresses up as a woman to play in the wnba. Vivica fox plays on the team he joins lol. Singer Ginuwine is in it too and rapper lil kim and tina turners mom in 'whats love got to do with it' plays his mom lol
I hope you guys watch two more Larenz Tate films, The Inkwell and Love Jones. More suggestions: Claudine, House Party 1, A Soldier's Story, Car Wash, Cooley High, The Last Dragon, New Jack City, Black Dynamite, Real Genius, Spike Lee's 80s and 90s work, Night Of The Creeps, The People Under The Stairs, Friday, Barbershop, Good Burger and John Carpenter's work.
Do b.a.p.s , its another hood classic staring halle berry. Pure comedy !! I havent seen it in yrs but i watched that movie everyday of my life when i was 5 😂 she plays a broke hairdresser in atlanta😂😂😂 it has bernie mac, heavy d, ezell from friday, big worm from friday, LL cool J, Dennis Rodman, and the bi -sexual thug in Dont be a Menace is in it too 😂🔥🔥🔥

Hello, check out a movie called, 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Adventure/Drama (1992). It stars Gérard Depardieu, Siqourney Weaver, Armante Assante. Little Richard actually played himself in this movie which is pretty epic because he is the one who pretty much created Rock and roll music 🤯….
