I just got mine - I do feel the "screen" is way too visible. Especially compared to the marketing material. I haven't tested them out much. But I feel that the video presentation of them on the website oversell the product by 10x. I mean the illustrations of sneakers, the multi color text in formatting. The image generation etc.
I got BCGs in basic training for free. My drill instructor told me everything I needed to know, the whole time I was there. Never knew I was getting such a bargain, or that I was living in the future back then.
Love that this is an open source device however the lag between the question and response concerns me. Lag is an issue with Humane and other AI wearables, but it's not ok. Apple and Google may have the upper hand in reducing the lag with local processing.
Does anyone know if these are able to interpret text and display text back instead of having it relay over audio? These would be great for exams (wink wink)
I have one and I can say this video is hyping up the glasses more than it should... It's definitely nice to have but only if you know how to code. The experience out of the box isn't great and the frame is glitchy at the moment.
that display looks like someone just tape a strip of screen across the lens. Also, making it round to stand out from other smartglasses could be a good idea, but also, making it looks ugly to me

It takes a couple seconds but honestly doesn't work as well yet. I'd say to wait.
