Doctor Explains Typical Pneumonia Treatment Plan

And it's possible the campaign trail's grueling schedule, with its germy hand-shaking and selfie-taking, increased Hillary Clinton's risk.
Clinton's illness appears mild, but it is fueling the question of what else voters need to know about whether she and Donald Trump are fit enough to be president.
Yet the reality: There's not much of a crystal ball to predict things like a common infection.
Dr. Lisa Kopas, a pulmonologist at Houston Methodist Hospital, describes what patients go through when they have a mild case of pneumonia, similar to what Hillary Clinton is experiencing on the campaign trail.
Kopas, who is not treating Clinton and has not reviewed her medical records, says most patients with less severe pneumonia - often called "walking pneumonia" - are prescribed antibiotics, told to get plenty of rest and keep hydrated.
Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs.
Often it's a bacterial infection that sweeps in after a cold or flu virus.
Each year, about 1 million people in the United States seek hospital care because of pneumonia, and it causes tens of thousands of deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

I've had pneumonia for 3 months now and I've took 2 different antibiotics and I'm still in pain and my lung hurts 🤕😭

@L G I'm currently recovering from pneumonia, too. I live in the UK and fell ill on 5th December 2022.
It's been 5 weeks now (nearly 6), and I still feel rough, sore, and in discomfort. I've had a really rough time not gonna lie. I was on holiday when I fell ill, and it was a week before I saw a doctor, although I thought it was just flu, so I thought I'd get better over the week (i didnt, i got a lot worse).
Once home, i went to my local GP, and they sent me straight to the hospital. After spending the day in hospital, I was sent home the same day (I shouldn't have though.. apparently🤷♂️)
After a week at home, I finished my course of IV antibiotics, and the nurses stopped my house visits. I then went on to take oral antibiotics (I was already taking some during the week of house visits) After finishing them I started to feel better. But after a couple of days I went back downhill!
Funny enough, I've got my follow up chest X-RAY tomorrow morning. So fingers crossed I'm healing nicely. As I've been struggling with it all massively! Especially mentally.

@Danny Long Alright, mate. I can finally say that I'm fully recovered now! I managed to get back to work after 2.5 months off. It was tough going, but managed it slowly. One of the main things I noticed after I recovered was how tired and drained of energy I was. I was falling asleep early every night, around 7.30pm. And that never happened previously. But it does take time to recover so definitely do all you can to heal. I wish you all the best mate!

Dr told me i had walking pneumonia but i dnt have a cough or fever ..i jst have shortness of breath & chest pressure and headache after taking the antibiotics .. Is that normal for me not to have cough or fever ..or should i get a second opinion??
