BRAVA! I'm a baritone (so I'll never know), but I have always considered this aria to be the most difficult vocal 'test' for a soprano (NOT "Der Holle Rache..."). The best sopranos in the world have mishaps because this aria exposes everything in a voice: Stamina, control, RANGE, coloratura passages, etc. She sounds like a 'hybrid soprano' (dramatic, coloratura, lyric, etc.). I can't imagine someone sounding 'better' throughout ALL of the piece.
Very good, yet even much better with Arleen Auger (the most recorded voice ever), CD2 of the excellent "Mozart: Greatest Hits". Search Google or Amazon for "Martern Aller Arten Moge".
wow! that was smooth! such an incredible range.. there's no question she's an excellent lyric coloratura! and she sings effortlessly! amazing!=D
bravo. i love you ruth!!!
