Constantly inspired by Sally. I’ve run a decent amount of races, with half marathons being my longest distance. I have severe nerve damage and was told i’d never walk again after breaking my back in 2009. My first half was in April of 2009 and my accident was December 2009. I had planned to run fulls then 50k’s then who knows, but it took me four years for me to relearn how to walk then run and I ran another half in 2013 and over the last 10 years i’ve run and run and run 5k’s, 10k’s and half’s. I don’t know if i’ll ever reach that full distance but i’m going to keep trying and keep struggling and keep suffering. 🏃‍♂️ 💪🏼

I also run half marathons and had a casual run club come it at where I may have broken a race walk record after working on my military days and need to go try it out at USTAF. I’m still NCAA div 1 scholarship levels on not isolated or measured to course to my 5ks and 10ks at Masters entry, so I have a lot of time left. I’m happy for these records. This is where I think pursuit by traffickers, fasting and campsite improve my run from where I was a bivouac to soldier road march. We all have strengths. I know mine is carrying more weight than an average soldier and completing a 25k road march with rifle.

This documentary is NOT what I expected. The video thumbnail intrigued me. I’m not a runner and the only knowledge I have of running is what I see. I know the will to succeed at something can sometimes outweigh what the body is telling you to do. The mental, emotional and physical state this woman displayed is beyond human. Ok, so I spent 11 years in the Army, and I think the most extreme thing I did was a 60 mile patrol carrying a fair amount of weight, with numerous tasks along the way, 2hrs mandatory sleep, over the course of about 36 hours, made more interesting by badly rolling my ankle after about 4 or 5 miles. Completed it, but ended up going straight to hospital for 3 or 4 days followed by a few months of physiotherapy.
Considering how the first sections went, to have the mental wherewithal to continue is incredibly impressive, because when your body is screaming at you, it is only your mind that can keep you going. Very good move to get your blisters treated. They go bad very quickly and you can end up in a world of hurt. Exceptional result all things considered.

I’m realizing that pain and even struggle gives you growth. I’ve been running since 2020 during shut down and was a soccer player as a kid but my love of running has completely reignited in me. I’ve only done 5ks but am working to do a half marathon. Life is hard to balance with work and a 6 year old son but watching stuff like this pushes me to be better and be a good representation for my son. Thank you Sally!❤

Such a beautiful and powerful documentary. You inspire me so much Sally, I'm currently training for a half marathon and your words and videos are helping fuel my training - there's no doubt in my mind im going to finish it (regardless of how long it takes me) because you have shown we have so much more to give than we think we do ❤️

    Sally,
I’m so beyond proud of you!!!! I tear up watching you because you motivate so many around you and you don’t quit and you push to levels many will never feel in their lives because they don’t dig deep and push to a level that is deeper than discomfort. You never let that voice win and you push hard when everyone else would throw in the towel. This generation is lacking humans that can embrace the discomfort and push even harder in those dire moments to achieve a goal for themselves or their loved ones. I’m so happy that I learned about you from Nick Bare and the team at BPN. As a runner myself I know the discomfort, I know the voice in your head that is sometimes stronger than you when you’re deprived nutritionally, emotionally, and physically. I loved every minute of this film and you have a fan and supporter for life 🤙🏽

The revelations and challenges and inner monologue to the mental struggle shared here are incredibly moving. What a beautiful record of the power of community, but mostly the fact that Sally is a fucking superhuman BEAST. As Billy said, "this is what you do." You are an inspiration, congrats on 3rd place! 💛

So incredibly inspiring. In a world full of people living for the next tik tok it is reassuring in a way, that not all is lost, and that some people still want to do the hard thing because it's the hard thing. Thank you so much for this Sally!

I love this and kudos to you lady! I started running after my first year in college & ran a half during my third year. I’ve also cherished how running has taught me to push through discomfort and learn that the best changes happen when you’re at that breaking point. I’m in my 2nd year of medical school now and the same principles have helped me to cope with difficulties and discomfort in my education as well ❤

There are people out there like Sally who have no idea of the impact they have on other's lives. Ultra running teaches lessons that nothing else in this world can teach and to have Sally push through what seems impossible and then have the humility to share her experiences, narrated with the most amazing quotes, is something to behold. I want to thank you Sally for the running lessons and life lessons you give to us. You are an inspiration to the world and you keep showing us that our creator has done something amazing within each of us, but we have to work hard to tap into it and BELIEVE. May you be blessed, protected, loved and happy. This was an incredible achievement after a long fight to the finish line, and a very emotional watch for me! Thank you for this!
